Although we live in SoCal in San Diego, it's currently in the 30s at night/early morning and we put our dog out when we go to work. Due to this I got her a heated dog pad/bed but it takes 30 mins to warm up and I didn't want it on all day so I needed help. I ordered this and am completely satisfied with how it's working out. I plugged in the dog bed to one and out Christmas lights to the other. Named them accordingly. A little annoying to have to have yet ANOTHER smart app to then link to Alexa but that's alright. Downloading the app and adding the device went smoothly. It's just like pairing another else. Hold down the button until it blinks faster than usual and then your app will discover the device. Works great with Alexa. We have Christmas lights on this plug and another plug in our shed. Both named "Christmas Lights". I tell Alexa and turn on the Christmas lights and everything works fine. Same thing when I tell her Dog Bed. I have an echo dot at my desk at work so now I can turn it all on and off from anywhere!

Overall I definitely like this plug due to the double outlets and the consistency of it. I currently have it hooked up to my LED strip I bought not too long ago and it works very well. It also allows for timers to be set if you wanted to use it for outdoor lamps, water fountains, etc. Connecting to Google was easy, connecting to the outlet the first time took some patience but I forced AP mode and it worked first try. Pros: Dual Outlet - Individually Programmable & Timers for each - Alexa OR Google - App support - Waterproof/Resistant - Great Range, I maxed it at about ~90' from the router Cons: The LED is a little bright but definitely great for status indication - A little hard to pair at first but haven't had a single disconnect problem - While waterproof, if using both plugs, the rubber plug is disconnected - Slightly bulky

This Teckin WiFi enabled Power Outdoor Power Plug is an AWESOME DEAL! It is fast and easy to install configure with all sorts of automated scheduling options in the iPhone/Google Apps. Works great with Alexa and IFTTT. I am very impressed with this product.

This is a very robust unit, especially for the price. As pictured, the unit has a short heavy duty cord that plugs into your wall outlet, allowing for optimum placement of the receptacle to receive a WiFi signal. There are 2 outlets on this receptacle, and if you configure it in the app as a multi-outlet, you can control each outlet independently of each other. Very easy and intuitive to set up for control via a smartphone; I have not tested with Alexa or Google Home but I am confident it would be equally as easy. As this is an outdoor receptacle, WiFi signal strength/coverage is something to keep in mind. The receptacle itself does not require a very strong signal to function; using a smartphone to gauge signal strength, I was able to operate it all the way down to 1 "bar" of WiFi signal; it easily connected to my garden shed 100 feet from the house, but my router is on the top floor of the house. The bottom line is the limiting factor on range outside is going to be your router/access point's capabilities and its location. If you can get even a weak signal to the receptacle, it'll work. On that note, it will help to keep the unit up off of the ground a bit in order to aid with receiving the signal. One last note: For those that are wondering, this unit can be controlled even when the controlling device (e.g. smartphone) is not connected to the same WiFi network. For example, I can be 20 miles away in town on the cellular network with my phone and turn the outlets on/off via the app. The app also has timer and countdown features, which is helpful if you want a hands off approach. These units are beefy, cost effective, and do the job they were made to do, and that's all I can ask for.

I purchased this device to control two neon lights in my garage. The device is priced competitively for a well-constructed, weather-resistant 2-socket outdoor outlet. It arrived promptly, and was packaged in a nice retail box. The instructions are clear. I am using Smart Life linked to Google Assistant via IFTTT. Setup for Smart Life and IFTTT was simple. It did take Google Assistant a couple of tries to understand my IFTTT applet (this had nothing to do with the smart outlet). The device now works perfectly, with voice control. I now own several Teckin smart devices, and I'm quite pleased with all of them.

I have used several smart devices throughout my home, including a number from "major" brands (GE, Philips, etc). This works just as well as any of the others I have tried for a fraction of the price. I am currently using the outlet to control a fountain in our yard. It took me all of 15 minutes to integrate the outlet with Smartthings (via IFTTT) and have it working from rules within smart things. The native application was easy enough to use for setup, but I can't speak to its more advanced features as I primarily control devices through Smart things.

Buy this dual outlet Alexa enabled outlet. I bought this to operate my patio string lights as the outlet is also powering the porch light. When we want to set the mood for evening lights for get together's, Alexa and this dual outlet gets the job done. Right now I am only using one of the outlets and have the second one covered with the attached plug cover. The distance from my WiFi is about 100 feet and this thing turns on as quick as if using the wall switch. The app is very handy and easy to use.

I have two of these outlets. One stopped working a few weeks after I received it. I emailed support to ask about their warranty process (support.us@teckin.co) and was delighted to see how simple it was. Within 2 days I had a new switch in my hands and was back up and running. The setup and app can be hit or miss, but work perfectly when finally connected. WiFi on switch is better than Belkin WeMo smart outlets and work well outside. Romy from Teckin's support department was great at resolving my issue and I highly recommend this smart outlet. He followed up a few days after my new switch arrived to ensure everything was working well. Great service and not something I usually get when purchasing from unknown companies.

I owned Teckin smartplugs for indoor use for some time and found them to be excellent. I like the Smart Life app and love how it quickly registers the devices. Alexa immediately recognizes them after registration too. When they came up with the smartplug for outdoor use and asked me to test it, I was happy to do so. While it is too early for me to assess how durable this smartplug will be after being exposed to various different weather conditions, so far, it works great. It feels like it is very well built. I use Alexa and SmartLife to control both plugs and that is what I needed from it. Overall this is a good outdoor smartplug and price is good too.

I hesitantly ordered this outdoor plug with the intent to install a homebridge plugin to control the device through homekit. When browsing online it seemed as if people had varied success in their attempts. While it was a little more work than a normal homebridge plugin, I was able to connect this plug to homekit using the homebridge-tuya plugin. Be aware of that if you're buying this plug for homebridge purposes. If you have no intent to link this to homebridge everythign works perfectly out of the box and I had zero issues connecting it to the Teckin app. The outlet shows up as two separate devices with individual controls, which is a great feature.
