I found an old box with my tape cassettes from the 80s in the loft and decided to digitize the music. The Tonor Portable Cassette Player Tape Convertor does the job perfectly. The sound quality isn't perfect, but then many cassettes already weren't perfect when they were bought, and 30 years in the loft couldn't have been good for them either. Nevertheless, after doing some editing with Audacity, I am very pleased with the result! The machine does not need batteries and runs from the computer's USB power. The slight hum from the motor can be removed under the Effects tab using "noise reduction".

This little unit does exactly what is advertised. The accompanying software is easy to use. Just connect the Cassette player and follow the simple instructions in the little leaflet and it copies the tape to MP3. I have also used the software to transfer mini disc items to MP3. Excellent value for money.

I liked this so much I bought another one. I may buy one more. Does the job perfectly. Shipped promptly. And the Price was Right.

Amazingly easy to use and to get working with Audacity. The sound quality you end up with is exactly like what you hear on the tape. I used a program called Spin It Again to clean up the tape sounds and to add a bit more bass sound, and the tracks sound fine. There's really no getting it to CD quality, but I was very happy with how the songs turned out. Also, one of the tapes I needed to get songs off of was on the verge of ruin. I have tried to convert songs from this tape before using an auxiliary cable, and in most radios the ribbon would come out and get stuck in the tape deck and I had to be very careful to get the tape out without tearing the ribbon or otherwise making the tape unplayable for good. I bought this as a last-ditch effort. I put this same tape in this cassette player and had zero issues. The only issue is the USB cord is so short, so you do have to have the cassette player right by the USB port on your laptop or computer, or get a longer USB cable that will fit the slot on the cassette player. It can also be a little difficult to see exactly how to get the deck door open and to know which way you're supposed lay the tape down to get the side of the tape you want. But once you figure that out, you're good. Other than that, this helped me get old/rare tracks that I recorded off the radio as a kid/teen and can't buy anywhere (have honestly searched and searched for years) onto my iPhone with the rest of my music collection, with satisfactory sound quality. Totally worth the money.

A good product which does exactly what it says at a very reasonable price. The necessary Audacity software comes with it, so it can be used in conjunction with most P.C.s. I have been using it quite a bit and have no complaints beyond a slight distortion on the sound, but, to be fair, this may be a problem with my computer. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to copy any cassettes they may still have.

I was excited when I came across a box of cassettes that I thought were lost forever. After finding out that the tape deck from my boombox (purchased around 2005) no longer works, I ordered this because it's inexpensive and has high reviews. I'm very pleased so far. It's easy to use and functions exactly as advertised.

I bought the Walkman for my 13 years old son that enjoy and appreciate all genre music. He wanted to live the experience of the Walkman and he is so happy!

Bought as a player for old tapes rather than converter. It plays all my old tapes (1970's} with no problem although I am now reminded on how battery hungry these devices are. Am rediscovering all my old tapes.

I am very happy with this player. Honestly, for the low price they were charging for this player, I was not expecting too much, but after converting a few tapes I am pleasantly surprised. The sound quality is really good. If you have a bunch a old cassette tapes that you want to convert to digital, this little player will help you get the job done.

I have used this device to convert dozens of tapes and it has performed perfectly. Please notice:The quality of the recordings in line closely with the quality of the tapes. This seems rather low price, because it's light and made of plastic, but it performs as good as I expected. Reliably makes high-quality recordings.
