In general, all the Colombia clothing runs large example my husband is usually a size Large in all shirts and tshirts and on Colombia he is a size Small, so consider buying a smaller size it applies for Women and Men, since I am also a Medium-Large in women size in other brands and I wear a Small on colombia shirts. hope this helps

I read some reviews of this shirt about the sizing which stated buy a size smaller that you would normally buy, so I bought a medium as I would normally buy a large. The medium was too small. I returned and bought a large which is perfect. So for me, I buy this shirt in a large as I would for any other shirt I would buy. The shirt is wrinkled when arriving. I used a steamer, and it removed the wrinkles nicely and quickly. Be careful using a steamer. It is nylon/polyester, so I just hit it quickly and don't leave it too long in one place. The steamer is always moving over the fabric. Good shirt. I like it , and will probably build a collection of these in different colors. Excellent summer shirt, and will be cooler than a T-shirt in my estimation. Never heard of a fishing shirt before. Glad to make this discovery, though I will still get my fish from Costco and wear this shirt as I buy them.

I grew up in Florida and spent most of my time outside. As a result, I've got scars all over... I've had so much scraped, burned and cut off of my body, I look like I was in a knife fight with Pahoo-Ka-Ta-Wah. I need the protection when I'm out in the sun hiking, fishing, cutting the grass or whatever and I hate sunscreen or lotions. This shirt is well made, comfortable and looks good. Big pockets. Plenty of room, I wear Xlarge. I would say the sizes are true. I'm 6' 2", 210 lbs. This shirt fits great, is warm but not any warmer than a cotton long sleeve shirt. Unless there's a breeze it's going to be warm, especially if it's 90 degrees in the shade. I liked the first one so much I ordered three more.

I bought this shirt to wear backpacking, and I’m really putting it to the test. Sometimes I wear it for 2 weeks at a time without washing it, all while hiking and wearing a pack. It’s held up great so far. I love how light the fabric is. The shirt keeps me cool in hot weather and serves as an adequate base layer in cold weather. There is some discoloration from sweat, but nothing too bad. I love how the sleeves roll up and down. It feels very secure and looks good. The shirt seems like it’s going to live forever even thought I’m asking a lot of it. There are no rips in the fabric despite the fact that I’ve worn it through many forests and scrambled up and down rocks. There is plenty of room in the shoulders for movement. I am a 5’8” female and I weigh 180. I ordered a men’s medium because I wanted it to be big. I used to own a small and it was still big on me, but I like them this way so they are very airy. I will attach a photo.

I had an exact shirt in different color in medium that I thought was a bit small for me, this Large feels just a bit too big... but the large is more comfortable then the medium... So, at 5-10 195# I would go for large over medium. Otherwise, these are my favorite shirts now, casual but nice enough to wear to church!

This is the second shirt of this type I've bought. I use it in Baja for summer fishing on the Sea of Cortez where it is frequently 95+ degrees and humid in unfiltered sun. Me and the shirt are in the sun for about 8 hours. The material is very lightweight but blocks the sun at SPF 50 level, I think. The sleeves can be rolled up to short sleeves or left longsleeve. I leave them down and the material is very breathable so your forearms stay comfortable. I also turn up the collar to protect my neck. I wash it out at the end of the day and it's dry in a few hours and ready to go for the next day. It's nice to do so, but you don't need soap to wash out the sweat. I just rinse it well in fresh water and air dry it. My last shirt lasted 10 years (maybe that's about 200 days of use) and the only reason I got a new one is because the fabric is beginning to feel a little thin. But after all this use there are no rips, no seams coming undone, no buttons falling off...so, good construction.

I got this shirt for my husband for Christmas. I had bought/ordered one for my father a year or so before and my dad loves his. Uses his for golf a lot. My husband and I like to hike and camp and kayak and go birding and I figured this would be a great shirt for those types of activities. The shirt fit my husband perfectly, and the color looks just as it was shown. The shirt has performed very well and my husband says it is very comfortable. It seems very well made and has gone through the normal wash cycle and low setting on the dryer several times now with no show of wear or fading. It doesn't seem to wrinkle more than I would expect. We take it out and hang it up fairly quickly, but do not iron it. We are planning a trip to South America next late spring and this shirt will surely be packed as it will perfect on jungle hikes there. We will need something that breathes well and will dry quickly. The shirt is also attractive, so it looks good tucked in to chinos with a belt as nicer casual attire for when in town.

It is a well made shirt. One sleeve comes rolled up and buttoned to stay rolled up so you know how it is done now. Pockets are of a useful size. Everything is well made. The shirt fits neck and sleeve length as I expected it too. But all these types of shirts (I bought three different shirts of three different brands) all come big bodied and shoulders that overhang my shoulders. The Columbia shirt comes with an extra seam which ads attractive emphasis the shoulder area. None of the shirts fit like tailored shirts. They are not meant to they are meant for hot sunny climate where you want good airflow to stay cool.

Most want to know the size! I am 6 feet, 175 lbs., and always wear a large, 34-35 sleeve. I ordered this Large long sleeve and the sleeves fit perfect. The rest fits a bit big, in the shoulders and body. I then ordered this short sleeve in Medium. Fit is more typical of a large, as compared side by side along all my large shirts. I included pictures and measurements because they tell the truth, I wish more reviewers would also! If sleeve length is not an issue, the medium fits best if you normally wear a large, unless you want that extra room. Being slim and trim, the medium is still more roomier than my other large shirts. Medium body is 24.5", and large is 26" wide. Length from armpit to tail, med. 15.5", large is 16". Shoulders from seam to seam is, med. 21.5" and large 22.5" The sleeve length of a long sleeve is 33.5. on a large. If someone else could post a review of the sleeve length of a medium, measured from collar to end of sleeve, that would help others!

This is a great shirt! Yes, it runs large, but we bought our size anyway. As an ocean fishing shirt it is comfortable. And if he falls overboard can be seen easily. Kidding of course, no one wants the Captain over board. We got a fabulous deal for buying a not so popular color, the bright lime green. Quality Columbia brand construction and product. Have several of these and they last forever, indestructible! Prefer the nylon fabric over polyester. A nylon cotton blend would be even better.
