Just got these to fill out my cart, but..

They turned out to be a really good filler ingredient. Boiled down a pound of tomatoes a neighbor gave us, added some seasoning, cooked ground chicken, a diced onion, and 1 can of this sauce, and made meat sauce for Lasagna, that was likely the best I'd ever made. The other can was used to make Chunky Tomato soup, which also turned out well.

This is my favorite brand of store-bought tomato sauce.

It is thick and flavorful, especially when compared to other brands. Hands down, though, home-canned still wins the Oscar for best tomato sauce. But growing and canning tomatoes is a lot of hard, messy work. This is easier. Hence, my latest foray into store bought tomato sauce.

Great taste, great size

I love Contadina's rich, flavorful taste! Rarely, will you find the tomato sauce in this size at the grocery store, so this was an added bonus.
