It was difficult to find a lap top tray that has an adjustable top and still fits while sitting in a recliner. Most we looked at were too wide at the leg base to fit in our chair. This one does fit between the arm chair cushions and allows me to read, color my adult coloring books, and/or have a snack or drink on my lap desk

This thing is amazing. It has everything. It's solid as a rock, and it held me when I cried. I now know I cannot live without this invalid tray. Every other invalid tray is a joke compared to this beast. Do not hesitate, guys, this thing will change your h*ckin life. Seriously though, if you have any doubts going by the seller photos or description, it arrives at maximum quality going off what's promised. It's not free, and it might not seem cheap, but dang is it worth it.

Sturdy and tall enough/short enough (adjustable works well -- it has little grooves for the tightening knobs so it doesn't slip) and a fair value. There's a removable ledge to keep stuff from sliding off the bottom if you have it tilted, too. The drawer might come in handy, but the jury is still out on that feature. This was the end result of a long search and I'm pleased with it.

I was in need of a lapdesk for a while now and when I saw this I thought it was perfect. Made from sturdy bamboo I was sure it would be really nice and last for a very long time. I love to draw, doodle, paint, ect, and I'm not always near my desk with an active kiddo so it had to be portable and not extremely heavy. When I opened it I took note of how well constructed it seems, the top is smooth and the legs are sturdy the little drawer slides out with ease however it's a little rough but since it's bamboo this is to be expected. There are 5 levels on the desktop to adjust to any angle you like and this really handy for painting because it's like a portable easel bring your travel pallet and paint supplies to the park or to the living room, really anyplace! I am excited about this so very much! The legs are adjustable in height and stay locked in place with a twist of the knobs. If you should want to stash things in the little drawer make sure they small like maybe your clips, tape, a tiny travel watercolor set, basically anything that's smaller than the height of a pencil. Over all I really love this desk for the purposes I need it for. I would not however leave my laptop on it for a long period of time as there are no cooling slots built in but since I bought mine for art it's perfect!

I searched and searched for a natural wood lapdesk and am so glad that I finally found this one. It's very well made, highly functional, with tiltable split top and adjustible legs. Meets my needs perfectly. I have room for my Surface Pro 3 with keyboard/cover and mini- mouse as well as my cell and a drink or book. There's also a small drawer on the side that's good for storing pens and the removable wooden stopper. Now I can work in my living room, where there's air and light, instead of in my dreary study. WooHoo!!

I bought this for my c-section recovery as I anticipated being bedridden much of the time. I love using this for propping up my book while nursing my baby, setting meals to eat in bed, and using the tilt feature for writing in my notebook and sketching. It made the weeks during recovery much easier. It is a very durable tray. I love the little drawer built into the side. I will say it's a bit on the heavier side but I like that it makes the whole thing seem more sturdy on the bed so it won't tip over. The height has adjustable settings that lock into place which is nice if you have blankets bunched up underneath or a cast or even a big ole pregnant belly!

This is a great little desk/over the lap tray/breakfast tray. It is well constructed and the bamboo quite lovely. So I have used it to ear; it is excellent for my laptop; it is fantastic for working on my adult coloring books (the adjustable tilting portion is perfect!); and I use it daily when I write in my journal. In other words, a very good buy... an extremely versatile product... and I like it very much. Just one thing: MEASURE CAREFULLY WHERE YOU PLAN TO USE THIS TRAY. My recliner/lift chair happened to be the perfect size for this tray, but my husband's regular recliner is too narrow. Because of the way the leg fold up, it could still be used as a tray, but I find the adjustable height to be a real advantage.

My husband is a manufacturing engineer so this is his review. This bed tray is designed and manufactured very well. They thought of some good details with installing small magnets to help retain the adjustable lid and pull out tray, dovetail joints, two locking devices that keep the legs out while in use, as well as the tightening screws and not having sharp corners or edges. This is solid wood (bamboo) so no cheesy plywood and has a nice finish. Things I would improve: have a little stronger magnets, ensure that the feet are more smooth as some are a little rough and catch the bedding, secure the wood block better (seems like it's just wood glue) that holds the steel wire for adjustable table angle, and increasing the dowel diameter for the removable table edge to make it a little stronger just in case you push on it too much while moving the table as it seems pretty fragile.

I'm really happy with this choice. I spent a lot of time looking for bed trays. I use it for computer work in bed or recliner, as well as drawing and eating. I use this every day and am really glad I chose this one!! I like the look of it. I like that the legs are adjustable. I like that I can work both flat and elevated. And I like that the stop bar is removable. A few issues I've had to work around: 1) the drawer slides out when picking it up. I found it hard to move it around or get up out of bed without the drawer causing problems. I thought I'd keep my phone in it, but it's been easier just to afix it and not use it. 2) When you pull the legs out and put in the little metal pieces that hold the legs, you have to gently pull the legs back in a bit for the piece to fit well into the hole. This is really important so that one leg of the tray doesn't collapse and everything you have on the tray slides off. If I was to change anything, it would be to make these clips a little more secure. 3) Though the oveall surface is excellent, I did get a splinter from one spot.

Love it! Exactly what I wanted for using in front of the TV, while I sit on the couch coloring, etc. I really like how the legs can be heightened. I like how the ledge that holds a tablet or book can be removed easily. The legs fold easily underneath. The drawer is very small and not all that practical, but it'll hold several pens/pencils, eraser and a pencil sharpener, but this doesn't really concern me. The overall quality of my desk is very good. No damage. No splits in the wood. Looks very nice for $43! Impressed and happy buyer!
