SUPER COMFORT! Wish I had discovered this mask YEARS ago!!!

I've been using my Ergonomic Sleep Mask for about a week now. As a day sleeper, I've used other sleep masks for over 25 years now, and I've tried everything from airline freebies to the run of the mill internet offerings. NONE of them have been really good. Most of them have been uncomfortable junk. I was surprised that The Ergonomic Sleep Mask is hands down the best sleep mask I've ever had, which caused to me to wonder why this mask works so well while others have ranged in quality from "abysmal" to only "pretty good". Finally examining it closely, the answer is simple: No Sharp Edges and No Hard Pressure Points. Somebody has finally sat down and put some serious THOUGHT into how to construct a comfortable but effective sleep mask. On the Ergonomic Sleep Mask, the soft elastic head strap is about 1 inch wide and had a smooth but positive sliding adjustment mechanism that allows just the amount of tightness you want. The elastic in the band provides just enough give to hold the mask gently but securely against your face without pinching or digging in. No cheap, sharp and stiff elastic - or worse yet thin strings, like in other masks. The mask itself is the real prize though. The mask incorporates concave eye pockets that give your eyes some room to breathe and keeps your eyelashes from clashing with the mask. Hate waking up with detached eyelashes in your eyes and all over your face? Me too. Makes me wonder where they all came from! That's not the best part though. While not being chunky and thick, the mask is all rounded and smooth surfaces that eliminate outside light (even in broad daylight), but without poking, gapping and causing pressure points anywhere. The only thing you'll feel is SOFT and SMOOTH! It's as if somebody made me a custom mask to fit my face. Another nice touch, which I've found useful, is that the mask comes with a pair of complementary ear plugs in their own sealable plastic storage case. I thought that was rather thoughtful and they work well too. I'm finished with the cheap, ill-fitting "sleep" masks that pinch, gap, poke and leak light. With the Ergonomic Sleep Mask I've finally stumbled upon a sleep mask that was actually designed by somebody intelligent to eliminate the many annoyances of lesser sleep masks and HELP someone get to sleep. For my money, it's cheap at twice the price. What's a good night's sleep worth to YOU??? I predict that anybody who tries this one will never use any other type of mask. This sleep mask is everything!

As a chronic insomniac sleep masks are a necessity for me. I've tried several others for comfort and fit, and thought I'd found 'the one' when I purchased another one that was ergonomically fit. But the edges of that one sometimes left indention lines on my face the morning after that took hours to diminish. So I finally settled on a previous model from this company, that was silky soft and comfortable. Apparently they read my comments from that review, noting the pleasure of an ergonomic fit. So when they made one with similar design they sent one out to me to give it a go, and offer feedback. The verdict: This model is heaven! At first look the construction and quality appear to be exceptional. It's bulky compared to most other models, and feels like you're handling some sort of hi-tech gear. Buy once on it feels weightless, the memory foam that makes up the frame is a dream. And the adjustable elastic band ensures a perfect fit. The coolest part about it is the ergonomic design, which allows your eye area to be absolutely free of any contact with the mask. Was amazed the first time I put it on and realized I could still blink, and the entire orbital area could breath. I awoke the next morning with barely any sense that my eyes had been bound...and most importantly, no lines. So needless to say, this product is my new love!

Blocks Out All Light!

I have been wearing sleep masks for years and have tried many different brands. This one is very superior-the design is comfortable and it does a great job at blocking out even the brightest of light. I would say this one is the best I've tried as far as blocking out all light. The way the mask contours is very comfortable and I personally prefer a snug fit, and this can be worn very snug. You can also loosen it if you prefer that. A lot of other designs stretch out quickly and either cant be adjusted or are velcro so once they're stretched out you just can't do anything about it. This one is not velcro and so far has no signs of stretching. This one is not only adjustable, but the adjusting clip is very slim, it is not noticeable at all on the back of your head. Some sleep masks can have a very bulky adjustment piece on the back that dig into your head while you sleep. This one is not like that at all. Overall it's very comfortable and does a great job blocking out all the light. It's the perfect sleep mask.

Very comfortable sleep mask!

This mask has thick foam padding around the entire eye socket leaving a nice pocket for blinking even with long lashes. It is super comfortable as a result, while still blocking the light so I don't know if it is morning or still night when I wake up. I received a free mask to review, but have liked it so much, it has replaced the mask I was using. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and find the comfort and light blocking the best of any mask I've tried - great design and quality. I would buy this mask if I ever need a replacement.

Complete Blackout

This is an amazing mask. It blocks out all the light. Had to get used to the fact that I can open my eyes and see nothing with this on. Comfortable and adjustable band in the back. There are times when I lay sideways that it may let in a little light, but if I tighten the band then it goes away. There are times when it felt too smug on my face but I just slid the band up a bit on my head and that feeling went away. By-the-way my eyes were open while taking the pictures. 🙂

Best Lightfiltering Mask Ever Made!

This mask had just arrived and I was about to take a weekend trip with my daughter. Since we split the driving, I needed something that would block the light and yet be comfortable on my eyes. This mask was like having soft foam pillows over my eyes! The light was totally blocked out. It was absolutely great at filtering the light. The mask itself was quite comfortable, while it fit snuggly around the eyes, it was not too tight and the material of the mask is a nice soft texture which enhances the product as well. I could actually open my eyes fully while the mask was on. Packaging was nice too. It comes in a hard box, with earplugs and a case for the Sleep Mask. I cannot wait for my next flight as this will be the most important item to pack. I would highly recommend purchasing this mask.

Beyond impressed with this company's customer service and I LOVE the new design!

Some background: Let me start off by saying that we've owned many sleep masks over the years. My husband works early shifts so the masks really help both of us sleep when it is still light outside. I had ordered a mask from this company (earlier design) and neither of us liked it compared to the one we were using. I left somewhat average review--it wasn't the worst we'd tried, but it wasn't as good as the one we had. As a result, I was contacted by a representative of the company who wanted to know what I didn't like about it and what I liked about others. I shared my thoughts and...much to my pleasant surprise, I received an email asking to try their "new and improved" sleep mask. I was so impressed by the follow up and follow through from this company that I bought the new mask and it is, in my opinion, the best we own! In addition to the new mask, I also received a pair of earplugs in a nice box and a silky bag to put the mask in then not in use. These are also very nice to have...BUT THERE IS MORE! It doesn't matter much to me (and I'm sharing this with the company) but they are also packaging all of this is a really nice gift-type box. It almost feels too elegant to use with the gift box--like something you'd receive in a really, really swanky hotel where you are spending $$$$ per night. (Note to the company: you could probably package in something not as high-end and your customers would still love the mask!) As I mentioned in my headline, the company's customer service is awesome--and this sleep mask is like having a soft little cloud surround your eyes! We love it!

Great eye mask

When you open the Amazon box there is this sturdy box that looks like a pretty gift box. When you open the box it even has tissue paper in it. The eye mask comes with a travel bag and ear plugs. The mask is memory foam so it is very soft but not bulky. It does not have any smell to it which is good. I get headaches from certain chemical smells but this mask does not have any so it is perfect for someone with allergies. The mask covers that gap area of your nose so that even when your eyes are open you don't see light. You can open your eyes completely and comfortably. The strap is adjustable so my 7-year old and I can wear it easily. The strap does not grab my hair. I recommend highly!

The absolute best eye cover out there, seriously

I have trouble sleeping, so for years I have to wear an eye cover to sleep deeply. Over the years I have tried every eye cover there is from cheap to expensive. This eye cover is the best out there, seriously. The head band that holds it on is firm yet very very comfortable. The eye cover itself does not press on they eyes at all and the total eye cover is lightweight and feels like there is nothing on. I feel as if I am in a totally darkened room and sleep better than before!

Great for side sleepers

The deep eye cavities allow you to open your eyes, which is great for meditating, napping on an airplane, and sleepers who occasionally awake during their nap. I have another 3D sleep mask, the Nidra eyemask, which has even deeper eye cavities. It is, like this one, good for meditating, napping on an airplane, or sleeping on one's back. However it is very easily moved out of position when sleeping on one's side. That causes light to enter through the bridge of the nose, which happens to be directly in the field of view. This product fits more securely, and can be used for sleeping on side or with head against a pillow without being jostled out of place. Despite the thick memory foam, it packs smaller than the Nidra in its own carrying bag. I like both, but this will be my go-to option for travel and for sleeping in broad daylight.
