Learning curve
Opened it up, turned it on and went around the house just to see what it does. So far seems to be working great. There is a big learning curve for us older folks who just want to know how to simply read the various levels around the home. I was stunned to get dangerously high reading from brand new microwave even at 6 feet away. Wifi router is not dangerous unless near it-this makes no sense. I wish there was a good user manual for the lay person to understand what we should be looking at and understanding in the meter screen. We don't want to have to use any math to figure things out. The other thing I am hoping that will change with use is the kind of EMF we are looking at like cell tower, electric meter, etc. I would say at this point this is a very good value. Simple stay plugged in LCD flashlights set off the alarm with very high readings. The website is frustrating as there is no further info in order to register for forums ( just hit agree and nothing happens) and the "Try the exact user interface demo(simulation) software of GQ EMF Meter before you buy it, please visit GQ Electronics LLC download page" doesn't work for Mac. I would like to see the interface simulation thinking that may help us understand how to use the meter easier. You will not be disappointed and probably surprised by what things around your home you use every day have dangerous RF levels.

Protection for family and pets.
Great at telling you how high the electro magnetic field when you get too close to a dangerous level it tells you how far to be to maintain a safe level of radio frequency emissions. We are being so much more aware and carefully with appliances and electronics. Thank you!

Great meter, excellent company!
First, five stars for customer service! This is the best recent purchase I have made on Amazon. I’m having a number of health issues due to dirty electricity and EMF. This meter is very valuable in helping me to assess those risks. There is a learning curve as far as understanding the different types of EMF and their units of measure. I was surprised to learn that some of the highest EMF/EF sources in my environment are from my vehicle, my induction stove top and the wiring in my office. However, this mobile meter is somewhat delicate. I dropped it and must have broken a connection because I could only see info on half the screen. GQ sent out a replacement immediately. I highly recommend this company. I only wish they sold a protective case for this meter because it’s sometimes necessary to take it along with me.

Best deal around
The EMF 390 is more then I expected Thanks Great product

Works for what I have in mind
Using this tester I Was able to tell the amount of EMF, EMF and RF radiation in my bedroom at night. I also take it on trips so I can identify the radiation in the room and either unplug the emitting unit or cover it with a copper-silver sheet. I absolutely recommend this product.

Great product at an affordable price
Got this to check out RF levels at work from a cell phone tower above our top floor. Did an awesome job. Lots of features. Very handy. Look no further! :D

Just tested and it works!
I purchased this detector so I could check the electronic fields around my house along with EMF radiation and WOW! This thing works! I also bought it to see if the EMF protective clothing that I have work, and YES they do! I also used it to try out supposed EMF protection electronic devices (that you plug into a wall, or carry with you that operate on a battery) that say they protect you from EMF radiation and with this detector proved them wrong, at least for the devices that I have, so those claims were false! However, the EMF protective baseball cap and beanie that I bought here on Amazon work PERFECTLY! I highly recommend this device. HIGHLY!

Great little product for the price
I compared specs for a range of meters and this had the best set of capabilities for the price. Having electric, electromagnetic, RF to 10GHz, and an integral multi-channel spectrum analyzer is a huge bonus. Yes, this may not be as precise as professional grade meters/equipment, but it is a great little device to check your home even as a coarse measure. The LCD on first unit I received died after a couple of days, but they promptly shipped me a new/repaired unit within a week. This meter is very telling in regards to checking your laptop, cell phone, cordless phones, microwave and anything near your bed (including an alarm clock that was giving off excessive electromagnetic field near my wife's head).

Well designed, easy to understand and use
I really like this meter. It is simple to read and understand. I was able to find the “hot” spots at work and at home. Well designed and user friendly. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

a basic test device well worth having around!!!
I tried to download a better manual from the web site but only found them for other models, not this one. One thing I want it to not do is auto rotate the screen every time I move it slightly. Very annoying when trying to read the display!! (An email to the company told me the rotating display is called "swivel" and can be turned off the auto mode. They also sent me a link for the proper manual in easy to read PDF... now they can have that 5th star!!!! I was a radio communication tech for 35+ years so I'm pretty picky on how test equipment should work. But it seems to work as advertises. I have a state police 800 meg (30 channels trunked) radio tower with microwave dishes all over it in my neighborhood. . This unit told me my home was not in any strong RF fields from that tower. (My friend who lives much closer lives in a 24/7 RF bath that is truly scary) This unit did quite well at picking up power line EMF, the biggest problem in my home. The Dell computer tower under my desk (pretty much radiating EMF between my legs) was a huge offender and just had to be moved. The computer in my bedroom is a better Dell and had nearly zero radiation. My WIFI was well placed but if your WIFI sits close to you where you sit, move the dam thing so it is at least several yards away (around the WIFI box the RF field is quite strong). (low quality LED and more industrial home/office florescent lights may surprise you and how much EMF and RF they put out) I'm not so sure this unit is good at picking up the intermittent pulses an idle cell phone constantly sends. They do cause the meter to respond but because they are pulses the meter averages them. If you or a child sleeps near a cell phone test/measure its RF output when the phone is on a call.... it puts out that same amount of power in its pulses (and its not healthy, in fact pulsed power can be worse for you than constant power). Will this work on 5G??? Most 5G will be above its operating frequencies but it should pick up the constant pulses as rf or EMF. (There is nothing good about 5G and its constant "milometer" wave frequencies and constant digital modulation pulses. .. fight to keep it out of your area, if you loose that fight (and you will loose) ,,,MOVE or try to shield yourself from the 100% area/busines saturating signals... that is predicted to be in place and operational nationwide by 2020!!!!!
