I grabbed this to see how it would work and potentially save my sister some money. She works for a non-profit helping children and is paid about as terribly as one would expect. We've got a truly unlimited data plan for our phones so I was curious to see if this would be adequate to let her eliminate her internet bill...and it is!

This is cool as can watch big screen effect from my iPad using the DJI goggles normally used for the Mavic Pro. Clarity is as good as your viewing device as true HDMI. Coming out of an iPad (full size or mini) is supported.

A Must Have!! Will play everything on a tv!!!

I was concerned about all the one star reviews but gave it a shot anyway. I am glad this adapter works without any issues with my iPad 3 and iPhone 6 Plus. Sound from the TV is loud and clear and there is nothing to complain about for the picture quality.If I am playing any video clips from the "TV" app, it does fill up the entire screen. The lightning connector has a very snug fit. Now only time will tell how long this adapter will last. But so far this is a 5 star rating.

Great for connecting iphone/ipad to Hotel TV's to stream Netflix/Hulu

I got this adapter as I travel quite a bit for business. I have Netflix and Hulu Live TV at home and so I like to watch my regular shows and DVR when on the road. Hooked this up to my ipad/iphone and connect HDMI to the TV and have my own personal entertainment system. It can also charge your device while watching. I did notice that this works better with my iphone than my ipad but this could be my device. Seems like the ipad takes a bit more time and fidgeting to get it to work.

Works great so far

so easy to use I just plus my iPhone 6+ into the TV with the HDMI cable and I'm instantly able to share my pictures and videos from my phone.

Worked well, but took some tweaking.

As usual with technology, it's usually not as easy it sounds in the instructions. I don't know if it was my iPad or the smart board I was connecting to, but it took some tweaking. I was able to figure it out, but it was a little frustrating. I had no problem with the actual AV adapter, the instructions were a little skimpy. However, I don't think anything can be done about that because of the multitude of different media out there.

Plug and play. Shows phone on TV perfectly

We've been trying to use our phones with unlimited data to watch Youtube, etc. on our TV. Tried using the phones as hot spots but streaming kept getting stuck and even worse, phone was getting hot, literally. Got this and everything works perfect. Just plug in phone and change tv to input this thing is plugged into (HDMI) and your set. No settings to change on phone. Just plug it in and Wala! It really is that simple. Picture quality is great. Using iPhone 7.

This equipment is perfect at present, there will be some hot in the process of using, but it is acceptable. The seller has patience to explain that this is a good product.
