Great

I can not rate durability because I haven't had this mattress pad long enough. What I can rate is the accuracy of its cooling nature. I wake up drenched almost every night with my Tempurpedic mattress. My hair damp, clothing soggy and hardly any sleep. I love my mattress but the heat trap is real. I bought this mattress pad to try to dissipate some of the heat and holy hell, it works! It did soften the mattress a tiny bit. If you have night sweats, stop reading and just buy this topper. I can't believe I've waited so long.

Mattress

I bought this mattress pad because I bought an extra-firm mattress two weeks ago. I’m an extra-firm mattress sleeper because firm mattress will give me great back support and I like the feeling of not sinking into something. What I didn’t realize is that an extra-firm would exacerbate the arthritis that I now experience. So my knees and shoulders have become increasingly painful. Hoping to get some relief, I started looking at mattress pads online. When I opened the packaging, I was not to be assaulted by a chemical smell. I was also very pleased that the deep pocket was plenty roomy and fit over my very thick mattress with ease. Most of all, I was delighted with the difference this padding makes to the quality of sleep I now experience. The first night I slept 12 hours! I’m kind of surprised that a pad could make this much difference, but it sure does for me.

Good thing

Just received mine a few days ago and threw it in the dryer for 1 hour to fluff it up. I put it on my mattress and it fits rather well. As for adding comfort to the mattress, WOW!!! I am really impressed by the added comfort. I would definitely recommend this mattress pad, especially for the price. Update... Okay so I slept on it and it felt much cooler than my old mattress pad.

Great buy for the comfort

This is amazing. We needed a mattress pad but my husband didn't want one because he gets hot and sweaty at night. He said all the previous mattress pads made it worse. Took a chance on this one due to the reasonable price and good reviews. Could not be happier! My husband loves it. Very comfy and keeps him cooler at night. Very cool when you first lay down and keeps you pretty cool throughout the night. The whole pocket is elastic and deep, it holds mattress tightly even toss and turn on bed. After 30 mins dried in our dryer, it came out about 1.5inchs, not super thick but soft and thick enough for our situation. Definitely a great buy though!

Quality "Pillow Cloud"

Extremely Pleased with this mattress pad cover. Have a pillow top bed to begin with, but wanted to add a little extra "pillow" for more softness and comfort. This mattress pad definitely added a pillow soft "cloud". Arrived neatly folded in vacuum sealed bag. No odor, No stains, No bad stitching. Every quilted "cloud" is completely filled, pad is not missing filling. Fluffed/Freshened in dryer on low heat, rearranging every 5 minutes, for 30 minutes. Barely a thread caught in the lint trap, no lint. There is plenty of "fitted pocket", no chance of it slipping off on any side or corner. I have a good 6" to spare underneath my pillow top bed. The quilted top mattress pad itself fits evenly across to the edges of my mattress, not short on any side. Deep pocket fitted sheet still fits very well over this mattress pad, not too tight. Overall thickness of this "pillow" top mattress pad cover is approximately 2". Cotton is naturally cool to the touch, so yes, the top does feel cool. The pad itself is filled with 100% polyester, which does warm up a little, but it isn't hot. Doesn't seem to trap heat. Wasn't looking for a super thick mattress pad. Only needed just a little more soft fluff to add to my pillow top bed, and this is exactly what I had hoped it would be :)

I've had name brand mattress pads that cost a fortune. They've never lasted long. Some are so heavy that it's a pain to get it on the bed. The wrap around sides tear easily because of cheap material.That is NOT the case with this mattress pad at all! Study material, lightweight, extra fluffy and a quarter of the cost of the last name brand one I owned. I love it so much that I'm going to buy a second one for another bed!

Good stuff

We have a firm mattress which I like, but my wife wishes it was a bit softer. Rather than buy a new mattress, we thought we'd try a mattress pad first. My wife is a "hot sleeper" so she didn't want anything with foam in it because they tend to hold heat. From the product description and the reviews, this mattress pad seemed to fit the bill. We put it on the bed the day that we received it. It did not have any kind of chemical smell or anything like that. It is not incredibly thick but it seems to have accomplished our goal. My wife hasn't had problems with her hip during the night since we put it on the bed. We have had it less than a week so we can't comment on durability or how easy it is to clean, but at this point we can say that we are glad that we bought it.

Highly Recommend

This mattress topper is very soft and super comfortable. My husband and I purchased this, along with a down mattress topper, to replace our older versions and could not be happier with our purchase. I actually did not even bother to wash and dry the topper, as is suggested, on the label, to speed up the fluffiness & to bring the pad back to life after being shipped very compactly. I unpacked the mattress topper, shook it really, really well, laid it out on the bed, for a few hours, (without tucking the pockets over the mattress) and then made the bed later in the evening. With the combination of the two mattress toppers (the other one we purchased was the Duck & Goose 2" plus mattress topper), it truly was like sleeping on a cloud. It was heavenly. I highly recommend. Of note....I am currently going through menopause and dealing with horrible hot flashes, and this topper really does seem to help. The bed feels cool and wonderful yet warm and cozy. I would highly recommend it.
