I use this machine to print abs parts using black 3D hero 1.75mm filament.settings are 245c extruder 110c bed temp 3mm retraction distant This setting seems to work the best haven’t had any problems printing big parts. I also use a trash bag to keep the temps up. Cleaning the base with mek or alcohol.

I received my Mega S two weeks ago today. I have been printing a lot and enjoying getting into 3D printing. I printed the test owls the first night and have been downloading items from Thingiverse. The assembly is a snap. I had problems getting the filament to load but after that been printing fine. I started getting fans noise during initial turn on from the power supply fan and contacted Anycubic support. They answered my question within hours which is pretty good when contacting China. They are shipping me a replacement, so far so good. I am a new 3D printer and plan on using for hobby prints. After reading and watching a number of YouTube reviews I decided to purchase through Amazon. The printer comes with tools, scrapper, extra hot end, a full 1kg roll of PLA and five color 10m rolls. Plenty to get started printing. The stretching cat I uploaded was printed today using Cura 3.2, 1.5mm thickness, 45mm/sec speed, supports and extruder temperature of 200c and bed temperature of 60c. Again the book that comes with it is pretty good. Really helped me get great printed right out of the box. If you want to give 3D printing a try this is a good machine to start with!

I will start by saying I am new to 3d printing, the Anycubic Mega-S has had very good reviews across various internet channels. I would like echo pretty much everything that has been said by the various reviewers. This printer does an excellent job in pretty much all key areas, quality of build, advanced features, ease of use, current technology and responsive customer service. One quick lesson I learned from the Anycubic team was to dilute any alcohol used to clean the ultrabase, on my initial use cleaning the plate the coating started coming off the center. I contacted Anycubic and they responded immediately, they provided clear instruction for me and sent a new Ultrabase which I received in two days, very thankful and very pleased.

When I first started looking for a 3D printer and came across this one I was put off by the reviews. However, I did some research outside of the amazon reviews and found that many you tubers and reviewers had good remarks about the anycubic i3 mega. Deciding to go through it, I can say that I don't regret it at all. Setting it up was really quick and easy, and I actually had the test print it came with printing very quickly once I got the bed level. It came with a free kilogram of filament, and I've gone through most of it in less than a week. All in all, I don't regret buying it!

I'm hard on 3D printers. I buy cheap ($300-$500) ones and run them to death. Then I donate the bones to the San Diego Library's Maker-Lab for them to fix. I have also tried upgrades, and concluded they are difficult and unnecessary if you buy the right machine. The Anycubic Mega S is "The Right Machine". Here's why: 1. It heats up to 260 C. WITHOUT an expensive all-metal hotend upgrade. 2. The new Mega S model has a much better extruder than the original I3, for the same price. 3. The heated bed gets to 90 C easily WITHOUT a MOSFET upgrade. 4. They include an extra set of nozzles (0.4 to 0.8...a $30. value) and a completely assembled EXTRA hotend. Because you will want to mess with this printer like an erector set. And it STILL works after you, uh...take it apart. But then buy ANOTHER one because it just prints EVERYTHING (filament) so damn well. The second one, does not need upgrading, is what I'm saying. It just works great. I tried a custom-built $1300 American-made printer that sadly was no better, looked great, but just didn't run well and got a refund. This printer has nice little touches and is a tank.

I am new to 3d printing. After reading the reviews, I decided on the Anycubit i3 Mega S, Its 8.25" x 8.25" x 8.0" build area is plenty for the projects I have in mind. Assembly could only be easier if it was fully assembled (but, then it may have been damaged in shipping). Assembly and leveling took only 8-10 minutes. There was a slight learning curve for installing the filament. You have to have the end 4-5 inches very straight to line up internally in the extruder. After this was solved, off to the races! The two owls came out looking good using only the default settings on the i3 Mega S. In the 4 days I have had this unit, there have been probably 40 hours of printing. Most projects have been great. The only problems were either I did not set up the print correctly in Cura, or I needed to level the bed after changing the printers location. Keep it level and clean (with alcohol) and it works fine. I highly recommend this printer for everyone.

OK, so this was not on the top 10 list of printers for 2019 HOWEVER !!!! it is easy to assemble. I did it in 10 minutes, It comes with a 1kg roll of PLA. it prints up to 80 mm/s speed and down to 1 mm thickness. I am still getting used to printing on the heated bed but the recommendation to line the bed with Blue painters tape and print with a Bed Temp of 0 is working out fantastic. I am not yet using ABS or Carbon fiber PLA so the heated bed isn't needed for normal PLA and because you can set the temperature I am not yet used to it and need to find the perfect temp for PLA. The Test Owl prints which came with the USB stick printed with awesome detail. My only wish list items for this printer would be that the SD card was placed on the opposite side from the spool holder and that it would be Wifi capable out of the Box, other than that the Large format print and the speed are very satisfying. I have burned through a full 1kg roll of PLA in a week of printing everything I could think of.

I have been printing since I got the printer on March 23 and it has NOT CLOGGED YET. I have used all of my white PLA+ filament that came with the printer and most of my white PLA Plus filament by InLand from Microcenter and I never had to cleanout the extruder yet. I printed three Incredible Hulks (The same one you see in this ad) that I downloaded for free from www.Thingaverse.com and I wish I had not given them away before writing this review because seeing is believing. I got into 3D printing only because I created a designed in AUTOCAD and I needed to make a plastic model of the design for casting. After my experience with the SeeMeCNC Rowstock V3 Printer that cost over a $1100, and 1 years worth of time, I almost gave up because that printer clogged up during each print and I never got a successful print from that machine due to continues maintenance and parts breaking from unclogging the machine. ANYCUBIC Mega-S is a relieve printer. I printed my project using the CURA software with layer setting of .01 with a %100 solid fill. Yes It took a long time to print but the print came out so accurate and precise I printed two. If my design had a patient I would show you. I strongly recommend the ANYCUBIC printer as your first printer so you will know what a good 3D printer is like. I hope ANYCUBIC continue to build printers on the same platform as the MEGA-S.

In February 2019, I purchased the AnyCubic Mega-S 3D printer as my first 3D printer after doing hours of research. I feel I made a great choice with this printer as I now have a couple of hundred hours of print time on it. As I learned more about 3D printing, I found lots of others using the AnyCubic Mega printers and sharing information that was extremely helpful and positive. Out of the box it is easily assembled. There may be a bit of a learning curve to dial in the correct temperature settings for the filament you use but once you do, you will love the Ultrabase coating and how prints stick to it during printing. Even as a 3D Printer newbie, I was able to get the printer up and working within a couple of hours of receiving the printer. AnyCubic provided not only the printer, but detailed instruction, extra parts and the tools needed to assemble and use the printer. The print quality is fantastic! I had to contact support in April due to a heated bed issue after 2 months of daily printing. They worked with me to quickly determine the problem and ship a replacement part. After, shipping the part, they followed up to make sure I had received the part and that the issue was resolved. I had wanted a 3D printer for years but was hesitant for various reasons. I now wish I had bought one sooner but I'm so glad I picked AnyCubic Mega-S as my first printer due to the printers quality, support and such a positive start.

This is my first 3D printer and have been extremely satisfied with it. There's nothing I've been unable to do and the print quality is remarkable. This often does a better/quicker job than the creator photos on Thingiverse. I've successfully printed in PLA, PLA+, PETG, and Nylon with great results. I hear a lot about this being a noisy printer. I guess that's relative. I don't think it's loud at all. I printed a bunch of upgrades but it works great right out of the box. Highly recommend a Pi/Octoprint setup for ease of use.
