Easy to install, works great!

I purchased this as a Father’s Day gift and my father in law loved it for his kegerator. Very easy to install and use. Had an issue where it stopped syncing with the app, but we determined that the issue was related to the iPad running the app and not the Kegtron itself. If I could have one additional thing, it would be nice to be able to select an image to display on the app in addition to the beer name, as we are running this on an iPad affixed to the bar tap to enhance the self-pour experience. Five stars.

The only reasonable way to keep track of your kegs

I bought one of these (2 ports) through a Kickstarter campaign and it was the impetus to finally put together a keezer/kegerator for my home brewing. I only had one keg of irish red ale on tap at the time, but it was not just useful to see how much beer was flowing and left, but also fun with the colorful gauge displaying on my phone screen. Then, good fortune struck and I had a couple more kegs of beer basically fall in my lap. Meanwhile, I had another batch of homebrew pale ale fermenting. So, I had one un-metered keg already and another coming - that's when I bought my second Kegtron with 2 ports, bringing me up to 4 ports total. Just racked the pale ale into a Corny-keg, so that will soon be flowing through the new Kegtron. Its nice to know how much I have left so I can plan my next brewing session. I'm going to try a milk-stout next. Oh, more about the Kegtron... It has already improved since I got it with software App updates. It has some good adjustments that allow you to set your starting volume of each keg as you hook it up; you can calibrate it if you happen to find it is off (offset); you can set your normal pouring size so that it tells you how many pours you have remaining - pints, 12oz bottles, liters :-)? Setup and installation was pretty straight forward. Physically, you just cut your existing, balanced tap lines close to the tap and stick the Kegtron in the middle - done. Then you do a standard BlueTooth pairing to the device (you DO have to get power to the device which is probably inside your kegerator). Then you setup the volume of the keg - done. Pour, watch drink. Easy-peasy. You'll be slicker than most pubs who seem surprised when their kegs run out and make you wait for your drink.

Wanted to update my review after having installed and used this wonderful device for a few weeks. This thing is REALLY COOL. No more wondering how much beer is left in the kegs! I was having some issues with foam and balancing the pressure in my system - but this company worked tireless with me to work through and address all the problems. If you are having issues with foam, make sure to consult their Foam Sucks information. Update: VERY IMPRESSIVE. This monitor accurately measured the 1/6 BBL keg consumption down to the last pint. VERY IMPRESSIVE! Still would like to see some product enhancements: - The nipples to connect the hoses are too close together, making the attaching of clamps difficult. On the dual tap unit, impossible to attach screw down clamp on one of the nipples (and it now appears they are sending out a different type of clamp - which aren't really needed if you are using more rigid supply lines) - It would be cool to include temperature sensors on each line which would be reported out in the app. - In the app, it would be nice to see the volume left/start/served in (ounces) - There is no authentication built into the app. Anyone with the app can walk up to your kegerator and see, or more importantly CHANGE the setup without authorization

The best beer product you didn't know you needed!

Who knew how cool it would be to be able to track your keg levels on your smartphone? I pre-ordered the Kegtron single keg system when it showed up on Kickstarter. I went for the single tap model since my mini-fridge won't hold two kegs. If I had more space I would have gone with the double as a future-proof installation. When it finally shipped, I had everything up and running in about 15 minutes. The hardest part was figuring out how to run power to the Kegtron that will be permanently installed inside my keg fridge. I ran the power wire through the door on the hinge side of my mini-fridge and the rubber seal hasn't complained yet. Installation and setup was super easy (everything needed was included in the box) and the app was intuitive. I couldn't be happier! Now before my friends come over for Monday Night Football, I can check the keg status and be sure we won't run out (or at least have a fighting chance).

Great Customer Service and Product

I received these and when preparing to install, I realized that my beer system had never been balanced in the whole time that I had owned it. I worked with Steve at kegtron and we exchanged many emails helping to troubleshoot my balance issues. I finally have it balanced and was able to install my kegtrons this past weekend and they're really nice! They've created no foam issues for me and appear to be very accurate with amount poured. Great product!
