A Drone For All

Holy Stone's HS110G is a drone for anyone who wants top performance at a reasonable price. Right out of the box it was user friendly. I began by downloading the app in minutes. The flight manual is very well organized and after gyro calibration and proper linking, I was flying within 30 minutes. The beginner mode is useful for new drone pilots in the you are limited to preset flight parameters (all guided by GPS). The pilot has the option of turning off the beginner mode for greater distance, height and return. The unlock, start flight and return home buttons are an added useful drone safety features. I am very impressed with the camera's resolution and the quality of both video and picture. The drone's size makes transporting it easy yet it flies like a drone of much larger size. I made one customer inquiry about use of an existing Holy Stone app to fly the HS110G and I was very impressed with their timely response. I recommend the Holy Stone for any level of hobby drone pilots.

Surprisingly AWESOME

I have to admit that I got a great deal on this, and it was my first drone; which I did not know what to expect. However, this drone has ALL the bells and whistles that give an awesome experience. It connects LIVE to your phone for both LIVE Video and remote-control. The video is streamed directly/live to your phone using their app, and if you click on the record button/controller or phone - it saves to your phone. This is really cool. Secondly, when using it outside; where it can lock on GPS, and in head mode - HOLY CRAP - so easy to use even a Grandmother can use it. You hit the 'return' button and it comes back to your launch site - just be sure your launch site is tree/obstacle free so that you do not hit anything when in autopilot. It also has a but to automatically take off and hover (while you figure out where to send it :-) )...I recommend using both the auto take-off, and auto landing - simply because it takes the stress away from you....Oh, and both work awesome. The camera is cool, and easily connects to your phone/app. The 1080 is awesome at this price; I could not find another drone with a camera included at this resolution or price... Overall, I am very happy with the purchase, and will definitely look at other Holy Stone products in the future.

Fun and Easy to Fly

This is a great little drone, especially for the price. It is fun and easy to fly. Even my 9-year-old granddaughter was able to take the controls for a bit. The packaging is nice, and one HUGE plus is that it comes pre-assembled. I have flown other drones that were extremely difficult to put the blades on correctly. This one comes with the blades already on, plus replacements in case you do crash it. It is lighter than some drones I have flown but it still handled the wind (5 to 10 MPH) quite nicely. The camera takes nice pictures both as single photos, and video. I also like the fact that the battery can be charged without having to remove it. With the drone set in beginner mode you can limit the distance it will fly so you don’t have to worry about it getting away from you. Some people have mentioned having to remove their phone from its case to make it fit in the holder. I have an iphone 8 and mine fit in the holder just fine without needing to remove the case. Finally, if you do have a problem, Holy Stone has great customer service. I would definitely recommend this drone.

Great little Drone!

This is a really nice drone. It is not expensive and has lots of "must have" features that you would think you could only find on a much more expensive drone. GPS and "Return home" are two features that are essential. It has alot of other really nice features, again that you expect to find only on a more expensive drone,....Headless mode, follow me, One touch take off and landing. And being able to set flying parameters ( bassically seting up a "geofence") is really a great feature. I am a beginner, but I have done my research. This is a really great drone for a beginner. Learning to fly it was a breeze. You will become proficient very quickly. And It takes great photos and videos which I will post here soon. And Holy Stone is a great company to deal with with terrific cutomer service. This should be just as important in deciding on which drone to by as th drone itself. As I said, I did my research before I bought This. You should try calling the cutomer service of any company BEFORE you buy their drone. One company that sells on Amazon and claims 24/7 customer service does not show their number. When I finally got their number and called it, the message said" the magic jack cutomer is not in service!" Another company's cutomer service was one person! Holy Stone's customer service is terrific and really there by phone 24/7. If I have a problem, I want an answer right away, not in one or two days by e-mail. Their customer service is one of the main reasons I decided on a Holy Stone drone. And this drone has got lots of great features and is easy to fly!

Decent little drone

Has many great features. This drone flys very nice and smooth. The GPS works well. And takes great photos. That being said I did have a small issue with it. I think it was probably just a fluke.Holy Stone has been great as far as replacing it no questions asked, and quickly I might add. I still would purchase another just because of how good the customer service has been,knowing they stand behind there products.

Great for the person looking for advanced capability on a tight budget

Great beginner drone for those looking for more advanced features. Out of the box I had some issues with calibration initially, mostly due to misunderstanding the instructions, but once I figured it out I was flying in no time. The app was easy to navigate and images are stored right on the wireless device you link to the drone. The remote is well built and easy to use. The only limitation is the actual size of the drone. The drone is susceptible to winds and images can be fuzzy as a result. The drone is still flyable and handles the wind well but it isn't as stable as a larger drone might be under the same wind conditions. All in all I'd recommend it for someone looking for more advanced features than the average toy without spending hundreds of dollars to get started.

Simple and Fun

This was my very first drone purchase! This was really not that hard to set up and use. It was pretty fun to fly. Some of the things that I wasn't ready for were: Stable/Straight camera, Long battery charge (3hrs!), No extra battery to buy. Hopefully the extra battery and components will come soon.

Great beginner drone with lots of options/fail safes!!!

As a previous owner of the HS110D drone, I was thrilled to see the improvements and new features of the HS110G drone. By far the best feature was the inclusion of the GPS feature but others include the improved camera for 1080p captures as well as the auto-takeoff and landing features which are great additions. The HS110G drone does come with spare parts (propellers, landing gear, screws) in the event of an inadvertent crash landing that might cause damage. The only drawback comparing the HS110D to the HS110G model is the fact that the HS110G does not come with propeller guards but I would highly recommend purchasing the low-cost “Holy Stone Spare Parts Drone Accessories Kits for Drone HS110D” simply for the propeller guards which fit on the HS110G. This will help ensure that the propellers are even more protected for true beginners. Overall the best features of this drone are the GPS/Flight Parameter/Return to Home (RTH) settings. Via the mobile app settings you can customize your flight settings based on the individual flying the drone. Afraid of clipping high overhead power lines at 50 feet? Adjust your Flight Altitude setting so the drone is restricted to fly no higher than 30 feet. Afraid of drifting into the neighbor’s yard or a restricted area? Adjust your Flight Distance setting so the drone can’t fly any further than your desired range. The Flight Parameter settings are a great way to help a beginner from drifting too far when those unexpected conditions occur. I had a friend that brought his first drone (not this HS110G or any Holy Stone brand) a while back and he drifted a little too far, the controller lost signal, and he lost his drone and we could not find it. So why am I telling you this? The GPS feature combined with the Return to Home feature helps prevent some of these cases. Suddenly change headless mode and losing control of your drone because your orientation changed and your panicking? Not sure on your drone’s battery level and it starts to die suddenly? Or like my friend’s case, your drone drifts out of the controller range and loses control? Well have no fear, the HS110G has fail safes and a controller feature for Return to Home. This allows the drone to return to the location where it originally took off or allows for a quick easy way to return to home hands-free. So when that controller battery dies or your drone battery is about to die, it will return safely to its original take off location. Lost your orientation and your drone is drifting away, press the controller’s RTH button and your drone will return to you. Some additional features include the follow me options. Focus on your pictures and video via the app rather than trying to focus on flying safely and taking those pictures. The follow me options allows stable flying so you can focus on trying to capture those perfect moments. With spare parts, great customer service, and outstanding drone features for a true beginner, you can be worry-free with the Holy Stone HS110G drone. Highly recommend purchasing with the spare parts (propeller guards) and if you really want to enjoy it make sure you get another battery or two. I’ve even been able to let my kids fly it with little to no worries thanks to the auto-take off, flight parameter settings, and RTH features. Love it!!!
