I read labels on dry cat food at the store. The most prominent were grains. Cats are carnivores and don't need carbs (grains and by products.) The problem Kitty had was she wasn't getting the right nutrients. She was overeating trying to get those nutrients.. Taste of the Wild has no grain in any form. Look at the first 3 ingredients on the label of the dry cat food you are feeding now. My cat is eating about 1/2 of what she was eating before. She is happy and has higher energy with Taste of the Wild. Get your cat purified drinking water with calcium and magnesium added for taste. They can tell the difference. Do this for your cat.

Since changing my dogs food to better quality I wanted to buy something for my little meow meow too. I was a little leery of buying this reading some of the negative reviews but ultimately did because of how many positive reviews. I made sure to buy the green bag and also purchased some Whiskas "Real Chicken with broth" so she had plenty of watery food as well. Apparently, I didn't need it because I had not really ever paid attention to how much water my cat drinks anyway. Its been a few months now and I felt it was time to review this product. Lilly (my cat) really took to the food fast. I mixed half of her old food with half this one so she could transition out of the old. Amazingly, she is not so lethargic. She runs around this house like a maniac with the dogs and her coat has gone from a pretty brown to a gorgeous shimmering black/brown. The coat was the realization for me. She has always had a beautiful coat but now its so thick and healthy. I will have to buy a hairball remedy to replace her "hairball remedy" food I had been feeding her. Not an issue since seeing the difference in her would be worth far more than any hairball oil cost. She has also lost some weight which I'm chalking up to the running around and not so much the leanness of the food. Now don't get me wrong she still sleeps for 18 hours a day (lucky) but the time she is awake she is not just waddling or laying around. She keeps playing with the dogs tennis ball too. Not sure what that's all about. I also didn't have the cat box issues some owners spoke of in the reviews but that could be because I have a covered box with filters and I use Arm & Hammer heavy duty mixed with A&H essentials. I don't think I will feed my girl anything else from now on. I will recommend this to other cat owners along with plenty of water and maybe the occasional soft food in broth.

I have a 6yo Silver Peke-face Persian who is extremely finicky about her food. After searching high and low we were advised to try Taste of the Wild. Given My cat’s history with food I was hesitant to order a 5lb bag and worry about her not liking it so I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me 2 sample bags via priority mail free of charge. My cat fell in love with this food, I have never seen her eat so voraciously, she will come to me when her bowl is low on kibble. The kibble is small enough for a peke-face to eat without any difficulty. I recommend this to everyone who asks for a cat food suggestion, it’s well worth the cost. I warn you, we changed from Purina One to Taste of the Wild and there was about a 1 week period of time when the stool was a little loose, once her stomach adjusted to the grain free food stools returned to normal.

My cat's been on this kibble for some while. She likes it very much, and is doing well on it. She's turning 17 this year and remains quite fit. I decided to buy from Amazon for the free delivery (harder for me to handle lugging a #15 bag now) and price was right. I'd go to subscription, but she doesn't eat it fast enough. Maybe my next cat will. I'd stay w/ this brand. It's one of the best I've found, pou THE best. I've recommended it to others and would recommend subscription to buyer who's feeding larger cat or multiple cats.

In 2013, I was blessed with an undersized bundle of kitten, flea-ridden, rescued by a fellow tribeswoman of Panther Clan. After he was washed, recovered and started on milk, he began to rebuild his size. A trip to the vet revealed he was 1/4 bobcat. He was so small, I could hold him in one hand, and he was five weeks old at rescue. Today, he is full grown, 18 pounds of muscle, strong, leaping through the house, sweet and gentle. He has gorgeous medium length hair that is like silk to the touch. Taste of The Wild was his main recovery food after he was weaned off kitten food. From a cat without a chance, mother most likely killed before he was properly weaned, Jonesy is a strong, healthy cat.

Switched to this from Blue Buffalo. I had been feeding my cats Blue Buffalo indoor until ~June 2018 when suddenly both cats refused to eat the Blue Buffalo. I started buying this and the cats seem happy with it. Works just fine in automatic feeders. There may be a slight increase in the odor from their stools on this stuff as compared to the old blue buffalo formula, but it is episodic so it is hard to tell if it has anything to do with the food.

So here was my dilemma. My cat was fed purina one indoor at the shelter I adopted her at. I'd feed her around a cup a day along with a 3 oz can of wet food. She would wolf the purina one down, I mean just inhale it. But later in the day she would have no energy and by 10:00 she'd be out like a light. After having her for a few months I wanted to put her on something better so I switched her to Blue Wilderness Indoor. She would eat only about a 1/3 of a cup (1/2 on rare good day) of it. But her energy skyrocketed. She would be up all night. I was worried if she was eating enough, however, so I put her back on purina one and just like old times she was out at 10:00. But she went back to eating over a cup. Finally, I tried this. I didn't bother to try to wean her on to this. I just put a half cup in a bowl and wanted to see what happened. At first, she sniffed it and left the room. About an hour later she returned and just inhaled it. The bowl is empty and she has a ton of energy. It's 11:00 pm as I write this and she literally climbing the walls. Plus this has much better ingredients than purina one so I don't have to feel like the worst cat owner in the world.

my cat loves it.. no stink in the litter box now.. im Not kidding.. she eats no wet and a skin condition VANISHED after getting her on a non gluten diet.. my vet suggested this .. not this brand an all meat diet.. salmon, venison.. what could better than this.. i eat the same foods .. well NOT cat food, human food grass fed venison.. salmon , in season.. my kitty bertha lost 2 pounds of .'bloat weight" [ she 6 now] from grocery store cat food. i also recommend KONG cat nip. { on amazon}. all her sisters, around the neighborhood come and roll around, and i put a bowl of taste out for them.. All kitty's love it! RR

BOTH cats are the worst finicky eaters you can ever imagine - Yes, I have spoiled them with boiled chicken and broth, etc. BOTH cats stopped liking the NB food I was giving them and I thought they might never eat again, I have already tried about 20 brands in the past couple years. Taste of the Wild was amazing! I set the little bowl down upstairs and outside and BOTH cats starting eating before I could even move away! They LOVE it from the first smell and that was 2 days ago and they chow it down! The best ever!

This stuff is pretty great. My cat has been eating it exclusively for a few months now. Because it is so nutrient dense (compared to most food brands, with tons of filler) my cat eats it slower (he's still super fat though) and a bag lasts forever. He LOVES it, he just doesn't seem to need as much. His fir is way noticeably softer, smoother, and shinier, and I can't be sure, but in my head he's shedding a little less. Weird story (but worth noting)- once he got used to the food his night time dumps (who's scent somehow made its way directly into the bedroom) became WAY less offense. He's still going at inconvenient times (he thinks he's funny) but it doesn't ruin our lives anymore. So yeah. Get this cat food. It's awesome, and I feel good about feeding it to my cat.
