It seems compact (yet holds a full bottle of wine without being cramped) which I love as it dries on its own rack in a subtle location on my countertop. The aeration process is brilliantly designed and the decanter itself is lovely to look at.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He's been into port and wine lately. I figured this would be a good purchase. I was right!! It lets the wine or port breath a lot less time than just opening up the bottle. It gives the wine a smooth flavor and goes down great no harshness at the back of your throat. I had bought some "cheap" decanter before, cos in my poor opinion, decanter just a glass bottle, but this time I will throw them away. I think the design is brilliant. I have never tried to reverse the process. I like the style of the piece. I have often used it for other beverages other than wine, though. Any beverage looks much more tantalizing in it. Orange juice is beautiful in this placed in the center of the table. Ice water even seems more desirable when served from this decanter. It's so perfect.

The Wine decanter looks really nice and it make my mine came out it's best flavor. I tried to search a wine decanter for parties for a long time and I believe this decanter will be the one I want.
