Gets the job done.

Very pleased with this swift. It attached to my work table easily, runs smoothly and is very lightweight. I also liked that it came with a storage case.

Useful Tool

I ordered two of these umbrella swifts to give as gifts. As with anything, there are pros and cons. The pros: the swift has a good price point (most of the swifts we scouted were about 5 times as much), it comes with a carrying case, it's purpose is to make skeins into yarn balls and does so efficiently. The cons: there are no instructions on how to set up the swift, the item is a little flimsy and so is the case, but the case is big enough to see before you step on it. We don't need the most expensive tools to get a job done - we work our way up as needed. This swift is a good starter tool.

it works

It does what I expected. its a bit delicate, but once I got it started, I was able to wind my skeins into a nice, tight ball.

Fast and easy

After spending hours taking knots out of yarn skeins that I was trying to wind, I ordered this. I got the remaining skeins wound in minutes. I pulled it out of the container, attached it to the table, and hung my yarn on it without any problems.

Really, for the price, this is a great yarn swift!

I have never used a yarn swift before, and no instructions were included with how to set it up, but in less than 5 minutes I was able to figure it all out. Yes, it's not strong and sturdy, but it completely does the job. And it's nice having it's own case. I'm quite happy with this purchase! Woops! Just found the instructions tucked inside the carrying case!
