Love this guitar for travelling!
I usually play a full size acoustic guitar so it takes a little getting used to. It is perfect for travelling as It fits in the overhead bin of most aircrafts. I practice with it in my hotel room, usually without any connection to headphones or speaker, I can hear it just fine and I don't disturb any of my neighbors with it. I now don't miss any practice time when I travel it's great and I have recommended it to several of my fellow musicians.

Great travel buddy
Fantastic tool for keeping the chops in shape while on vacation. Light, stows very easily in overhead compartments, easy to carry. Since I've only used it on vacations, the fact that it's super-quiet is more of a pro than a con, but you should know that it's basically inaudible from more than a few feet away. Even close up, it's a very thin sound. With basically nothing to resonate, this just makes sense. I've not played through the built-in pickup, but wouldn't be shocked if this results in a decent tone. Other reviews suggest as much. As is, it's great for practicing without disturbing loved ones, just picking around on the beach or balcony without bothering anyone else, etc. The neck and frets are fine, intonation decent, overall build quality very good. My few 'not so good's are: 1) Action out of the box was a bit high, at least on the one I received. Not terrible, but still higher than I'd like. 2) The stand to hold it on the leg does not work as well as I would like. It tends to slip unless I'm more careful than I'd like, and is pretty useless for all but sitting postures, with the guitar held within a pretty narrow range of angles. I intend to mod it a bit in the future, and suspect I can fix this, but I feel like the design could be a bit more thoughtful. 3) As a consequence of #2, unless I'm sitting in a position that is effectively using the stand, I have to hold the guitar up and in position with my fretting hand. This makes it difficult to changes position, etc. Fine if I'm using it 'correctly,' but a pain if I want to be more lax. Otherwise, tuning is a bit tricky, but fine once you get used to it. I've found it difficult to use a microphonic tuner--thin, quiet sound again--but this wouldn't be an issue with a cord (via the pickup). Last word: not that it matters at all, but this guitar has excited curiosity and compliments from lots of guitarists I've encountered on my travels. It's definitely a conversation starter!

Perfect Travel Companion, (with a tweak)
First of all I love this as a travel guitar. And I'm considering adding other models to my collection, even though I don't really need them. It took me a while to decide if I wanted the Original Escape, the Pro, or the Ultra Light-Acoustic or Electric. In the end I bought the Ultra-light Acoustic. I wanted something super small so I wouldn't have some excuse not to take it with me on long overseas trips. I really liked the Pro, but I wasn't thrilled about the little wooden leg support. And unlike my ultra-light which I have the option of not using, the pro-needs the wooden leg attached to work, and it seems like it would take more time to set up. The metal leg brace on the ultra pops in a second (it looks weird but it works nicely!) And there are a few reports of the pro and the wood brace cracking as well. So I decided to stay away from it. The ultra Light has a nice ebony fretboard, the tuning is a little odd, but you quickly get used to it. Changing strings takes a little getting used to but isn't really a problem. The Guitar seems to stay in tune very well and the neck was nice and straight with no Truss adjustments needed.. There is no volume adjustment, so you need to adjust the volume from your amp. Sounds from the Pizo pickup is good, and when I went into my VOX AC-30 with a little overdrive sounded just like an electric guitar... My major issue was the the string action, admittedly I like really low string action on acoustics and ones that tend to play like electrics(I like taylor acoustics for this reason). But the action as shipped was usable at the low frets, but at the higher frets above about 12 made flat picking a chore. However I simply adjusted the saddle (basically a guitar setup procedure where you file/sand down the saddle until you get to the string height). If you know how to do this aready it is pretty easy on this guitar as the saddle is removable, if not then any guitar shop/Luthor will do it for you. Once I adjusted this, I love the feel. I have acoustic strings on it and it feels a lot like my Les Paul or my Taylors. (Note it has a 24 1/2" scale which is on the low side of what is considered a standard. Les Pauls are ~24 3/4, Strats are 25 1/2". But it is certainly normal, not short like some of the other funky travel guitars out there. To compare, I did first buy a Washburn Rover which had glowing reviews, however I thought it was a piece of junk. Very toy like and had terrible neck feel and string action. Returned it right away. However this is a very playable guitar even for an experiance guitarist like my self. Good for travel and just practicing on the couch. However be aware that with acoustic strings you aren't going to get much sound out of it without an amp (compared to a normal acoustic). I don't really care since I often play or practice my electrics not plugged in. So this probably isn't for you if you want to sit around the campfire and entertain. However I would recommend for an easy guitar to take with you anywhere. In it's case it is really small and easily carried over shoulder and can be wedged into a tight space in a bag bin on an airplane. Looks kind of like a short shotgun when in it's case..

A Real Instrument, not a toy. Shockingly small, extremely well made, amazingly playable. Get one.
Amazingly high quality overall, mine came with near-perfect intonation right through the 21st fret. It was practically still in tune when I pulled it out of the FedEx box, which says a lot about how well it will travel! The construction quality of a performance-grade instrument, the feel and playability of the neck are very similar to my Baby Taylor, which is in the same price range. The neck will never come loose because the whole thing is one piece of wood. It has an actual adjustable truss rod. The tuners work beautifully, and are inherently well-protected so they won't get whacked. This is a REAL INSTRUMENT, not a toy, and a brilliant design.

I finally wake up!
For the past decade my overseas deployments inevitably find me buying a guitar locally and then donating it to some worthy cause when I leave. Now I can take my box with me! Innovative design and great action this ultra light is a great companion to my other guitars and as a lefty I no longer have to suffer the ' we'll change the strings round for you' response in foreign countries. An added bonus was that having looked at the guitar over a 6 month period I found that when I came to buy it the price had dropped by nearly 30%. Only down side is it really needs a small amp but with the market abundant I had no trouble picking one up that fitted inside my suitcase.

Perfect for travel
This is a fantastic travel guitar. It is perfect for air travel and practicing in hotel rooms. As has been said in other reviews, a strap is a must. The leg rest doesn't keep the guitar stable by itself.

This little guitar is perfect for travel!
I am relatively new to playing guitar and looked for something i could take with me when camping or traveling so I can continue to practice. This is small and rugged so I don't have to worry about damaging my full-size acoustic. Since it does not have a hollow body, it is very quiet which is perfect for hotels or staying with family. I have a small amp to use if i want to generate full sound. The action is nice and it's generally fun to play. I would recommend this to anyone who travels and wants to keep practicing.

One of my all-time best guitar purchases
Excellent quality, clever design, and stays in tune! I rarely plug it in....unplugged sounds like your normal electric guitar unplugged. An absolute breeze to travel with....fits under seat on plane (and it's light!). The little neck loop allows me to hang it on a door...makes you want to play it every time you walk by. Saw a few YouTube reviews of it and figured why not...so glad I purchased it (on Amazon). Bought it August 2018 and play it almost every day....ideal for when you don't want to wake family late at night! Way superior than most of the travel-size guitars I have tried.

Great for carrying on Planes
Been carrying this guitar on planes since I got it. Never a problem. Excellent in the hotel room using the small amp hooked to my headset. Never had anyone complaint about my playing. Really great guitar. I would definitely buy it again. I got the acoustic, but now I'm thinking about the electric as well.

Gets the job done. One of the best guitars I've played. Xp player. Great tool
As a owner of four other guitars and someone who travels in places where a full size guitar is not always practical this thing is a great thing. Im currently deployed with the US Army and this thing just works. Taken right out of the box the guitar only needed to be slightly tuned up with no adjustment on the truss rod or action whatsoever it was literally perfect. The feel of the neck is great. This guitar plays practically just as good as my home guitar except I like my action extremely low just before buzzing occurs. So this might just be perfect for anybody else. A few key points I really like on this is this side and weight. Pictures and really do not do this thing justice. It is the perfect size. Super small, light and compact. Just what anyone traveling far or short distances would preferably need. Another key point on this and this my preference but there guitar itself is somewhat difficult to hold or get use to really. I view this as a pro because it forces you to really grip the thing and get better neck feel and feel overall for strumming and body position. In an intermediate player and this guitar will leave the excuse of not being able to play because not available history. Good for any level player. Im teaching a few guys here with me how to play on it and they've all said how they love it and are getting themselves one out here in this desert h*llhole too👍🏼 5/5 if your a serious player I would seriously consider the pro series with the two amp setup. I will more then likely be selling this one later and purchasing me that one at a better time. Good job Travel Guitar
