Good for beginners!

This is a great shoulder rest. I am just now learning to play and this has helped me keep my violin in place way better than just trying to use my shoulder. The rosin that came with it was a nice accompaniment as well.

Nice upgrade

Very nice piece. Leather contact pad instead of foam should stand the test of time. Beautiful carved wood. Nice accent to the instrument.

Good deal, good rest

Very easy to adjust sizes, easy to put on and take off my violin. Came with a nice box, plus two or three rosins for my bow and a nice cloth for cleaning. A great deal and a great rest, haven’t had any issues yet, helps me hold my violin correctly too.

Amazing Comfort and Quality

I was looking to get a second shoulder rest for a new back-up violin I am restoring, but didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg. I am pleasantly surprised by how comfortable this rest is! I normally use the bon musica shoulder rest and this actually didn’t feel too different on my shoulder. The one thing I like better about the bon musica is it wraps around the shoulder and feels a little sturdier than this rest. However, if I never had the bon musica before, I think this shoulder rest would rate extremely highly in comfort and in value! The little rosin and cleaning cloth it came with were definitely a nice touch as well. It was worth every penny.

had proper instruction on how to install and practice on a cheap violin

can pivot and make contact with violin wood finish...however was easily remedied .

Fits perfectly and can be adjusted

Got it for my daughter who’s been playing violin since third grade and is playing a difficult peace for her NYSSMA competition. She says it feels so comfortable on her shoulder and it makes her shifting so much. It also came with some free rosin and cloth which she uses all the time now.

very comfortable. had to adjust it a few times to figure out the best position, but once I figured it out it worked perfectly.
