THE VAVA VOOM DELIVERS WHERE MOST OTHERS FAIL This speaker is incredable for the price! Rich beautiful full sound quality like that of Bose top end speakers. I have 2 Creative Sound Blaster Roars and so far this is the closes speaker to it. I wanted deep base ,good mid, and clear smooth highs along with real surround sound. The VaVa Voom is not as good as the Creative Sound Blaster Roar but it is better then most everything out! This should be the first Bluetooth speaker you look at because nothing else is going to be able to compete with it. Better then the Bose mini,SoundLink, SHARKK Boom Box Budy, FUGOO,UE BOOM, OontZ XL,Harman Kardon Onyx,JBL Flip 3. I would say it is closer to the Sony SRSX5. I got it because I like real surround sound for my movies and this a real nice surround sound. There is just a little sound lag time but if it bothers you you can use the aux jack. All and this is my 2nd choice under the Creative Sound Blaster Roar for all around sound and my #1 choice for movie sound! THE PERFECT PROTECTIVE CARRYING CASE COVER FOR YOUR VAVA BOOM! Few things surprise me. But in a word, this speaker is "awesome"! Instead of a bunch of technocrat terms that you'd either be bored or confused by, I'll tell you in layman's terms how I arrived at my conclusion. First of all, I've owned several higher-end speakers costing a lot more money, and this one tops them by a country mile. The sound is clear, crisp, and loud enough for small parties or get-togethers. I am very picky about the sound quality of my music, and would never waste time listening to something that's little better than a transistor radio. To test it, I chose a variety of media, ranging from movies, to speeches, to my favorite YouTube songs on my droid phone and desktop PC. The sound resonated in ways comparable to what you hear at the movies, or at an indoor concert. My test sites included R&B, soul oldies, hip-hop, jazz, country, gospel, and some rap. I am also a keyboardist, and when connected to my Yamaha, the multiple instrument sounds were also very distinct and pleasing--especially the jazz compositions. The speaker's size is great too, as I wanted something small and compact when I have 7-10 people over for barbecues, parties, etc. Or when I have my special lady over for a romantic dinner, and want to start a nice playlist. I also see advantages in its water resistant qualities, as it will be nice to have on when I'm washing my car, and won't have to be too protective of inadvertent water spills. I bought this speaker less than 48 hours after I had purchased it's lower- priced cousin, the Va Va Voom 20. I like them both, but the downside of the Voom 20 is the long charge time, slightly less volume, and no EQ sound modes. I intend to keep them both, as the 20 will be great for my desk at work, or "just me" time at home.

I purchased this speaker almost 2 months ago. I use it 4 to 5 times a week. Has great sound and volume considering its size. Easy to pair. Like to use the "party" equalizer setting mostly because it is louder and has a deeper, richer sound. Battery life is good. Interesting feature is that you can charge your cell phone on it. Got it to play my Amazon music from my Android phone wherever I am. I have only one suggestion for improvement and that is to place the "pause" button farther from the "volume down" button. They are so close I often press pause when trying to just turn down the volume but I'm gradually getting used to the positions of the buttons. Otherwise it is very easy to use. Glad I purchased the VAVA Voom 21.

I am absolutely satisfied with this speaker and would recommend it to anyone. It has tons of battery life for the casual listener; I last charged it a few days ago but I only listen for about a half hour per day so it should last about 20 days according to the manufacturer's specifications. It also connects to Bluetooth easily and quickly and you can connect up to two devices at once and it's only a matter of pausing the music on one device and playing it on the other to switch which has primacy over the speaker (although I have not tried this feature yet). It's a very loud speaker and is quite suitable for indoor and backyard type settings, just keep in mind that it's NOT waterproof. The sound on this device is outstanding; I keep it on standard mode, which produces a lot of bass and is well suited for rock and alternative music. Overall, a very good device. I recommend.

After a great deal of research on various other products such as jbl charge2+, amazon tap. I finally chose this. I think my effort paid off. This black beauty is really very loud and its beats can be felt anywhere in my whole living room. I loved all of its features which were truelly desribed by the company and some youtube reviewers, specially the EQ modes( surround one is best if you are a movie guy and its party mode really added awesomeness to my house party), in built power bank, which for me is a delight as my battery is always low :-p whenever i had to listen songs in my free time. In nutshell: 1: sound is great i didnot experienced any distortions. 2: looks are really good and new others just have rectangle and cylindrical. 3: battery life is authentic as they claim. 4: sub woofer are really strong. 5: customer support: this is more than best i mean in my life noone has ever contacted me in person after the purshase of any product to take the feedback. They also helped me out that how can i extend my warranty to 6 months free of cost. I would rate it a must buy product.

It works pretty well on bluetooth, sometimes. There is one important issue. It seems to disengage after 30 minutes but still indicates it has a good battery charge, and does reconnect for another period of time. It is a little annoying to take time out from whatever we are doing to reconnect to the iPhone, iPad or Macbook. The sound envelope can be changed in the bass/treble mix by a selection button to 1 of 3 presets. The 3 presets have a good sound effect and even approach the impression you are listening to a larger sound system. VAVA does have a reasonable volume and is able to connect to an Apple device on phone calls. I do not think I would purchase this item again yet it does a good job during the time it is connected and therefore I would not send it back. When it disconnects I'm usually at the pool and by then I'm ready to get out anyway. Update: October 27, 2016 VAVA contacted me soon after writing this review and expressed their desire to correct the issue as soon as possible. They replaced my faulty VAVA speaker and I have had the opportunity to evaluate the performance of the replacement. The new system is incredible as it latches into the bluetooth mode and stays connected until I disconnect. I can move about freely from room to room in my home and stay connected. What I really like is my original intended purpose which was to act as a sound amplifier for my phone so I can hear all the different phone notifications and alerts. I am just so pleased with this replacement I change my original 3 stars happily to 5 star. VAVA did not ask for a change in my review, did not ask for anything in return, they simply expressed their desire to take care of a consumer. I recognize that with technology, there are sometimes unforeseen glitches. VAVA quickly addressed the problem and now I can report I am impressed with this product. I really do enjoy all its features. I would recommend this product and the VAVA Company as solid customer support with a great product. I would like to mention, this VAVA product comes packaged in the same way Apple packages its products, just a different color. Doing so make me feel an added sense of confidence as my household is a substantial technology consumer and well, packaging does say something about the company and product.

So far, so good! I've been looking for a good sounding portable Bluetooth speaker setup and I've found one. I've listened to Bose, Sonos, Braven and loved all 3 but just couldn't see myself spending $300 and more for them. For short money, the sound is on par with any one of those brands! It's not as Spacious as Bose, not as crisp as Braven and doesn't have wifi like Sonos but it is a Very comparable crisp, open sound that I will be proud to have anyone listen to. There's enough volume without significant distortion to fill any size room in the house and should be more than enough for poolside or by the beach. The fact that it's a 2.1 speaker system gives it some right and left separation. Although there's no treble or base controls, I'm sure I can find enough EQ functions on the software app on my phone if I need to but from the sound I'm getting it shouldn't be necessary. It pairs very quickly to my Samsung S7 and is very quick to adapt. $64 well spent!

The great sound quality I was looking for! I needed a Bluetooth speaker. I did not want a Bluetooth speaker. I have a 2 story house and the lack of music anywhere but the living room just had to end. The idea of buying multiple stereos for around the house seemed ridiculous and costly. I liked the idea of a portable speaker, but I dreaded the lower quality of sound most of these systems produce. I have a very nice active stereo system in my car, and my home theater system is nothing to sneeze at. Audio quality is very important to me. I decided living with a Bluetooth speaker was the only reasonable option. I mean, these are meant to be small and portable, so of coarse you can't expect that level of quality from one of these devices. Once I tried this thing out, my concerns were gone. I read many reviews about how good this thing sounds, but I was still not prepared for the level and quality of sound that this produces. Vocals sound real and accurate, and produces unbelievable bass for a unit of this size. I'm not saying this thing sounds as good as a 5.1 system or a nice car stereo, but for what it is, it's amazing. It has ample volume for anywhere in my house. In a typical room, 50% volume is more than adequate. On top of that, it still sounds clean at max volume, so you can seriously rock out with this thing. It seems in the backyard it would still have plenty of power. I saw videos of this stacked against other portable solutions, and it blows away most that cost twice as much. I decided to take a frequency measurement with a calibrated MIC, which is shows below. The response is surprisingly smooth, with only one notable spike around 400hz, but I did not find it noticeable. Bass start to roll off around 100hz, but has usable bass down to around 70hz, which is amazing. This thing plays lower than my center channel speaker, which has larger drivers, cost twice as much, powered by 4X the power. It also plays relatively smooth up to 20K, which is beyond most people's hearing anyway. I wan't looking for a super portable speaker for trips, just to have around the house, but this is small enough to put in a backpack or the glovebox, etc. Overall, I don't feel I could have got a better value buying anything else available.

Just received mine yesterday, paired it up with my iPad Pro, ran a couple of tunes, great. Saw 2 movies, great. Completely Satisfied. A month ago I purchased one of those $40 10 watt cube jobs. When I first got it, I was like wow, this little box is pretty good ! BUT after about 2 weeks I knew this was not for me, better suited for my 10 year old daughter. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for ! The Vavavoom oval speaker is GREAT !!! I prefer the surround sound setting best, party is a little too brassy for my taste. Standard is well, standard ! Surround it great for movies ! Nice heavy size, good looking, looks to be well built. Definitely not rugged, I would not won't to drop this baby, not a on the beach taker. But for home, or travel, vacations, perfect. Completely Blows Away The Cube $40 Dollar Jobs ! Now that I have both. 1 to 10, 10 being the best. I would rate the $40, 10 watt cube 4. This Vavavoom I would rate 8, reason I don't rate higher is because I know there are still even better ones out there, but for a lot more money ! Little advice, don't buy ANYTHING 10 watt, IF you want something good, this 20 watt speaker is at least 2 times louder, , 3 times better sound, and 3 times more options, as in being able to charge devices from this unit, 3 sound settings, 2 modes of charging. My only regret is I didn't get this first ! But, oh well. Now my 10 year old has a speaker that I know I won't be having to tell her to turn it down all the time, because it's not loud enough anyway, go for it. Bet You Will Smile Also !

Ultra easy to connect and I went with the optical connect to my new 4K player (samsung) . It supports all the new audio the sound is incredible and clear and you here a major difference when switching to straight stereo jack vs the Optical- the optical volume is 4 x more in regards to the output .. it is crystal clear and really enhances the television experience .. even with audio only ..say want to listen to Tunein Radio or Amazon Music...So I highly recommend this ...and I would definitely purchase this again...for another room..
