Works with Sony Headphones and Samsung UHD 4K TV
I have a 2018 Samsung Series 7 (NU7100) and Sony Wireless headphones (model WHRF400). Easy set up and good sound. Be sure to change the TV sound setting to PCM (Sound-->Expert Settings-->Digital Output Audio Format) and remove the plastic caps on the toslink (at both ends of the cable). On the TV, there's a choice on the Sound Output between TV Speaker and Audio Out/Optical. If I choose TV speaker, the audio comes through on both the TV speaker and the headphones. If I chose Audio Out/Optical, the audio is through the headphones only.

Works great so far!
I'm not an audiophile, but this works exactly as I need it for my TV to bookshelf stereo. Buy it, plug it in and never have to think about it again. Good job, folks!

Tiny, simple design, works great
This is a simple and tiny device that converts optical sound (TosLink digital audio signals to analog. This is useful to connect a TV which has only a TosLink digital audio output (no other audio outputs) to an "old fashioned" stereo which has RCA jack inputs. It is tiny (smaller than a pack of cards) and works great.

Works GREAT
Sounds great! I bought a cheaper one of these that just buzzed but I this one is compatible with my samsung 4k tv and the sound works great. Unfortunately my tv remote doesnt control the receiver now, but the sound is great thanks to this converter.

Happy with the sound quality
I have a analog karaoke mixer. While I am using Xbox to play music, I need digital to analog converter to connect this two equipments. After that, I use another analog to digital converter connect to Sonos which does not come with analog input port. All these works very well. The sound quality keeps like no converters between them.

Works exactly as advertised
I wanted an adapter or converter to connect the single wire (basically, a long headphone cord) to run my TV sound into the kitchen. Total elapsed time from opening the shipping box to up and running was about 6 minutes. I am not experiencing any sound delay between TV audio and kitchen speaker audio. I only gave 4 stars for durability since I've owned it for less than an hour, but it does look fairly solid. FYI, the main selling point was the inclusion of the USB cable with wall outlet adapter as many other models I saw required a power source but did not include it. EDIT: Make sure the sound settings on your TV are correct. If the output is "Dolby" this unit can't handle it (as stated in the description) and you might be surprised to hear static rather than sound! Settings adjusted (as instructed in the description as well) and everything is working as I wanted.
