Perfect, exactly what I needed!
Perfect for a quick little toddler who loves to dart away! A bonus is my 2yo daughter LOVES it. Very well made & adorable. Only wish the lead was a little longer (though from what others I've seen, seems it's about standard length)

Great way to keep your kid close!
I just love this cute little backpack! Some reviews mentioned that it was too small, and I almost didn't buy it. But I took a chance and I'm glad I did. Because it is the perfect size for us! I don't use as a mini diaper bag like some reviews say they do, because I don't want my baby carrying the weight. He's super active, and the only thing inside is a Norwex cloth to wipe his hands when needed. So the size is perfect. The "leash" is also the perfect size, allowing him to feel like he's free to move. But at the same time keeping him close enough that I can grab him if I need to prevent him from falling or getting into things he's not supposed to. The color is very pretty and happy, and the material seens to be good. I will definitely buy again if I ever need a second one, or if I need a gift.

Best backpack and leash for toddler
My little boy never wanted to stay on stroller for a while. Every time I brought him out, I was super nervous to lost him or to see him running to any danger. However, this little backpack with the harness and leash saves me!!! First, the product has a really high quality and pretty look. My boy and I both like the red fox so much. It is also water proved. His milk bottle was leaked once inside but I only need to wipe the inside to clean. Second, the design of harness and leash is super helpful. It can release the pressure on little one's shoulder, and of course, easy to control their movement. Right now, I can walk both of my son and dog together, even close the the pond. Once the kids grow up and can control themselves, it is always easy to take the leash off and let it just be a cute backpack. I would definitely recommend this great stuff to all.

Great size for 1-3 year-old
We brought this backpack with us on vacation and it was the first backpack that our almost two-year-old would actually wear on her back. It also didn't get loaded up too much with weight so she could carry it with a few of her toys. It is super cute and durable. It is smaller than most little kid backpacks so it fits toddlers really well. We didn't really use the leash, but it folded nicely into the side pocket (since we didn't unclip it.)

Not the big one, but still good
This is a great small backpack. I was searching for one for my 2 and 1/2 year old for an upcoming vacation and landed on this one because of the harness/leash. Skip hop is a great brand and the product is high quality, as expected. However, and this is my own error, it's not the 12 in backpack I thought it would be. It's closer to 8-9 inches. It doesn't fit the Amazon tablet with the kids case on. So I probably won't be taking it on vacation. However, it does fit a couple pairs training pants, wipes, snacks, etc just fine so we've been using it on day trips. The water bottle holder on the side might fit a skinny bottle but no normal water bottle, kids or otherwise will even get close (like CamelBak). The backpack can fit on a small ish adult ok as well. (See pic). My 2 year old doesn't like wearing it but he doesn't like wearing things so that was no surprise. He did like putting toys and crayons in it though.

We Love Skip Hop
We have 3 Skip Hop leash backpacks and 3 regular backpacks. We use the small leash backpacks for our youngest. One carries his own diapers, change of clothes, and snacks. Our other child has an anaphylactic allergy to peanuts. He carries his 4 epi pens, Benadryl, and emergency information. There is also still enough room for diapers (when he needed them) and snacks. We used our monkey backpack for a little over 4 years, every day. If we left the house this backpack was on him. It finally broke after a bit of a sticky drink got stuck on the buckles and we pulled too hard. We purchased the allergy patch and clip from Creative Clam.

Ignore the judgmental stares of the folks whose kids don't run towards traffic - use a harness without shame!
Too cute! And it seems to be very well made. My wife is very happy to use it as a micro-diaper bag for Sunday mornings--throw two or three diapers, a small pack of wipes, and a tube of lotion in the backpack, and it goes into the nursery with the kid. It fits our child perfectly, and we'll probably use it a lot. We're not in agreement with one another as to the length of the lead. I'd like it longer, my wife likes it shorter. She thinks it seems safer as it keeps the kid closer. She's usually right.

Perfect.
Our 18 month old is a runner. If it were up to him he'd be in the pool/lake/petting the random dog/riding the roller coaster/etc etc etc. This helps us keep him safe and close by. He actually really likes it and asked to put on his "bock pock" and wear it around the house. We use it for everything from Disney to walks around the neighborhood.

Well made, metal clip!
I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before I decided on this one. This toddler leash and backpack are very durable and well made. The clip on the leash and the clasp are metal, not plastic. This gives me peace of mind that I won't have to worry about the plastic clip breaking. I do wish the wrist opening on the leash was a little bigger. The backpack is sturdy and while a little small, perfect for him. My grandson is 3, but nearly the size of a 5 yr old, and it fits him well. Very adjustable so it will fit smaller or bigger children. It has a net side pocket that's perfect for a spippy cup or bottle of water. The inside can hold some wipes (I put some in a Ziploc bag), a few diapers and a couple of small toys. I feel that my grandson is much safer in a crowd now and I don't have to worry about him running off.

Perfect for my two year old
My two year old is pretty active and although she is good about holding my hand most of the times there are occasions where she refuses to. This little backpack is wonderful. Not only can I have the peace of mind that she won't run too far when she's not holding my hand, but she now carries her own snacks, water bottle, mini pack of wipes, and spare diaper (allowing me to retire the diaper bag and feel like a normal person again by carrying my purse!). A lot of other parents have seen her wearing the pack when we wander the mall or walk to the library and have loved the idea of it. The pack itself is small but we manage to squeeze plenty into it. We use the nalgene grip-n-gulp water bottles and it fits okay in the mesh cup pouch on the outside but doesn't keep it as secure as I would like. Even if that were the case I would still latch it to the top handle with a carabiner because I've been burned by mesh cup holders before. There are a bunch of designs to pick from, I showed her pictures of a few and she immediately picked the giraffe. She's perfectly happy to wear the giraffe and loves to buckle herself into it. It is now a necessity to bring along the giraffe whenever we leave the house.
