Heavier gauge - Maybe the best of its type.
I believe this particular product may have a higher gauge vinyl boot than others. I used it in the shower for at least six weeks after toe surgery, and the boot still looks brand new. The vinyl cover is actually shaped like a foot, rather than like a bag. I showed it to my podiatrist, and he plans to recommend it to his patients, because others he had seen would tear and this one was sturdy. Some suggestions for putting the thing on... Use two or three fingers on both hands to spread the opening in the latex top while you insert your toes, and try to keep the opening stretched while you are sliding your foot into the boot. In other words, don't stress the round hole by just using one finger on each hand or by pushing your foot through the opening. Same procedure for removing the boot. You should not have to handle the hard plastic ring for any reason other than to set the seal for water tightness. After the boot is on your foot, you use the blue ring to pull it up slightly so the latex is even all around the leg, then push it down, so that the latex against your leg flexes upward. This causes the water to run off the edges of the latex seal, rather than "pool" inside the edge of the seal. I found it helpful to dry the outside of the boot while it was still on my foot, thereby eliminating the possibility that water beading on the seal would get my bandage wet as the boot was removed. Hope all this is helpful....

Very Useful
The product is just as described. I had foot surgery and was not allowed to get my foot wet. The protector did the job of keeping water off my foot, by sealing it off. It is ever so slightly cumbersome to take off, as you have to ensure you dry it off before removing it. Otherwise, any water collected on top of it may drain onto your foot. I wear a size 10 (women's) shoe and there was enough slack in the boot for a larger foot, but not so much so that you would trip over it. Overall, it is a very useful product that I am comfortable recommending.

Works great
I received this item promptly and it works great. My husband recently had foot surgery and is not allowed to get his foot wet. This kept his foot completely dry while he showered. I was also impressed that I received an email from the seller wanting to ensure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. Yes, I am completely satisfied. .

Care in applying and removing shower boot.
Use your fingers to stretch opening hole when applying or removing shower boot. Just pulling boot off over a cast or bandages might result in tearing the sealing diaphragm. This boot is great for keeping my foot dry. I bought a second as a backup as I have torn the sealing diaphragm of a boot I bought from another company. The price from this company is cheaper.

Keeps the Foot dry
I ordered food and ankle cover after I had surgery on my foot. I had an old foot bag that had been used earlier that covered my foot but water seeped into it around the elastic opening and collected in the bottom of the bag causing the wrapping my foot to get quite wet. I knew O needed a better solution ASAP. Fortunately I found the Foot & Ankle cover by TKWC at a very reasonable price and ordered it immediately. It arrived the next day. It works perfectly and has kept my foot nice and dry in the shower. The opening in the rubber diaphragm for your foot stretches easily and creates a right deal around the leg. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs to keep their foot dry in the shower.

Kept my foot dry
I had bunion surgery and couldn’t get my bandages wet until my first checkup. Worked just as expected. Would recommend. By design it’s really hard to remove since it has to be tight to keep water out. But you don’t want to put pressure on your surgical area. So I found that it was easier to slide my hands into the seal, palms facing my foot, and push outwards on the seal with the back of my hands. This allowed me to created enough space to pull my foot out without it touching the cover. Hope this tips helps.

This worked perfect! So easy to use!
I had a wound on my foot and was not supposed to get it wet while it was healing. The nurse that was assisting me at wound care recommended that I get one of these in order to be able to shower. So easy to use, not a drop of water got in and I did not fear falling as it was not really what I would call slick. It seemed to be a good price and was well worth the money spent as it truly helped me for about 2 months while my foot healed!

sturdy and easy to use
I bought this for my spouse who had foot surgery. Do-it-yourself options are cheaper, but this cast cover is worth the money (and reasonably priced). The plastic covering is heavy duty. The gasket easily fits over my spouse's heavily-bandaged foot (he wears a size 11 shoe) and he can put it on himself without causing any additional pain to his foot. Absolutely no leaking--his foot and bandage are complete dry, even after a long shower. We looked at several other cast covers, but this one seemed like the best value as well as the best quality.

Saved the Day!
After surgery, I struggled to keep my foot dry in my spa-type tub. Getting in was hard enough, but getting out was an acrobatic feat! Then I tried taping a plastic bag around my leg, but ended up with a soggy mess, even though I had double bagged my foot and used strong tape. Ick. As a last (should've been first) resort, I checked Amazon and found this boot. I've used it 5 times now and it hasn't leaked yet. A truly wonderful product that saved the day. If you purchase one, make sure you dry it off completely before putting it away.

A must buy to keep dry!
While saying this product saved my life is dramatic it certainly helped me keep my sanity. My husband has an infection in his foot and a picc line in his arm and neither can get wet. After nights of wrapping with plastic wrap, grocery bags and garbage bags, praying for things to stay dry, I found this product in a desperate search for something easier and I bought the arm and foot protectors. The seal is snug and his foot and arm stay completely dry. I can put the foot piece on him alone but he helps with the arm piece as to not disturb his picc line. I read a few of the low ratings but tried this product anyhow because I was desperate. I could not be more pleased. These go on in seconds compared to all the time it took to wrap and unwrap with household products. If you need to keep a foot or arm dry, try these products, you will NOT be disappointed!! We have only used these for 5 showers since we just got them 5 days ago but they are already well worth the the money spent.
