Tascam CD-RW900mkII
I purchased one of these Tascam CD recorders back in 2015 and it records & finalizes CD-Rs pretty well. Only had one "disc error" so far while recording a CD-R. This seems to be a problem with the Tascam CD recorders. I tried to purchase another unit to serve as a back up recorder in 2016. The recorder then had a big problem with "disc error" as I tried to record music onto a CD-R. I was using some high quality CD-Rs at the time, but the unit would still not complete the process by finalizing my CD-Rs. I returned 4 of the units (exchanging them one at a time), and then after the 4th one-just gave up! Here it is 2019 and I thought I would give it another try purchasing a new unit. Happy to report Tascam may have corrected the problem they were having with their CD recorders. I've recorded around 6 or 7 CD-Rs so far and have not encountered any problems! The sound quality is very good and it finalizes the discs as it should. I would like for the volume controls to boost the volume a little higher, but I have to settle with the way the unit is built. Amazon puts these units on sale now & then, and I was able to purchase my recorder for $299. It pays to "save" this unit on Amazon & just watch it on on a regular basis for a price drop. Overall, it seems to be an excellent recorder. The advantage of recording is not having to use "audio" type CD-Rs that the others need to record. The unit will use standard recordable CD-R media, but you can use the audio CD-Rs too, if you wish.

Excellent build quality
This is an excellent cd recorder. The sound is exactly like the original source. The build quality is impressive and you can enter disc and track information. The only disappointment I have is you enter the text with a clumsy selector knob and press button method. There is a PS/2 socket for a keyboard which would be much easier but the only keyboard that will work is an old obsolete version of PS/2 which is no longer available. Good luck finding a keyboard.

Worth it
I really like how it records very clear sound quality
