A good usb audio adapter

After my front microphone and speaker ports stopped working, I was looking for a good solution to this problem. Luckily I came across this usb audio adapter. Getting it set up was super simple, and makes using my headphones for games and work teleconferences super easy.

Works as advertised . . .

I managed to screw up the headphone jack on my laptop and I was afraid I would have to spend $100+ to send it off for repair. A quick search revealed this type of USB adapter which could provide me with a headphone connection. I got it a day or two ago and it worked great! It is a bit bulkier than the headphone jack itself but is less so that others I looked at. It was just what I needed!

Great

I bought this so I could use a simple pair of headphones with a mic for voice chat in games. Windows 10 recognized it instantly and it works perfectly. The audio quality on both input and output sounds good to me.

It's perfect

It works great on my nintendo switch. When docked I don't have to worry about a wire coming out from the top of the console. Leaves room for that sparse second and last usb port.

Small with Quality Sound!

I buy this because the headphone jack in my MacBook Pro suddenly stops working (I tried all the fix out there: reset sound card, buy an optical cable, plug several times, use a stick food to disable the "optical sound") and so far (almost a month) the USB sound card works with same quality sound like the sound card. There is no "noise" or anything like that, is like using the original headphone jack. Pros: Smallest sound card, great price, save money instead of "fixing the hardware" .Cons: Nothing :-) I would love to have a "grey" version, same color like my MacBook Pro.

Literally Plug and Play

This item works great on a couple of my Windows 7/8/10 PCs that don’t have any microphone or sound ports. I am able to use any headset or earbuds w/mic with this adapter and the sound quality is great. I used Apple headphones and several others, and they all work and sound great. You just plug it in, there is no driver to install or anything.

Solves Y Splitter Cable Problems + More

It's funny, I was actually about to return this item, but I'm glad I didn't; I originally bought this for a HyperX Cloud headset that was bleeding sound into the mic input through the Y cable splitter that came with it, and it solved the issue of the sound bleeding through the cable (even when the mic was muted) entirely. But I ended up returning that headset and purchasing a new one, this time a Coolermaster MH751. I was under the impression that my sound bleeding problem was unique to the HyperX but it wasn't; same problem with sound bleeding thru my output into my input even with my mic muted. That's where this USB adapter comes in: It's such a godsend being able to just plug it into the front panel USB port and getting rid of all sound bleeding through the Y splitter AND it actually improved my headset sound with the built in sound card. I am extremely satisfied with this product and I would recommend it to anyone that has issues with Y splitter cables or just wants to boost their headset's audio depth with the sound card.

audio input for Raspberry Pi

Needed an audio input for my Raspberry Pi, and this does the job. Image shows SOX spectrogram of signal from the supercheap CDM324 module (24GHz doppler radar) watching the traffic by my house. In five minutes, eight cars and one jogger. I started with an Android tablet, so I already had my circuit feeding the 4-pole TRRS connector you need. Note the case/sleeve is not ground but "mic in" and ground is the next ring (uses CTIA standard, not OMTP).

Clear & Crisp w/no interference or background noise

We use ‘Skype for Business’ for phone calls. Bought Trond USB Audio Adapter to utilize opposite side of laptop as cable insert for Betron BS10 earbuds w/mic. Needed adapter to go from 3.5 aux jack to USB2.0. Audio is clear & crisp with no background noise or interference. Just what I was looking for. Use for phone conversations, not for music listening or gaming.

Works excellent, good sound quality.

Works for me with both stereo headphones and headsets (headphones with microphone). Materials are good enough although I wish it was sitting in the USB port more tightly. Great sound quality!
