Perfection

It is very soft foam so it does rip easy if ur not careful- u put it on and leave it- I cover it with two fitted sheets so I only have to change top one. I've slept better then I have in a long time - first couple days I thought it was coincidence- but it's almost two weeks !! . Lavender smell fades fast , but that's not what's your really buying this for- 10000% worth it- just be delicate with it when put it on.

Pet Approved

Obviously pet approved. This is so comfortable, the smell is not overwhelming even while it rises. It does not get super hot like most memory foams either. Saved me some time from buying a new mattress.

I've had this mattress pad awhile now.

Before I purchased this mattress pad I read the reviews. I read a couple from each star rating, but all of the 1 star rating and look for a pattern. What I read most was that it came apart down the middle or in other sections of the pad. Mine has not done that at all and has stayed exactly like it did when it first arrived other than the scent is now gone and that was not a issue for me at all. What I will tell you is that it turned the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept in, into a very comfortable sleeping mattress. (thank goodness) Now because of all the negative post I decided to mark one corner with a black marker. Now every time I change my sheets I move it around the mattress (takes 5 seconds) and I believe that is why my pad has maintained its shape. I hope this little post helps you out. In my opinion its well worth the money...

As long as you understand the durability of memory foam and the preparation steps, you'll love it!

This memory foam topper is excellent. Although, it's important to note that the lavender scent of the topper was SUPER strong after first being unpackaged. Seriously, I'm pretty sure your entire house/apartment will smell like you're cultivating a field's worth of lavender crops in one room within moments of opening the plastic. I loved the smell - it was delightful! - but it was overpowering for my husband to a point where he had to leave the house for a few hours as I opened windows and let the scent diffuse. I'll be honest, I was excited to get this topper onto our bed and cut the fluff time down to a few hours as a result (I believe it's supposed to air out flat for up to 24 hours). Despite this, the foam had fully expanded within that few hour time frame. After re-dressing the bed, I did what any sane person would do and threw myself onto it like a starfish. I sunk into the memory foam and seriously considered just going to sleep right then. I should reiterate the point made by other reviews: if you do not let this topper fluff up by airing it out as recommended, it will NOT reach the advertised 2" thickness. I guarantee this is why some reviewers are complaining about the lack of thickness - impatience. The topper WILL be almost flat within the first hour of opening. Keep in mind also, this is memory foam and not some other synthetic foam like the old school yellow egg crate. This means that the cells of the foam are very fine and the material is extremely susceptible to tearing if stressed. This is unavoidable if the topper isn't treated gently, so ignore the reviews complaining about tearing. Our bed sheet was loose and the topper started sliding towards the head of the bed; foolishly, I only loosened the bottom corners of the sheet and tried to pull the topper towards the foot of the bed. I tore the topper slightly where my thumbs were holding on, as the topper was stuck to the mattress. It still works despite this - but this is just an example of why you should exercise caution and know what you're buying. I will undoubtedly purchase this topper again once the current one has been worn out. I am deeply satisfied with its performance.

Is it a cloud? Am I in heaven?

You will be knock knock knockin on heaven's door if you purchase this. But pay attention! When you unpack this, spread it out, with the packaging removed, AND LET IT COME TO LIFE. It has a lot to think about. It was crammed in a box, bumped around on a truck, dropped off, and then delivered to you. It needs to be unfolded, and untouched, for at least 10 hours. I let mine sit about 8 hrs and loosely folded it in half all night so I could sleep. The next night I made my bed in this order: mattress protector Lucid 2" Lavender Topper Fitted sheet on topper Top sheet Blanket I will never forget the first time I slept on it. I felt cradled like a baby. It is the best thing to add to my tempurpedic mattress. Love it!

not a hot topper, keeps you cool at night

I bought this because my other mattress pad was REALLY hot (even though it was supposed to be cooling gel) I would wake up sweating every night. This mattress pad is exactly the opposite and I wish I bought it a long time ago. It's not super thick, maybe an inch and a half max. When I first opened it, it didn't look big enough to cover the bed. I let it air out for about 40 minutes and it totally came to life. the smell only lasted about a day or so and I usually have lavender, but I honestly didn't mind it. The shape of the ridges do a good job ok letting the air flow so you don't get hot at night. I would highly recommend this item. I do have a cotton topper on top of it bc I was so nervous about the air flow, but them together make my bed feel like a cloud and I absolutely love it.

we aren't ready to pull the trigger on buying a nice, fancy

I went back and forth on buying this for weeks. Our mattress is old and worn, but with a young baby, we aren't ready to pull the trigger on buying a nice, fancy, new mattress that might end up peed/pooped/barfed on. This is an affordable way to extend the life of an aging mattress for a comfy night's sleep. We are very happy with it and so far, so good with durability. UPDATE 3/24/18: Happy to report that we are still pleased with this topper. Foam is still responsive and comfortable. Our mattress is finally so bad that the topper can't save us from having to buy a new one, but we will either be using this on the new bed or moving it to another bed to keep on making comfy sleep happen. This one is worth the money.

Beautiful scent, excellent comfort.

I'm not big on writing reviews, but this product deserves one. I bought this about 3 weeks ago and loved it. I disagree that it's too strong smelling, but I also love oils like lavender, eucalyptus, and mint. Prior to this topper I had a 3" gel one (on top of my super firm mattress) that had excellent reviews but I still had back pain. I tried this one and it was perfect. Unfortunately, I forgot to shut my bedroom door before I went to work and my saint bernard got in and ripped it up. I immediately ordered a new one because it's really that great. In fact I've been sleeping on my couch until the new one arrived. Do yourself a favor and buy a couple. At this price and this quality it's a steal!
