I was looking for a B+ - I've heard from other folks in my local maker group that in addition to running 1.4 ghz (vs 1.2 on the B) the I/O speeds were significantly faster with the B+, particularly using USB3 (rather than 2) and a 10/100/1000 instead of the standard 10/100. Transfer speeds from the Pi are about 3x faster based on some benchmarks.. Setup would have been about 5 minutes - It was a little tricky to install the board into the case. At first I didn't have the board properly slotted into the base part, so when the cover went on the Micro SD card didn't align with the slot. I ended up using a file to open the slot not quite 1/8", but then I assembled it properly and there was actually more than enough room to insert and remove the MicroSD card. Had I simply figured it out the 1st time it would have been 5 minutes including installing the heat sinks. Just don't do what I did. I like that the power supply has a separate on/off switch - it will definitely save the power socket from having to be plugged and unplugged. I'm using Raspbian and while the card came pre-loaded, but I used an image from one of the folks in my maker group.

The power supply has bad contact, easily lose power even when the box is moved a little bit. I had to be very cautious not to touch the box after it is powered on. Follow up: Seller promptly sent a replacement power supply with no charge. The replacement power supply works fine. Good service! Thank you.

I liked everything about this kit, comes with all necessary items to get you up and running. Simple to put together, love the on and off switch on the power supply. Now keep in mind that we are talking about a credit card size computer. No, we are not talking about a work horse here but for learning programming, surfing the net and other activities this little thing is great. Already planning on expanding its capabilities with add ones. Yea Raspberry Pie!

easy to assemble.nice fit on the case as well.looks good everything was intact and in good shape in box.i chose this because i am using it in a desktop setting and will not be adding any hats to it so the fact the case didnt have all the slots on its top is what appealed to me.its amazing how this tiny puter runs LibreELEC(media center os) and runs 1080p when my laptop has issues with anything over 720..makes for a great set top box to watch movies on a external storage device--or it also makes a very capable small desk top...depending on its operating system

A friend suggested learning about Raspberry Pi and this starter kit looked promising. The Raspberry Pi 3 B+ is made in the UK, the power supply 5V/3A and SanDisk 16Gb microSD card from China, the plastic case from ?. The SanDisk card is plenty big enough to hold NOOBS (New Out Of Box Software), which has the operating system and a whole host of other programs using either console or GUI mode. Even after installing the Raspian OS from the card, I have more than 7Gb of space remaining. The clear plastic case is easy to assemble but I had to make a modification to allow me to install a break-out expansion card and cable (Kuman RPi GPIO Breakout Expansion Board + Ribbon Cable + Assembled T Type GPIO Adapter 20cm FC40 40pin Flat Ribbon Cable for Raspberry Pi 3 2 Model B & B+ SC05); I already had an extra breadboard. You can see the cut-out on the case I made using a scroll saw - the 3 mm thick plastic didn't shatter when I was making the cut. After some minor sanding of the edges, I now have a nice cover for my Pi which still allows me to easily access the GPIO pins via the breadboard. I tested the 5V and 3.3 V and ground pins and the voltages are steady without a load. The heat sinks work well - the copper was barely warm after about an hour of operation, so I felt comfortable leaving the top of the case in place. The USB, HDMI, and micro-USB ports all work as expected, as does the microSD card and its reader as well as the GPIO pins. Overall, I think I've got a solid starter system.

All the items were correctly tabled. The SD card came with n00bs pre installed so it was easy getting the pi up and running to test and verify its working. I then used the pi to setup a instance of octopi to use with my ender 3 3d printer. It works great and never overheats even when the garage is in the upper 90's. The bundle was everything i needed. All items came in sealed packaging and were authentic. Great little bundle if you ask me.

There are soooooo many kits for Raspberry Pi.. I did hours of looking through many and trying to find what kit to go with.. this is honestly a very nice kit! Haven't had any problems so far which I am really happy about. Runs like a beauty, comes with everything needed and even really nice heat sinks (compared to sinks sold separately) Had an issue with the case but found out you have to put the SD card in After the case is on.. (I know dumb mistake) but haven't had an issue yet. Everything is of quality for the price and runs well. Kind of pointless to have the SD preloaded though since it wipes it anyway but other than that I love this kit and ABOX! Cannot go wrong with this kit..

I had been looking for a kit for some time and finally purchased this one from ABOX. It comes with everything you need to get started. I contacted ABOX about an issue with the sd card. They responded to all my messages within a few minutes and solved my problem. There was nothing wrong with the kit, but they offered a full refund if I wasn't happy. I installed Raspbian from the sd card and everything is working. Nice kit and very good customer service.

This is my 3rd pi kit and this is by far the best of the entry level. It has everything you need to get started with a basic pi project. This is also the first one that came with a power switch on the power adapter.

I got it yesterday. Delivery was fast. First of all, I like the kit and It was a good price. It works great and the price was good. This is my first RPi, so I was learning. Took a few hours to figure it out. I used a 21 inch LCD TV with a HDMI cable and it came right up. Amazing! Looks like my windows computer. Got the updates installed and figured out how to install the little Bluetooth keyboard I ordered separately. I had a surplus USB mouse and it worked perfectly. The plastic case was nice and everything fit. I will use this to help my grandsons learn computer skills and programming. It is amazing what this little RPi can do. I need to find a user group!
