Working well

I previously had another brand and it was horrible. I returned it due to false alarms and it malfunctioning. The HTZsafe driveway alarm seems to be working great. Ive had it up for about a week now and not one false alarm. It went off in the middle of the night once to alert me of a cyote on my property. I received the package with no charging cord and the company quickly provided that to me along with an extra receiver at no charge. My sensor is about 125 feet from the base so i cant really comment on long distances. So far, so good and id say id reccomend this item. 3 month update: The sensor stopped working and would not charge. I contacted the company and they provided another sensor to me within 2 days. Great customer service and I still love the product. Highly recommend. Buy it. No regrets.

Another Awesome Unit

Previously owned the 1/2 mile unit from this company. I don't need that range and had the opportunity to buy this. So holy crap - the size difference is awesome (see photos) yet it still provides all the bells and whistle in a cleaner package. The receiver unit is clean and compact and the alarm light is bigger and brighter and there is no power cords (built in). The transmitter has the solar panel built into the case for a cleaner installation and a more pleasant appearance. The pricing difference is significant - save $40 if you don't need the extra 1/4 mile. Bottom line - a great product and great customer out reach.

Solar Power

This unit is just what we were looking for. I just recently starting using solar lights (from QVC) as they are much improved over the solar lights of a couple of years ago that did not hold a good charge. With their much stronger batteries currently installed, a charge will last 6/8 hours. The directions are very good. Set this up as directed. Pair the units and test which is simple. Ours worked immediately after set-up. I mounted the base unit about 24" high to cover our two walkways to the house. It does not need to be higher unless you are covering a much larger area, such as a driveway. I adjusted the location, which is simple as it is a ball and socket. We tested it once, made an adjustment and it's excellent. The chime unit was placed in our family room which, like many, is the center of activity. It is a double tone which alerts you as soon as something passes by the detector.IMO it is loud enough to be heard throughout the house. Good value also.

Very Pleased With This Driveway Alert!

I live in an area with a lot of wildlife so i was not sure what to expect. I am very pleased with how well it works. I have had 0 false alarms including on a very windy day. However I have been notified every time a vehicle or person has come on my driveway. Awesome to know BEFORE someone comes to my door that they are coming. I would reccomend this product without hesitation. It was very easy to set up even for someone like myself that has limited technical ability.

Nice Driveway Alarm, Works well

This review is for Htzsafe Solar Driveway Alarm System-1/4 Mile Long. I have attached some pictures for Size reference. The unit is placed next to a standard size mouse. I have also attached pictures of the unit mounted on my front Steps, and on a Tree next to my driveway. Also a picture for distance from my house where the sensor stopped working, and picture of how the sensor attaches (ball and socket ). So far, I have not encountered any problems with this sensor / alarm unit. It mounts easily with 4 screws. One caution, The screws are a bit soft so the Phillips head can strip out. I actually emailed HTzsafe about it, and they said, they were going to send better screws with the sensors to avoid that problem. When setting the sensor on the tree, I used a large exersize ball to roll through the detection zone, this worked very well, and now I avoid any critters wandering through in the night. (cats, Possums, small dogs .. you get the idea) at first i had it set to low, and was woken up several times. I tested it on my steps and found that even though the area is constantly in the shade, and also with overcast rainy days, the power was always there to ring the alarm. If your wondering about the distance it can be placed from the receiver, the picture I have attached of the road, you can not even see my house, it is actually around a curve that you can not even see. I measured the distance with a phone app, and it measured out at .23 miles .. almost the advertised 1/4 .. but it had to fight through trees and through that curve .. many obstacles in the way. I would recommend this alarm. The one thing to avoid is placing the unit so it will see past the movement you want to catch. I had to angle the sensor upwards on the steps so it would only catch movement on the steps, and not in the yard on far side of the steps. The receiver also has many tunes that it can play .. but it has a few basic ones in case you don't want a musical alarm.

Works Great, plus has a full 2 year warranty

This is simply a SUPER GREAT driveway alarm, simple to setup and install, and has a full 2 year warranty. The 4 mounting screws that are included are very poor quality though, but they are easy to replace locally (recommended) before trying to install, with USA made ones which will make installation much easier. We have a very long driveway and the wood fence post we mounted the sending unit on was 40 feet away from the driveway; works beautifully! The alarm receiver in the house is a long distance away from the sending unit and still receives the signal easily. Being able to set the receiver for loudness is nice too. The price for an alarm of this quality is not bad, and for a few dollars more you can add an extended 4 year warranty which makes it a real bargain. The sending unit is small so is not all that noticeable. We just feel that this driveway alarm is currently the best one available. Not needing any batteries like most others must have is really appreciated, and money and time saving too.

Great Addition to the Product Line!!

I have used HTZSAFE's Solar Alarm System with the 2 solar panels and the infrared beam for over a year and have been very satisfied (See my recent review). My issue was that this system covered a straight line between the 2 sensors and it did a fine job but it did not have the ability to cover the peripheral areas. So I decided to try this new addition to the HTZSAFE line. I liked that only one unit was required (as opposed to separate transmitter and receiver) and that the beam did have a wider angle covering some of the peripheral area. I decided to install the unit above my front door and so far it is working great. I know if anything crosses my driveway with the first unit and now I know if anyone approaches my front door since my doorbell is not very reliable. Additionally, although I have not done this yet, I know that this new unit can be added to the old chime receiver to avoid having 2 separate receivers set up inside the house. Great Feature!! I am quite pleased with this new unit.

What a great little system!

Charged it in the sun for 3 days before setting it up. My driveway is 450 feet long and I fastened to a tree halfway down hill to the end. Very dependable, no false alarms!!! I recently spent an hour plowing a foot of snow off the driveway, and drove my wife a little crazy by setting it off so many times, until she unplugged it :) She loves all the different melodies it can play. I like the solar charging aspect. I would highly recommend this sensor!

Works perfectly

I purchased this after buying a cheaper version that never worked (different manufacturer). I followed the set up directions, and it worked perfectly. It has been installed for about 10 days and we have had zero false alarms. One great feature is that it you can adjust the angle of the sensor. We have livestock on the other side of our driveway, and we were able to angle the sensor so that it catches the driveway, but the livestock do not set it off. I really like that the receiver plugs into an outlet, and therefore no need for batteries on the sensor or receiver. I also appreciate the choice of sounds, and the option of 4 different sound levels. Definitely recommend.

Great Choice

This is a very professional product and looks like it is built with high quality. Set up was easy. Had some false alarms from bunnies and cats so tilted the unit up and eliminated that. Would just like to know how to buy additional receivers to have upstairs and downstairs alerts.
