Handy Little Gadget
I bought this device to keep my Google Mini off the counter in the kitchen so it wouldn't be exposed to water spills. Extremely easy to install (I'm 68 and did it myself). Only requires a screwdriver. It's very sturdy and looks nice on the wall. I agree with everyone that cord management is an issue but there were a couple of good recommendations here that I will try to keep my cord hidden. I saw a lot of reviews that complained about the price. I don't agree. I find the price to be very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Nifty shelf
As long as you are not looking to hide the wire for the echo dot then you'll like this. It's a nifty little shelf. I wanted to save room on my bathroom counter (small counter area) and this did the trick. Just had to be crafty with the wire. Its not perfect but I left it tucked into the hole. If you can deal with that then I say great buy but if you're looking to hide the wire this isn't it for you.

Versatile and inexpensive
Using this product to hold my echo off the counter top in the kitchen. Tucked behind the coffee maker. Keeps it clean and saves space. Bought two. Second one is in my workroom in an outlet near the floor.

Really a great buy!
This product is great for a bathroom or area where you do not want your counter space used up. We use it in our master bathroom and we like it on the mount so it will not get wet. Easy to install as well. The only draw back you might have is there is no where to really hide your cords and it makes it so you lose an outlet de to the plug.

Great quality
Love it. Works great. Just wish there was a compartment to hide the excess wire, but it Can be modified ,if you have nothing better to do like me . I cut a slot on the bottom side of the base to run the wire to the top, then removed the excess plastic from underneath the top of the cover to hide/ fit the wire inside. Works and looks great. No more long ass wire in the way

I'll probably get another one.
This was a great add on purchase for my new echo. It works great and looks great. Having to take off the outlet plate for installation is a little annoying but you really only have to do it once. For some kitchens like mine where the counter edge stick out it means you can't use the bottom plug for some things.

A Woman's Perspective
When I set out looking for a way to get the dot off my countertop in my kitchen, I did not expect this result. Ordering this item was easy (as always, who doesnt love Prime shipping). Shipping was fast and it was packaged nicely. Being the neat freak that I am, and beleiving everything has its place I decided to give this item a try, because honestly it was this or letting it sit on the countertop, and since it wasnt sitting on the countertop...... here we are. Once it arrived installment took 5 mins at the most (4 of those minutes were spending time in the garage trying to find a screwdriver. My husband doesnt have the same view about everything having a place). After the scavenger hunt, I now had the one thing that previously stood between me and getting the ECHOGEAR Shelf installed, a screwdriver. Installment was as easy. You just remove the screw that holds the socket plate in place, place the ECHOGEAR Shelf and shelf plate over the socket and replace the screw. Now ladies I know what your thinking, isn't it dangerous tampering with electricity? It's not dangeous unless you decided to take the screw driver and stick it in the socket and stir it around like you are stirring that first cup of coffee in the morning (so you can drink it as fast as you can without giving your tongue and throat third degree burns, while the kids are fighting and screaming they cant find their stuff, even though it is on the floor in front of them). The fit over the socket was good, it aligned with the socket perfect. Once it was installed, I wasn't very happy with it. I wasn't happy with it not due to any fault of the product, I wasn't happy with it because it was different. So not only am I a neat freak that likes everything thing in its place, I am a neat freak that likes everything in its place that doesn't like change (all sympathy cards can be mailed directly to my husband). Deciding to give the ECHOGEAR Shelf a chance I left it in place, and tried not to pay to much attention to it. (This was like trying to ignore someone in Walmart wearing a tutu, army boots and a bikini top in the middle of winter; its such a train wreck you cant help but look at it). You will be glad to hear I have adjusted to it. Overall, I am very happy with this product and I will be ordering more of them in the future. If you are looking for a way to get the Dot off the countertop, floor, or just somewhere to put it, then shop no more, you have found the product for you.

Simple design, Easy to install
I bought this to have a device in my living room "hidden" behind a chair. I have limited space to have these on table tops, so this was a perfect solution. I was able to install it in less than 5 minutes and the Echo fit perfectly on the tray. There was no interference with the bottom outlet and I was able to plug my surge strip into that with no problem. I have some outlets in my place that have one plug controlled by a wall switch. It is generally the top one... If you have an outlet that is similarly controlled, please note that you may have an issue plugging the Echo in the bottom outlet and having room for another bulky plug in the top outlet.

Simple Mod to hide the cord.
The top (void) has enough free space to fit the cord no matter what device you are placing on top. I'm surprised they didn't leave an opening to shove it in. I simply used a small drill bit to make a hole and then widened it. Then slowly fed the cord excess into the void. I used the bit to carve a small spot letting the wire feed up to the echo and remain flush against a wall. I chose to use the top outlet and have the plug upside down. This shows almost no wire. Super clean look. I don't need the use of the other outlet so this works to my advantage all ways. Then I mounted the unit and plugged in my echo. My sister paints these on her Etsy site. My favorite is the American flag, Some of the vines ones, and abstract color drip is cool too.
