Perfect hand-held audio recording device

I have used this to record calls in the wild, initially birds and frogs/toads. This has enabled me to compare sounds with published calls made by these animals. The recorded sound quality is excellent, picking up fainter sounds than I can hear with my ears! It will take me some time to become completely familiar with the operating interface on such a physically small device, but everything I need is there. I have not yet connected this to a camera, but the shock mount is included. I bought the full kit so that I can also record presentations - using the lavalier mic. The only omission was a hand-held shock mount, but that can be purchased separately.

Good package everything you need

Only thing I'd add is a case, the product itself is a very sound product. Get it? Battery life is good, the product is easy to use. The fuzzy windscreen doesn't fit too well over the microphones factory one would be my only complaint.

If you're planning to use the Zoom F1 in both its shotgun and lavalier mic configurations, both of which excel in the field based on what I've done with the F1 so far, this is the perfect pack.
