This was a purchase for my in-laws and it was such a hit!! They have raved over and over about it and say it’s the best present ever. They since bought one for us and their daughter. It is so easy to set up and use. The app is an easy way to add pictures to the frame and show them what we’ve been up to. They love getting new pictures. I can add pictures easily to my own frame and my sisters now, too. The quality is great. You can choose different settings for the pictures to show up. Yes, it’s a little pricey but so worth it for someone who has everything!! Go in as a group gift or make it birthday and Christmas... but just buy this for your parents and they will love it forever!! We put ours on a little easel on the kitchen counter. I love mine too.

I ordered this for my husband for Xmas and I’m tempted to get one for my office!! Once I figured everything out (took 10 minutes) it’s been really easy to update. The only downside is if you want friends/family to send pics they have to download the app and “add” you. I did have a bit of a hard time figuring out how to get pics my friends uploaded to play but I think it have it figured out now.

I had previously bought digital frames from another manufacturer for my parents and they were awful! They kept freezing and corrupting my SD cards so I decided to look for a better option for them. I hadn't considered WI-fi frames, but liked the description of the Nixplay Seed frame and purchased it. I am so glad I did! The display is bright and crisp, but the best parts are the many options you have via the Nixplay website. You can add up to 5 frames to one account and create different albums which can then be uploaded to Playlists. These playlists can then be "published" to one or all of your frames so you can really personalize what you want to display. I utilized these playlists to upload special birthday collages I created for my Mom's special day! I also like the colors the frame offers along with the fact that it works in both landscape and portrait mode. Lastly, the power cord design works well too. You get 10GB of online storage per account which is plenty for me. You can also control various settings like transitions, sleep time, etc from their website as well. There is an iPhone app that allows you to upload pictures to your playlists which I have used many times already. You can also connect social media platforms, but I have yet to try this. I am beyond impressed with the frame quality and excellent customer service and would highly recommend this to anyone.

I previously owned a Kodak Wifi digital frame and it was the most cumbersome and difficult thing I have ever used with difficulty uploading pictures to the frame etc. This frame is exact opposite and is easy to set up and use and the website is user friendly and the app is even great. I can add pics from my phone easily and can pic and choose playlists to show and the screen is bright and beautiful. The only complaint is that playlists can only contain max of 1000 pics which I have tons more and want to play them all.

They have no real competition for a wifi photo frame, so they are pricey, but they look great and are reliable. I have had mine for 2 years and it works great!.

My Nixplay Seed works fine. I've had it up and running for about two weeks. I was going to buy a Nixplay Advance for my 84 year old father. He doesn't have a computer anymore and misses daily updates from the family. My son convinced me to buy the Nixplay Seed instead of Advance so that I could add photos for him online. I was worried about my limited technical knowledge but my son promised he would help if I ran into trouble. So far I have not had to ask one question. I set the frame up at my house and used it a few days to experiment. You set up an account on the Nixplay site and it did not cost anything. It was fairly easy to understand after I played around a few minutes. I added just a handful of photos that were various aspect ratios and quality. On the "fill screen" setting on the frame my photos were cropped where I didn't want them to be cropped, but I used the "fit to screen" setting and it works just fine for the photos I loaded. Then I loaded about 250 photos fairly easily and took it to Dad's. Dad spends lots of time looking just looking out the window but he has the frame as something else to look at now and he LOVES it. Since then I asked family permission to add their facebook photos to the frame and they were happy to contribute. I just download a new photo when they post it and upload it to the site and viola, Dad has it on his frame the same day. Today he called and asked me to change the timing of how long each photo displayed and I was remotely able to change it from 5 seconds to 20 seconds. I'm very happy. Con: There is the ability to add short captions to display on the photo but I consider it pretty useless. There doesn't seem to be any choice of font size and I have to pretty much sit right next to it with reading glasses to see the caption.

I can’t say how excited I am about this frame! We bought this as a gift for my elderly grandfather, and I can’t wait to give it to him so he can see pictures of his grandchild. It was very easy to set up, took less than 5-10 minutes tops. It looks very beautiful sitting on our shelf. We had no issues using the app or sending photos to the frame. I was surprised that it even let me send videos. It does limit the videos to 15 seconds in length. You are able to add captions to each photo and create different playlists. The app always multiple family members to send photos to the person with the frame if they have the code. I love that the frame playlists are customizable. It allowed us to change the transition of the photos to look more unique. It also has motion sensor for the frame that can be turned on or off. It has a sleep timer you can set to turn off the frame at night and wake up in the morning. Only con for us was I wish it was a little more affordable so I could purchase for more family members. It also did take a little bit of time to send the photos to the frame (around 15 mins for 30 photos). Otherwise I’m thrilled!

I purchased a wifi frame from a different manufacturer, and while I found the screen OK, the UI interface (both on the unit itself, in the web app, and in the mobile app) was non-intuitive and the overall quality of the product build (including the box and cheap plastic stand), sub-par. As a key example, the SD card couldn't be used to expand the storage on the unit and as this was a gift for my non-technologically sound mother, going through a poor UI and figuring out how to copy photos from internal storage (used when emailing or uploading pics) to an SD card .. was simply impractical. I didn't even want to introduce it to her. Back to Amazon it went. This frame was bought as my alternative. And, OH MY. The screen is superb, the mobile app is superb, and the Nixplay web app - OH MY. 5 frames in one account, 10GB storage, differing albums, multiple playlists, simple linkage to social media accounts (and then the ability to delink while maintaining pictures in independent playlists) .. unbelievable, and best of all: straightforward. You can also control *EVERY* frame setting from the web interface - with ease. This means no joke, I can plug the frame in .. connect it to my Mom's wifi - and DONE. She will *NEVER* have to touch the thing or it's remote, again. The colors of the frames are also great. The one thing I'd say they should improve .. the ability to not just pan an image, but zoom in towards the center of an image with a configurable timing on the zoom. This is because many mobile phone pics aren't exactly perfect and there's a lot of 'whitespace' that ends up showing on a subset of pics as a result of not having this. I expect this'd be a quick software update. To ask for it, I emailed support this morning (Sunday), and got a response back from Vermie within 30 MINUTES (on a Sunday morning) indicating it's on their future feature list and they'd log my request. Amazing the responsiveness. It takes a lot for me to write a review, let alone a 5 star review - but the quality of this product and the support is so striking, it's worth it. To the point where I just bought a second 'Seed' frame, for myself, directly from the Nixplay website, after using the one I got as a gift for my Mom from Amazon for 30 minutes. Stellar job, Nixplay.

This is SO nice. Having a device in which photos can be instantly added. You do have a to make an account online but it's pretty easy to use. You can block people from emailing/downloading photos or make it open to everyone for ease of use. The image quality is good. You can even dictate how the pictures move onto the screen (fade in, slide, spin, etc.)... a ton to choose from. You can also have the time displayed on the screen. It's pretty instantaneous from when you email to when it gets added to the device. A little notification appears saying that a new photo was added and who added it (that image does not stay there afterward). I was concerned it wouldn't stay upright (not sure what the cord was all about)... but it is very sturdy and VERY easy to adjust the angle of the screen so you can see it well when walking around (or from a favorite sitting spot). Plan on buying more come Christmastime!

love it! I have family spread out and this allows me to tap and share photos directly with them. The phone apps are great and the ability to add captions is nice. One caveat (not enough to take a star off) - do not use the ampersand (&) in your captions. Anything after the ampersand is cut off - more than likely due to some input validation in the app or DB, but took a bit for me to notice what was happening - AND you cannot modify captions after you upload the photos. So if you caption a photo with "Tom & Jerry at the park" you will get a photo that says "Tom" and to fix it, you will have to delete the photo and re-add it. No biggie though once you know!
