This worked really well as long as I didn't go over about 4 feet high because the center of gravity would create issues. I went 8 feet long by 4 feet tall. I did have an issue with one of the 2x4's fitting really tightly but that was expected and I used a sledge to get it all the way in. I ordered two of these and I'd order them again.

Well made, very sturdy. I used #8 x 1&1/2" GRK "cabinet screws" (rated for treated lumber) to secure the horizontal 2x4s. I used #9 x 3&1/8" GRK countersunk screws for securing the vertical 2x4s and cross braces. An 8' 2x4 will give you a 3.5ft vertical end if you cut (2) 40.5" pieces and secure the remainder to the top to make a big T. Pictured is my completed 12' rack.

Worked great. Like one other reviewer, used 12 ft 2 x 4's. Also braced across top and sides and in between the bottom 12 foot 2 x 4's. It held 1/2 cord of wood .

Simple yet practical product. We like that you can choose how big you really want it with the length of wood you choose to buy. Would recommend to others!

Well made and sturdy.

I got this one over the others because it is obviously thicker. It turns out that I did the right choice. They look and feel very strong.Stacked wood in finished racks 7ft long by 5ft high.Sturdy enough. Couldn't be happier.

This project is very well made and works wonderfully. I did stain my tuba fours with outdoor protection stain. I'm going to have to make it a little longer to hold more wood. That's the nice thing you can make it as long or as short as you want.

I've had my eye on these brackets for a while now and finally decided to make the purchase. Such a simple idea but these brackets are very rugged and work great. Once you add the pressure treated 2 x 4's, the result is an extremely sturdy rack! I wanted to make the rack no higher than my deck rails so I purchased four 2 x 4 x 8's. I used two 8' lengths for the bottom and cut each of the remaining two 2 x 4 x 8's into four 3' sections. From the remaining "scrap", I added a 22' "top" on each "side" rail and braced the mid section with a 5" piece. I also just ordered a 7' x 9' water resistant canvas tarp for the top (not pictured). Now we are the envy of the neighbors :)

This bracket proves a strong structural basis for your semi-custom wood rack. Stick some 2x4s in there and you’re done, or do like I did and use the saved time to add a roof to keep the rain off. It’s great being able to easily customize the rack to meet your constraints and conditions.
