Plays discs well, stores away easy!

I love my tablet computer but it doesn't play DVDs so I bought this for travelling. It works great and best of all, it is small and easy to store-the cord even wraps up on the bottom!

Easy to use

I bought this for my 9yo to use with her Chromebook. It works great and is easy for her to use to watch DVDs. It is small enough to fit well in her carrying bag too.

So simple to use just plug in and go

I bought this for my son which has a Chromebook which he received for Christmas. I did not know that the chrome book did not come with a CD adapter and I seen this on here and wow what a great price for the product. It’s so simple to use all you do is plug the cord in the USB adapter on your laptop. It then is as simple as plug it in and play.

Very good product, but READ THE DIRECTIONS!

This is definitely a good product for the money, but there's something in the directions that I was unaware of, and it pertains specifically to windows 10. I couldn't get this player to work when I first plugged it in to my laptop. Tried just about everything, but no go. Sooooo, how about we read the directions, 'cause like, who actually does that? Apparently, there's something called a VCL media player you have to download in order to make this video player work properly with windows 10. Fortunately, the download is easy to find, and it's free. Once I downloaded the VCL program, this player worked like a charm. It would be nice if the cable was a little longer, but to be honest, I think this product was specifically designed with compactness and portability in mind. The cable does fold up rather neatly on the underside of the video player, though. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase. Would definitely recommend.

Surprise!

I got this thinking I was going to be able to load all my items from my computer.. I didn’t read :-( BUT, better news ahead! I didn’t realize neither of my computers have a DVD drive, so guess what I got now!! Yeah me!! Hookup is a no brainer and I am super excited! What a great accidental surprise!

Works with Windows 10

Plug and play! Nightmare with a refurbished HP Compaq with Windows 10 and a defective DVD drive. I was afraid, based on reviews, that it wouldn't work with Windows 10, but I had already installed the free version of VLC Media Player, and it was love at first plug! Connected it directly to the computer, so not sure it will work as well plugged into a USB port, but it WORKS. Only annoying thing is Windows wants to scan the drive every time, even when I've already let it scan it. I leave it plugged in, and simply eject and re-insert a DVD left in the drive and VLC instantly pulls up.

Daughter loves it

I bought this for my daughters laptop. It's perfect. Found this so she can watch movies and play some games because ita replacing her TV. We are very happy with it. Recommend this item.

Plug and Play all the way

This was so easy to use! Plug and play all the way. It takes up like no space in my laptop sleeve and I can listen to my books on tape again. Along with playing the occasional DVD. Best external hard drive I've owned.

Portable DVD drive...

Just a bit thicker than the size of CD box. Works perfectly with my MacBook, now I’m really to file my income tax with Turbo Tax.....
