Rough start but got it working.

Had a bit of a rough start getting the cam to work properly with my freshly updated Windows 10 machine. However, I did get it working and it's going to do exactly what I need it to do. 1) plug cam in and wait for the windows drivers to load up. 2) Open up the 'camera' app and noticed a really wicked flicker that didn't get better with any settings. 3) download and install the Logitech software that controls the pan and zoom and stuff. 4) Notice no picture at all comes out of the cam anymore. 5) reboot and fiddle with crap that did nothing. Undo the crap and reboot, still in condition above. 6) uninstall the device from 'device manager' 7) reboot 8) plug camera in again and wait for several minutes while Windows figures out what to do. 9) open camera software, everything is perfect. 10) open logitech software, everything is perfect. 11) play with settings, do a test video, everything is perfect. Also, put the camera on a short tripod and point it straight down to see how it does taking pix of a phone for demos. The auto-focus is focusing in the wrong spot, but when I adjust the manual focus I can get a great picture with the camera about 8 inches off the desktop. So, I would take off points for not being 'plug and play' exactly, but I was able to get it to work without much fuss. And it's going to be a great camera for my purposes (online testing) and my daughter's (Youtubing).

Great Upgrade For Streamers

Top notch webcam, full 1080p and crystal clear! I'm a streamer and this is a definite upgrade from a previous 720p webcam. If you are a streamer looking for an upgrade get this cam :) UPDATE(11/13/2017): Webcam still going strong. Super clear hasn't given any trouble. BUY IT!!!!

This Camera is what i expected and whats even better was i got it on sale for $50. I was gonna buy it for the normal price aanyways but the fact that it was on sale when i bought it is even better. I use it for making videos for my public presentations class and also for streaming on TWitch.tv.... It has excellent quality and i like the wide view it gives. If you are not into the wide angle cameras then this may not be for you but im sure there is some way you could adjust it. Im not sure though on that. Pros: Not too much cost wise compared to most cameras. Wide View and Clear View Looks nice on top of my monitor. It is also able to be put on a stand. Cons: Nothing really that i have any problems with. BUY IT!!!! I included a picture of my ugly mug just to show you what a picture on this camera looks like. Also this is low lighting and it looks like i have quite a bit of lights on which is nice!(Excuse the messiness)

5 Stars, but with an asterisk for us not-very-tech-savvy Mac users

Okay. First, this webcam does all that they say it does. Buy it! That being said, however, if you're a not-very-techie 70-something like I am, you might discover that it doesn't work when you first plug it into your Mac. And then, when you go to the Logitech website, you find downloads for Windows software to run the thing, but nothing for Mac. And then when you read the product literature, you find that it does actually sort of say that it'll work with a Mac, but when you call the Logitech number for Support, you speak with some guy in God-knows-where who tells you that, sadly, the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 isn't wired to work with a Mac, so, sorry to say, you shouldn't have bought this one. So then you're faced with returning the camera to Amazon and resuming the search for a suitable webcam. Until, that is, you discover the YouTube video by the guy who says that you actually need only to go to the app for which you bought the webcam in the first place -- Skype, in my case -- go to Preferences, click on Audio/Video, and select the HD Pro C920, which will appear in the drop-down menu. I tried it and, sure enough, it works. Good thing I stuck with it for a few days and didn't immediately ship the webcam back. NOW the furshlugginer thing is worth 5 Stars.

Works great with Windows Anniversary Update for Windows 10

I just bought this camera as there was none on my new desktop. It sounded good, but after I had ordered it I read further into the reviews and discovered that some people who had downloaded the Anniversary Update to Windows 10 had trouble making this webcam work. I had just downloaded the Anniversary Update. It was too late to cancel the order. I am glad I did not cancel it. The camera works great with the Anniversary Update as far as I can tell, though I have only had it a few days.You have to set your camera settings and privacy settijngs correctly, however. I hope this helps someone else decide to buy it. Here is a picture of my cat I took with it.

Love it. I'm new to building a YouTube channel, and this is my upgrade from the built-in webcam on my HP laptop. The resolution is great. Works right out of the box. Love the clarity, auto white balance and focus work supremely well. I'm very happy with this purchase, and definitely recommend it. I'm not a techie...I can hold my own, but I love products like this that run themselves for you.
