EDIT 2/18: So with their new firmware you can now edit Pro settings right on the Pocket itself! Very useful as you don't have to plug in your phone anymore. They also added a Cinema Color Profile which mutes the colors a bit so you can do color correction later in software. I'm bumping it to 5 stars as this is the perfect device for a amateur user like me. Every update just makes the device even better! So it's a new year and I wanted to try my hand at video making. I have no experience at all except from using a phone camera. My first thought was this is the perfect size in my hands. It's also very light and holding it does not fatigue my hands at all. The mechanical gimbal is very cool. It has three modes: Follow, First Person, and Tilt Lock. The touchscreen on the device is very responsive. Easy to use swipes and taps, you can select different features pretty quickly. The phone attachment is very iPhone and USB-C phones only right now. I believe they are working on a update for micro-usb phones. When you plug in the phone you get access to more robust options like manual adjustments to ISO and frame rates. Also when you get your right setting and unplug the phone, the settings stay on. The only hinder is that you have to plug the phone back in to change it again. When you plug in the phone I would recommend using two hands to operate. The only thing that would worry me is the little lightning connector holding up my big iPhone will snap. You can easily plug in to a power bank and film way longer. Right now the battery life is good, getting about 2 hour shooting time. It comes with USB-C wire and the phone connectors for iPhone and USB-C. Also a pretty good hard plastic case that protects your device. There are many accessories coming so stay tuned for those. Also don't worry about the touching the gimbal itself. It's pretty sturdy and it was meant to be manually moved around to adjust the tilt angle. Coming from just a normal dude, this is a pretty awesome device! I have played around with a Go Pro but if you put that thing on a gimbal itself it can get pretty heavy.

Its amazing , works like a dream , took pano in the dark hand held on the party buss and picture came out sharp , video is fantastic. If you have a micro usb phone then give it to your grandma and get an Iphone x ;)

This has quickly become my daily camera. I never take videos/photos on my phone because my phone's storage isn't expandable and also because I still have the iPhone 6s plus and the camera isn't that great. Thankfully, this takes great footage and is very pocketable that I wouldn't even have to think twice about bringing it! It takes really "cinematic" images so easily which is great for non-professionals like me but even the professionals have commended this device. Just be careful with the gimbal though since it can be quite delicate. I suggest buying the Osmo Shield which gives you extended warranty plus a one-time accidental damage protection for 2 years! It's only $29 so it's a no-brainer for a device this expensive. Also take your camera to the next level by using ND filters. I got the Skyreat ones since they're of good quality and are very affordable. I really like this device and I'm going to make it worth every penny.

The very first impression when unboxing the DJI Osmo Pocket was how small it was. I knew it was going to be small, but didn't think it would be that small. I know some people complain about the activation process of the device, but for me it was not that big of a deal. I find it funny that some people complain about invasion of privacy, but have no problems in signing up fo social media websites. Anyways, back on topic which is my review of the Osmo Pocket. I'm use to operating a Zhiyun Crane Plus gimbal and I have to say I believe carrying around the Osmo is going to be a piece of cake compared to the Crane Plus. The one thing I notice when powering up the Osmo Pocket was that it sure goes through its initialization rather quickly and a little roughly which in a way was a little humorous to me. Though I would be careful when powering up the Osmo to make sure you're not holding the camera portion of the gimbal. I have only played around with it for about 10-15 minutes, but from what I have done so far has really impressed me. The video comes out really nice and the tracking seems to be spot on. I really haven't throughly tested the Auto Focus, but what I can tell so far that it's pretty good. I will try to give a more thorough review of the DJI Osmo Pocket, but as of right now it's a winner.

Having waited for months for the release of this camera, I am not disappointed. Videos are rock steady and very clear. I was a little concerned about the audio but after filming my granddaughters school Xmas concert, it recorded fine. Since I didn’t have an iPhone or an Android phone with usb-c I had to use my iPad mini to register and get access to the pro features. It works fine as long as there is no case on it. With even a thin case, the gimbal would hit. The only thing that would make it better would be an optical zoom lens. Hopefully in a future generation. UPDATE: Love it! I added the WIFI module and now I can just sit the camera on a table or tripod and control what the camera is filming thru the app on my phone. I have numerous other cameras that can be controlled by an app but you can only snap a picture or film a video that the camera is looking at.

I really like this OP. Love the videos and with Pro setting can get some awesome firework videos. The quality is great and feels sturdy. The seller sent item quickly and I recieved it 1 week early so very impressed, thank you very much. Very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend getting the extended warranty as this is not a cheap item. I spent months checking reviews and I am glad I purchased this for family videos. Ulanzi has a wide angle lens that work well with this camera as the shots are very narrow when recording someone that you are walking beside. Very happy that DJI keeps releasing updates. This shows they care for their customers. Cant wait to see what they update next and also when they release the waterproof case.

Great little camera to add to my arsenal. I use it for several things but the most impressive use was videoing a wedding ceremony. Coupled with the Bluetooth module I set it on a pole up on the altar looking back toward the church and guests. So small it was hard to see. It was a great angle that I wouldn’t be able to get because I couldn’t have a manned camera up there. The Bluetooth connection allowed me to monitor the view and change camera angle from the back of the church. And the quality in room light was very nice.

I was in the market for a 4K camera & gimble for some personal video projects. Even in 2019 most options STILL cost a fortune. I heard about this camera and decided to give it a try considering it was exactly what I needed and the attractive price tag. & I Love it so far! Pros: 1.Stabilization is great (even while sprinting & playing sport) 2.Battery life is great (last all day and then some) 3.Controls are very simple and easy to learn 4.The viewfinder and touch auto-focus work great Cons: 1. No threads for mounting tripods. (3rd party options for mounts are available and cheap on amazon however) 2.Internal microphone isn’t great 3. Aftermarket microphones must be mounted to the bottom using a 3.5mm adapter. 4. No possibility to mount the camera while using an external microphone because of location. Overall this is a great camera. Ive been leaving my DSLR at home or in my camera bag much more often because of it. I defiantly recommend it.

This Gimbal device is fantastic, and it still isn't finished yet. DJI is still releasing updates along the way. My main desire for getting this is for vlogging, I wanted to start a youtube channel, but I didn't want to carry the OSMO mobile 2. It just wouldn't be as flexible of a device for me. This is so small that I can bring it into restaurants and set it down while I walk around the place as it's tracking me ( Like a personal camera-man ) you cut the need for so many different camera angles. The microphone isn't an issue for me since I use an external digital recorder (Tascam DR-40) for voice capture, this way I'm not limited with the distance I can have the OSMO pocket away from me. The tracking is spot on, just don't be silly and wack the thing around like a boomerang. You move it just like you would the OSMO mobile 2, slow and easy. This is meant to stabilize, but like anything you can only go so fast before you reach the limits of this technology. I won't lie, I love this thing, BUT I wrote this review because the one stars on this product are absolutely insane and completely unwarranted. Watch ONE youtube video review of this device, and you'll see that all the people who gave this a 1 star did even visit the DJI website ( which is crazy if you think about it, they invested 350$ blindly). Four of the 1-star reviews are people who didn't read the darn manufacture description. No Micro-USB? of course not! PEOPLE PLEASE! JUSTICE!
