True to Size or Somewhat Larger

Still much too big on my incredibly large (and adorable) two year old-- I tend to buy larger for her to grow into things, but this is far too long on her but I can tell it will look very cute and flattering once she can fit it. Our friends have an 8 year old who wears this almost all of the time and now I can see why-- it is beautiful. I want one in pajama material!

Super cute!

This costume couldn't be any cuter! It's very true to size. My 3 and a half year year old (4 in May) wears 4T pants/jeans and this fits her perfectly. She likes to dress as a different Disney princess every day. The mermaid dress has become one of her favorites. It's a fully sewn dress that's comfortable enough for her to wear all day, no itchy velcro closures. The price was great, honestly wasn't expecting such a well made piece. I'm extremely happy we purchased this cute dress!

Fantastic!

Ordered this for my 3 1/2 year old and she LOVES it! I ordered a 6 though because my daughter is so tall, it drags a bit, probably could have used a size down but she'll have it longer and we use a scarf under the ruffles as a belt that you can't see. So I'd say this runs true to size, very nice quality and it comes with a cute little sea shell headband. Terrific for little girls!

True to size and nicely made

We went with mermaid theme this year for my daughters 4th birthday and she and everyone else loved this little piece. My daughter is super picky when it comes to wearing dress up type things claiming everything is itchy but she did not with this. Super cute and not cheaply made, great for price!

Great Costume or Dress Up Outfit

My daughter wanted to be Ariel for Halloween and this was perfect. We live in SC so it's not usually too chilly but the sleeves were perfect for keeping her warm after the sun went down. Great fit and comfortable enough for her to walk around all night. Be careful with the sequins as they can pop off pretty easily if you rub up against them. I wouldn't recommend washing it either! Fit was great for my tall, skinny three year old (we ordered the 4T in hopes she can use it all year as dress up too).

I love this little costume dress and my 4 year old loves it even more. She wears it constantly. A word of advice is, if your child wears this like mine does, it will get filthy and need a good washing. DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER. I'm sure there is a warning on the dress somewhere that states that, but I'm that person who acts then thinks about it after the fact. It will basically destroy the dress and removes essentially every single sequin. I just bought this again and will now know that to keep it 'healthy' it will not be placed in the dryer.

Almost perfect, but has half-sleeves.

My 3 year old is petite at 31 lbs and 38.5 inches tall. She normally wears a 3t and sometimes a 4t. This fits her very well. The bottom of the dress touches the ground just barely. She loves it and can't wait until Halloween. The only thing I wasn't completely happy with is the sleeves are half sleeves. I thought they would be full sleeves. That's the only down side.

Perfect for a Mermaid Princess

My daughters had been asking for a mermaid dress for weeks. One day she sees this on my screen (thank you Amazon for making this pop up) lol... Anyway she went crazy. Went with the 6x and it fits her relaxed. Absolutely perfect because it's just enough room for a jacket or coat or layers for a chilly Halloween night on the east coast. My daughter is a big 4 year old. Weighs 50 pounds as 44-45 inches tall. She also had a little 'just ate' belly. The material is really soft and stretchy. She has been wearing it constantly already

We purchased for our granddaughter and she wants to wear it all of the time! I bought this costume with the pink LAGHCAT mermaid tail blanket and she wears them together! I purchased 5T because although she just turned 3 she is the height and weight of an average 5 year old. It fits but couldn't be any tighter to be comfortable. So I would say it fits about as expected or maybe just slightly smaller than expected.
