This globe is a big hit with my grandkids who enjoy studying the globe and locating countries they have heard about in the news, or read about in their history and geography classes. The details and relief are clear and legible, and the illumination is bright and beautiful. The globe operates on 4-AAA batteries which are included. Also included is a magnifying glass for viewing small countries and islands. The globe is plastic. The base is metal with a chromed finish and is very stable. The globe can be made to spin more freely by adjusting the set screw on top of the arm that holds the globe. A rocker switch built into the base makes it easy and convenient to turn the globe on and off. This is a really nice globe. The size is perfect for a desk, small table, nightstand, or pedestal, and I highly recommend it.

This is a nice little Globe! It lights up very nice and has very good detail. It works very well as a night light 2. During the day there are different things that are illuminated on the globe which is nice if you have kids I highly recommend this for yourself or as a gift to someone else

Nice World Globe

This is a very nice globe, I was surprise at how bright and nice when lights up, I am also impress by the build quality especially at this price point.

Fantastic globe, for the price.

I was surprised at how nice this globe turned out to be. The base is metal. The globe itself feels like acrylic, but may just be plastic. The illumination is consistent. This is perfect for a kid in school or just sitting on the corner of the desk.

Amazing Colors and Illumination

I just got my illuminated Ikong 8 inch World Globe and was very impressed by the detail on the globe. All the places all over the were correct and accurate and bright easy to read colors. Batteries are included which makes it great that you do not have to search your home for batteries. They gave me a magnifying glass but the detail is clear and colors are clear. The best part it lights up and creates an almost magically effect. The colors seem to come alive. Excellent night light. This globe is great for all ages. I love being able to see all of USA and beyond. The packing was sturdy. Extremely happy with my Illuminated Globe.

Beautiful Globe - nice light

I like this for when the grand kids come over. Nice to teach geography. Makes a beautiful night light as well. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a globe. It is a smaller size, fits nicely on my bookshelf.

Really a Great Find

I bought this to give as a gift to another family, but my husband took one look and said "No Way". HE wants it! It is really a beautiful item. The details are crisp and clear, and up to date. As an amateur radio operator, he knows all the latest names of countries and he kept saying "Wow! They even got this right!" It is much smaller than a typical classroom globe, but of course it is eight inches and that IS smaller. But it is amazing how much detail is there without it being overwhelming. It is quite bright when it is turned on. The colors are bright and happy, on or off. It takes four AAA batteries, included. What a wonderful little treasure!

I love this planet model! The color is very brilliant and the glossy finish is amazing. This item came very well packaged and does include the batteries. Easy to install and no need of power cord. Perfect for your office or your kids room. Very easy to read the names of the countries. The second picture is when is on and not using flash.
