My wife recently asked me if I want to buy a new bag, which triggers me to think about this bag that I have owned three years, carried every single day and traveled with for so many trips. This is hands down the best bag I ever owned. It is still tough as ever, and looks shinny as ever. What is funny is I used to concern about the cheap price of the bag and its quality being not as good. But once a while you do find a good deal.

Very well built. I've been using this bag for about a month now. My impression at this point is this bag is made of quality leather and put together with an eye for detail. I imagine this will still be a viable bag in ten years. Contents are easily accessed from the top. Can easily fit and logically arrange a couple hundred papers and a laptop in the center portion and simultaneously have a couple hundred more in the outside pocket (I teach full time by day and adjunct at night, that's a lot of papers). Convenient inside pockets for accessories. I've read other reviews complaining that the bag doesn't stand up. This is true, but it leans quite nicely. Would buy again.

I bought this brief case for a new 15 inch laptop. I was quite impressed . It has a distress leather look. Which gives a rich quality. It has about 1/2 inch clearance on each side. The MSRP stated $285.00 I was shocked...I suppose it came from a European leather shop. I told my friends that it was a good bargain.

Excellent. Well rounded, classy and versatile bag for a businessman. I run a debit for an insurance company and it will work great for my needs. **update 6 months later still holding up strong under consistent heavy weight! Durable under all weather conditions!

I bought this for my husband as a gift and he loves it. Its just the right size for every day use seeing clients and carrying files and the tablet yet would also be great for longer business travel. The durability I cannot speak to as of yet but it appears to be very well made.

I have a general rule of not reviewing products until I have had about 6 months or so to try them out. I get tired of reading reviews from people who use something once and give it 5 stars. To me, it is really important to try something out for awhile and see how the product holds up. I have had this back for about 18 months, and probably used it on 30 business trips in Europe. What I like most about the bag is that the leather quality makes it look like a quality bag, so I feel comfortable taking to business meetings wearing a suit.. It also stands upright by itself which is important to me, since I am constantly bringing it to meetings and setting it on the floor near my seat at conference tables and the like. I have used messenger-type bags in the past, and they tend to flop over, which is annoying. Another benefit to this bag over messenger types is that the handle design (because there are two, rather than one), evenly distributes the weight, even if the bag is unzipped on top. I have a messenger type where the handle is on the top, and you cannot effectively pick up the back unless the top is latched--super annoying--and the weight does not feel distributed. This is important if you carry a laptop. The bag has four separate compartments, which I rather like. The main interior compartment has 3 well-designed slots which I use for my passport, phone, and portable charger. I like that the compartments are in the middle, because it is a little harder for an opportunistic thief to access, and separates my things well. My only criticism of the bag is that one of the zippers can be a little sticky, but that is a minor nuisance, so I still give it 5 stars. Another nice feature is that the bag completely fits under the seat in front of me on all airlines even when stiffed full, so I can just stow it there. I almost never fight for cargo space up top with carry-ons with this bag. One thing I wish the bag had is a back strap that allowed the bag to easily secure to a rolling carry-on handle. But, because the handles on top of the bag are of sufficient height, I can usually just set the Alpine Swiss bag on top of the rolling carry-on when I need to travel with both, and hold both the telescopic handle of the carry-on and leather bag with one hand. One additional recommendation. I have found that smooth leather like this holds up best if you put a leather conditioner on it, at least once. I put rubbed a neutral leather conditioner on the bag after about six months (just one time since I bought it), and the leather looks even better than when I purchased it. This type of glossy leather would probably crack over time if you don't condition it (like most leather, really). I also think that the abuse a frequent traveler gives this bag would probably fray the edges. But overall, I consider this a great value for the money. Unless you just have to have a name brand, this is the way to go for a business traveler.

Showing up with this case tells clients you are a computer professional they can trust. But even more important to me is that my big laptop and all the accessories, a five-fan cooling platform, a drawing pad, and all my business papers fit comfortably inside this great looking, well constructed case.

FITS:.. Laptops less than 15.5" x 10.5" x 1.25" + all their accessories. Make sure you measure your laptop (include USB devices in measurement) PROS: Lightweight, leather, stylish, thin, plenty of zippered storage areas. Good design for handles. Great looking bag! Definitely worth the $70 I paid. CONS:. You can't have it both ways. The lighter more stylish the bag, the lower the protection. This bag doesn't have a hard frame that would protect a pc from a hard fall like my "inland" canvas bag had.. but it is several lbs lighter and a couple of inches thinner. OVERALL:.. great bag. Highly recommended. My two fears are (1) dropping it on a top corner of the bag and damaging my laptop screen and (2) protecting the leather. Really.. this is a great looking bag. I'd hate to scratch the leather under an airplane seat.

Let me start off by saying I got this for free since the delivery was terrible on the USPS part. Amazon killing it with that amazing customer service as always. Even though that will not influence my review. I receive it with a couple imperfections but regardless it definitely is a genuine leather case. That alone more than warrants the price tag. It’s great for what it is. It’s a nice briefcase for the price and would definitely recommend. It has a lot of compartments and is just about the right size for most people. Regardless of what you have to put into it. Simply put if you just need a briefcase that looks good and gets the job done then this is it. Plus you get the added bonus of it being real leather. Who doesn’t love leather?

I love this thing. It's good looking, well made, and capacious. I use it to carry my beefy 15.6" laptop. In the rear half I put the power adapter, a full size mouse, a Samsung external SSD, and my Intuous Pro graphics tablet. That leaves room in the front two pockets for two phones, an iPod, my wallet, and a bunch of other miscellaneous stuff-- and there's room for more. In the back, open pocket I temporarily carry items in need to be at hand immediately, like boarding passes, tickets or directions. I use it all day, every day, and so far it has held up well and looks great. I wish I had bought this one first instead of buying other, cheaper ones first that didn't satisfy. I could have saved some money.
