We used to buy the cheapest stuff. I mean, you can see why - litter is LITTERally cats alleviating themselves on your hard earned dollars. We went through a ton of that cheap stuff - we used more because it wasn't that great. The wife wanted this stuff. I wasn't crazy about spending 50% more for less lbs. But after she threatened to burn my collection of Tamagotchis, I gave in. And I'm glad I did. We use much MUCH less litter. Our litter usage is littler. I'm spending less on litter despite buying more expensive litter. We're feline fine. This litter is occasion for a-paws. This product is cat-tastic. I'm not kitten, this litter-ally is great. Fur sure.

I'm still amazed at how light this cat litter is. Cleaning the box is easy because the litter is so small that sifting is made much easier. In comparison to other litters I've used, the clumping is really strong. I rarely have times where it breaks, though if it does there isn't as much residue leftover in comparison to other litters. I recently tried a natural cat litter and noticed that when the clumping fails/breaks then there is often a darker cat litter left in the box and it is impossible to clean out unless you clean out all the litter. This litter doesn't do that, though I have noticed that it does track around the house a lot. Since the litter is so small it's easily for it to get picked up by your cat's paws and tracked all over. A mat in front of the litter box helps, but does not fully prevent this. Another thing I noticed is that this cat litter is sometimes hard to clean up if you have thicker carpeting. There is a lot of dust that comes with this litter, not as much as the original Tidy Cats version but still dust clouds up every time I clean it or put in more litter.

I like it. But don't take my word for it: my cats are pleased too. It clumps well, and even when the litter box is rather full, there is no "litter box smell." I recommend this size to everyone, which lasts about 2.5 weeks in a multiple cat household.

I'm an avid user of scoopable cat litter and always disliked the weight of it. It's so heavy. I was delighted to find this lightweight cat litter. Then I was worried it might not clump well. But it clumps great and is easy to scoop because it's lighter. I have 4 cats and need a good clumping litter to keep my multiple boxes clean. This exceeded my expectations. I've since bought a second bucket and will continue to do so as needed. I let my roommate try it for her cat box and she loves it also and ordered a bucket for herself. I'm so glad they made a lightweight version of a great scoopable cat litter. Kudos to Tidy Cat. I very highly recommend this cat litter to anyone who likes to keep their litter box clean without having the weight of regular clumping litter.

I've always been a fan of the lightweight cat litter. Even if I'm not the one that has to haul it from the car to the house. So much easier to pour into the litter boxes and it's either just as or more affective than traditional litter. I've refrained from buying it because I found the pricing to be a little higher than traditional cat litter but companies are finally moving the price within range. I suspect more people are starting to buy it and hope eventually this will be the only option.

Sound like an idiot saying "I love my cat litter".... Oh well. Run a cat sanctuary. Used shredded paper for decades. With our Alaska Dispatch News having run itself into the ground, they've stopped delivering to the more remote areas. So, with the few folks who live up here, loosing their paper delivery also, I needed to make a change in litter type. I really like this Purina Light Weight litter. And unless the price gets insane, it's what I'll keep buying. Been about two months since I introduced the 1st pans of Tidy Cats. Now, even though there's still shredded paper available, almost all the cats use the Tidy Cats. Trips to the landfill make the "lightweight" VERY welcome. Not to mention the clumping. It's fantastic. Pans are "scooped" several times a day and I have yet to dump a whole pan because of odor caused by a few pieces of clay that might fall through the scoop. Virtually no little crumbs of wet litter, fall off to contaminate the clean litter. If a bit does comes loose, it stays clumped, making it easy to remove and leaving the rest of the litter, clean. Does not turn into cement that sticks to the side/bottom of the pan. Even large areas of wet litter (multiple hits) are usually removed in one big clump. Two or three pans are favored and see a lot of activity. This can handle multiple cats, stomping all over the used areas, without the clumps breaking apart.... This is good stuff. "Tracking" is not an issue. Use of a deep litter pan will help keep the lightweight litter in the pan if you have a frisky digger. Even though some of the cats have long hair, the litter tracking seems to be minimal and doesn't present the slightest problem. Nothing a "stick vac" or dust pan, kept near the "area", won't handle. The "scented" one is very pleasant and the cats have no issue with the aroma. People don't either. I'd recommend without hesitation. Even though I don't love inanimate objects... this comes close. UPDATE.....As expected, the price has gone through the roof.... Another case of... whatever the market will bear .... Even here in Alaska, with the stores adding their shipping, it's NOW cheaper to buy it in state, instead of on AMAZON.

I'm not exactly a fan of cats, but my sister can't live without them, and multiple cats in a small apartment can quickly get smelly. Lugging giant bags of cat litter up three flights of stairs is no picnic either, so the lightweight stuff is a must. With the added Glade scent, the not-as-heavy weight, and the giant pail size, this cat litter is about as good as it gets -- cuts down on odor, can handle a herd of cats in a tiny apartment, and doesn't require physical therapy after carrying it up all those stairs. I'm still not sold on cats as pets, but this makes the idea a little more bearable.

Only buy this lightweight stuff now. My cat loves it and its only important what she thinks but she can't type lol. Sorry I think I am funny. Hope you do too.

Very handy way to keep cat litter and you get to keep the bucket! Instead of dumping the litter into the box from the bucket I use a cup as a scoop. This is also my favorite cat litter. It is the only litter that doesn't smell even when we are fastidious at keeping the cat box clean. The price I paid is very fair considering they ship it to my house for nothing through Amazon Prime. The price has gone up $2 since I bought it a couple of weeks ago, but like many prices here on the River it fluctuates from day to day and minute to minute. As my dad used to say about the weather where he lived---"Just wait a minute and it changes."

My husband had been in charge of buying litter for our two cats, and had been getting non-clumping litter. With me being the one cleaning the litter box, that was a pain in the behind since there was no way to remove the *ahem* liquid waste products, other than just dumping out all the litter. Which I'm pretty sure everyone agrees isn't a practical option to do every time a cat "goes". So I promoted myself to being in charge of litter purchases and ordered this Purina lightweight litter, since not only was it a clumping litter which makes it super convenient to remove liquid waste easily, but I was also sick of having to lug around and store big bags of heavy litter. This litter is fantastic - I'm really surprised at how happy and pleased I can be about something like cat litter. This clumps really well and almost instantly, so all waste can be removed to have a fresh, clean litter box and nothing to leave any odors. But, I'm sure here wouldn't be odors anyways because THIS STUFF SMELLS SO GREAT! The addition of the Glade scents is so fresh and definitely covers any odor that there may be. It's not an overwhelming scent, but you can certainly notice it and it just makes the room smell clean and fresh. You'd think there was an air freshener rather than a litter box in the room. The kicker is that it's lightweight, but packs a punch in how much it can hold. This definitely makes it easier on storage since it takes up less space, it's much easier to carry around, and no more lugging heavy bags of "used" litter out to the garbage. But just because it's lighter doesn't mean you're missing out on anything, since it can absorb about twice it's weight/is comparable to using twice as much non-clumping litter. As silly as it sounds, it's safe to say this litter has changed my life for the better. Less fuss, less mess, and less smell.
