Best locking mechanism for a gait

Best locking mechanism for a gait!!! Best locking mech for the price. Easy to install and no ones getting in. And I can open the gate from the inside when locked from the outside. But you won't be able to get in without the comb. Simple but great idea!!! It's one of those things that you think "Why didn't I think of that!"

Nothing else like it on the market. I've used two of these, one on and out swinging gate and one on an inswinging gate. Yes, having it on the inswinging gate makes for much easier and sturdier installation, but both are possible. Brilliant mechanism, and seems to be the only one on the market. My kids and I can leave the backyard by pushing up the latch, or we can enter from outside using the combo. The only downfall, I think, is that you have to lock it on the combination, close the cover and then roll the tumbler. So, you can't just use it, go in, and expect it will lock behind you. So that's a bit of a headache--to have to open it and then close it and reset the tumbler--and then enter the yard if you want it to lock behind you. Also, I accidentally installed it upside down on the first gate, but I like that better. Why? Because it protects it from rain getting into the mechanism itself, and it uses gravity to stay closed. So, left unlocked, it easily stays in position for later use. Anyway--nice discovery. Brilliant idea. Hope they trademarked it or got a patent.

Now I can access my gate from either side!

I'd been looking for a solution to be able to lock and go through my backyard gate from either side. This is a great solution. I installed this a bit differently than the instructions. My gate swings out and I didn't want to totally alter the hinges and basically totally redo my gate - so I mounted the combination part of the lock on the door instead of the fixed post. It works like a charm and I'll probably buy another one for the gate on the other side of my house.

Very easy to use and requires no key!

I bought three of these locks for my property, and they all work beautifully and easily. They all replaced much flimsier and cheaper locks that required a key for entry, which was a hassle not only for us, but also for neighbors who checked our garden during our absences. This lock is very easy to use in either direction, and I recommend it unequivocally. Tech support for any questions or problems is outstanding.

Brilliant in its simplicity!

This lock is awesome. I installed it inside of 30 minutes and instantly had access in/out of gate from both inside AND outside! Exactly what I was looking for. It's essentially the same as running a string through a hole to lift the latch from the outside only the string is "protected" by a simple combination lock. Also, mine arrived with a broken "cover" for the combination lock. I contacted the manufacturer through their website and the shipped out a replacement piece right away.

Feel much safer

I used this product to secure the gate to my backyard. It is solid, works smoothly and looks good. I feel safer knowing that no one can easily open my gate and take whatever they want in my backyard. It certainly is an excellent deterrent.

Good option for inswing gate

Only good option for inswing gate. Very happy have installed three of them.
