Molten Mayhem

Based on characters from the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home film, this excellent LEGO set features a giant Molten Man, Mysterio, a firefighter, and Spider-Man in what appears to be a new suit for the MCU. Molten Man is very fun to build. He features pieces of vehicles, street signs, and lights coming out of body from different angles. He also has a claw that can be used to grab the LEGO minifigs and a firing cannon for an arm. Mysterio, Spidey, and the firefighter are all standard minifigs. My son loves this set and it is compatible with all of the other LEGO sets. It's a great addition to any LEGO collection.

One of the top Marvel kits

I am a longtime LEGO fan. I believe they are educational toys, particularly when it comes to learning to focus and follow directions. I also believe they are just plain fun. Fun to build and fun to admire and play with when you're finished. The Marvel kits are usually outstanding, and the Molten Man Battle is no exception. It is certainly a fine kit. If you are a Marvel fan or just a Spider-Man fan (who isn't these days?), you will really enjoy the this kit. If not, you will still have a good time putting it together and playing with it later. This is a medium-sized kit of 295 pieces and is not hard to build. The results are worth it. Another fine kit from LEGO. Highly recommended, especially for the Marvel fans out there.

Worth the price for Mysterio

For the upcoming Spider-Man movie, LEGO releases this Far From Home tie-in with the Molten Man battle. I have not seen the movie and not sure if this is something I should anticipate, but I am excited for its released. This LEGO build is relatively simple with 295 pieces, which also includes 3 figures: Spider-Man in a new costume, Mysterio and a fireman to put out some fires from the destruction. It took me less than a day to put it together and was not terribly challenging, but its satisfying to complete a build in a short period at the same time. The overall figure when its done is pretty good. The original character from the comics he appears more as a Human Torch-like character, however, his powers derive from molten metal, so there's is that difference. As a fan of Spider-Man, I really enjoyed building this villain.

Neat build, neat pieces

This is a neat set of a hard to visualize as a Lego character. Legos are by definition bricks and parts and Molten Man is parts and, well molten ooze. This is a great job by Lego to bridge the worlds and as bad guys go a solid contender in the Lego visualization. The build is moderate difficulty with 7 being about right if a bit low for a novice builder. The parts are cool and the playabilty with this set is key, and is high. This character is well balanced so it can stand alone and robust enough that you can actually play with it and not have it break every 2seconds. High marks across the board, good buy!

Fun and Easy To Build Set

This is a fun and exciting set. I built this with my toddler, and we had fun doing it. It's pretty simple and can be done in a few hours. It's a cool looking set, and we have it on display. My son thinks the molten man looks like a giant pumpkin guy, and he doesn't know who the characters beside Spider-Man is. I love Lego and Super Heroes so this set is a hit for me. A little one could definitely have fun with their imagination with this set, but I like how the colors and figures look on my display shelf. I'm curious to see how accurate it is to the movie, but for now, this is a hit in our household.

Great Lego set

Our kids adore Legos. This one was a swell set, and my kid seemed to enjoy it. We get both small (good for cafes, short trips, etc.) and 200+ piece sets (1-2 hour project). My own view is that I do not like how Lego has been gendering their block with their marketing -- In the Friends sets for females, and the Creator and vehicles for boys. That said, the packaging works and my little kid prefers the little girls on the Friends vs. the more macho and boy-ier others. But the company could choose not to draw those lines, my kiddo would be equally pleased if there were pics of boys in the friends kits too, and they could include some funner designs to the male packs.

The Good: -Great detail -Lots of bullets to shoot -Can stand and articulate -Good value for the # of pieces -Comes with stealth Spider Man The Bad: -None The Bottom Line: This took our 6 year old about 2 days build and he loves using this as his pretend play monster. Molten Man always is the destroyer of other buildings. But stealth Spider Man is here to save the day. The detail on Molten Man is great and it’s really cool that his arms and legs articulate and he can stand on his own.
