Awesome Product! Totally worth the price!

Our family of 4 has LOVED these Relays!!! We have 2 girls, ages 5 and 2 and they are so easy to use and the kids love them. I have dropped my daughter off for several play dates at houses (next door and in different neighborhoods) and I can check in on her through the Relay - it's awesome! She can tell me what they are playing or when she's ready to come home! They were like walkie talkies and are small enough to fit in your child's pocket! They are very durable - in fact ours have been dropped on the playground, and in dirt, and still work great! I love that I can call the kids in from out in the backyard when dinner is ready with just a quick call on the Relay! My kids love playing with them and feel so cool and grown up! It's the perfect amount of technology for young kids with NO SCREEN time and it's useful for communication (no cell phone needed) and for safety!! Also - the phone app for parents is super helpful too - you can tune in to all the conversations going on on all of the connected Relays. And the COMPANY's customer service is TOP NOTCH!!! I give this product all the starts and HIGHLY recommend it for your children of all ages!!!

Great for kids! Best option I’ve see yet!

I love the relay. I bought one for my daughter in first grade. She has had issues with missing the bus from school. Now I am notified right away. “Mom, the bus left without me.” I like that I can use an app on my phone and not have to buy another relay. I had issues with connectivity and relay sent me another SIM card to improve my service. They have the best customer service! When my son is a little older I’ll be getting him one also. I love the gps locator, I always know where my daughter is when she isn’t with me. It’s great! It eases both of our anxiety knowing we are literally a push of a button away from talking.

Genius product for the kids, plus a whole lot more

I bought this to keep tabs on my kids, and have ended up using it for that and so much more. This is a great product for being able to stay in touch with my kids (ages 8 and 11) and to know where they are. We have been trying to limit their screen time and have been delaying getting them iphones based on all of the articles about how bad screentime is for kids, so this is just the product we have been looking for. But it turns out we use it for so much more than this - it has a built in English-Spanish translator that I used extensively in Mexico last weekend (my high school Spanish isn't great), and my wife and I use it all the time in our small business to talk to each other when we're in different parts of the store - it is just much faster for quick communications than a cell phone - you're talking instantly, kind of like the old Nextel phones. So cool. And the battery seems to last 3 days or more....Plus I have dropped this thing a dozen times on cement and it seems indestructible. A real A+ product....

Great for a long distance grandma

I bought this for my 5 year old granddaughter for Christmas. Hearing her call me to tell me that I am her best friend made this purchase great for me. She can "call" me whenever she wants to and I love it! She doesn't always hold the button down long enough for me to hear everything she is saying but it's getting better. I'm not sure how long she will remain interested, but so far it's the best gift ever--for both of us.

Perfect for kids who don’t need a screen!

I absolutely love the relay! My almost 7 year old has a few friends in the neighborhood that he often visits. I always hated that I didn’t have contact as he was walking over there but now the relay has changed that. I can now see via GPS exactly where he is and he can tell me when he gets there. He finds it fun to be able to communicate whenever he wants. I didn’t want him to have another screen so the relay is perfect! Such a value too! The $10 a month is 100% worth it.

Superb Customer Service

So it’s been a month since I purchased this device and we’ve had some bumps along the way. After we unboxed it and started an account, we decided to try it around our neighborhood. It didn’t do so well. My child couldn’t connect and we kept losing signal. She wasn’t even a block away from our house. So, I contacted support though the Relay app and I’m telling you, I’ve never had such awesome support ever. The representative, Danielle, was ever so patient as she walked me through the possible causes and tried different solutions to the problem. One of the tried solution was to replace the SIM card that came with the device. Danielle checked our area and said that we didn’t have a very good cellular service where we live, so she shopped out a new SIM card and proceeded to give me a free month’s worth of service for the trouble we were having. After getting the new SIM card and going through the steps of setting it up, the Relay device stopped connecting altogether. Danielle stayed and helped me find solutions once again and in the end, decided it was a faulty device. They shipped us a replacement at no extra charge. They even gave us another discount from our monthly subscription for all the trouble. We got the replacement device and Danielle had included a nice little Relay T-shirt in the package for my daughter. Danielle walked me through the setup and recommended that I DO NOT use our WiFi to connect the Relay device. She said to use cellular service instead. It worked and we haven’t had any issues since. We tried it again around our neighborhood and didn’t lose connection. We even tried it when we’re miles and miles apart and it worked just fine. It also worked where we needed it most when we were at a festival and my daughter was with her friends riding the rides and I was working one of the food booths. It serves its purpose well and I highly recommend it to my friends and family. Plus, it’s very rare to get superb customer service anywhere nowadays and I applaud them for theirs. I hear they’re moving towards making some updates to the device so that you don’t miss a “call” from your child when they’re trying to get in touch with you and you’re not on your Relay or Relay app. I’m loooking forward to the upgrades.

Great product for the price

When we first got our relay we had an issue with getting it to work off of WiFi. I contacted their customer service (which are fantastic people) and they sent me a new SIM card that works better for the area we live in. Since installing it works great! My 7 year old loves it, he’s been wanting a phone which I refuse to buy since he’s so young and this still lets him be able to contact me. All the kids in our neighborhood have one now and they all think it’s the coolest thing ever. I haven’t charged his relay since Sunday and it still has a 43% battery life. The GPS tracker is a little bit off but I didn’t expect it to be spot on either. The only thing I wish it was capable of doing is always being able to hear your child as soon as he starts talking. You have to open the app before you can hear them. Other then that it does what it’s supposed to do!

Great for traveling parents

For the cost of the Relay device with an LTE plan, I am not disappointed. I travel a lot for work and this takes some of the burden off of my husband passing messages and "Goodnights" to the kids. I feel more connected to them because it's direct communication with them.

Great for Old Folks

With an invalid wife, she is able to get me for help and I can check on her wherever I am.

Great for elderly

I have been using this with my dad, who has dementia, for several months now. Before we were having nothing but frustration with cell phones and watch gps trackers. This unit is easy for him. Small enough to carry in his pocket with his keys. One button operation and he can talk to me. I can respond with the app on my phone. Just like a walkie-talkie only better because it works over the cellular system. Also sturdy. I highly recommend for elders and kids.
