I love that I can now control the TV volume on the Roku remote. The ultra streams much better than the older versions.

This version is SO much better than the past version

I bought the as a Christmas give and then decided to get one for me as well. I just went through the set-up process and, not only is it easy, but it is so much faster than my old ROKU device. This is one of my better purchases and I will think of purchasing a couple more for my other TV's.

Ethernet connectivity fixed streaming issues.

I bought the ROKU ultra as it was able to use a hardwired connection. I was experiencing some frustration watching Netflix via a firestick (sound would intermittently drop out on Netflix). The ROKU installed very easily and has a very user friendly remote and I was able to simplify my remote count to 1. Picture quality is excellent and it has plenty of bells and whistles that I am still finding. Getting something that can be hardwired is not as easy a task as it used to be so I am very pleased with this product. UPDATE: It has been a few weeks now and the ROKU has proved its worth. It is simple, quick and has not had any issues with playback. Picture is crisp and I would recommend the Ultra as it has proved to be a worthwhile purchase. On a side note my wife was not a fan of having to use multiple remotes in the past and she has found using the ROKU very easy as we are down to one remote and like a good piece of tech it is simple and very user friendly.

Simply Amazing!!! It replaced my Roku 4, which was good, but the Ultra is GREAT.

Well worth it for the total upgrade.

Love that it can stream TV and all so much faster. The Roku remote operates everything eliminates the TV remote.

I am very pleased with this product

Very easy set up. I have several of these units. I use the ROKU with smart tv's too. I would prefer if the remote had a mute feature and log in user id and password entry a little easier but the voice search feature makes up for this omissions.

Ethernet port in this one!

I got this one specifically for the Ethernet port connection. I wanted a Roku player in my basement, but my Wifi doesn't reach very well. I do love the headphone jack in the remote- it was a nice bonus. I can stream all my shows for very cheap or even free. Never going back to cable!

Great Product

I dropped my cable service and went to streaming, which saved me a lot of money. The Roku works so much better than I had hoped for. I have had a 4K tv for over a year, and my cable company didn’t broadcast in that so my picture was just fair. When we hooked up the Roku, I was amazed at the picture on the tv. The quality of the picture is fantastic. I am still learning to use all the features of the Roku, but most of them are easy to figure out without reading how to do it. Wish I had gone to streaming and the Roku a long time ago.

Outstanding Product!

I love this Roku! I'm getting rid of cable and using Hulu and decided to get a new Roku to replace the one I bought several years ago. I'm still amazed by it - it was so easy to install. I'm learning more and more about it every day. I was able to change the font, size and color (aqua) of the closed-captioning! The opening screen is a moving, underwater scene with all kinds of fish and not that annoying 4 letters of Roku dancing around. I can control EVERYTHING - turn on/off, sound, all functions with one remote, and I love that! I haven't figured out how to use the "find lost remote" feature yet. There are also headphones with this Roku, and the batteries were included. Using this Roku has made the Hulu experience much easier and fun. I was on a free trial for Hulu and wasn't sure I was going to keep it because of numerous glitches with the old Roku; with this one, everything runs smoothly and has made me love the Hulu. The only problem I had was I didn't realize I had to have HDMI cable so had to wait 2 days until that arrived to install it but that's probably on me since I'm technology-challenged, lol! Footnote: To find the remote, you press a button on the base and the remote will beep until you pick it up!

Installs easily

The Roku ultra installed easily. The remote paired promptly and works well (be nice to have a mute button). It also handles the tv functions pretty well. I haven’t used the voice recognition and probably won’t. Adding channels has been easy so far. The unit is fast and navigation is pretty intuitive. Very impressive so far.
