Best and safest one I've found!

Love this specific one over more expensive models! I had previously bought one on a daily deal for $15 and the charging port broke and fell out after one charge. It was replaced and the same thing happened again. This one has four, instead of just 2 conductors, comes with a cleaning brush and the micro USB. It also has important saftey features that other don't. For example, it will not light if the cap is down even if you hit the light button! Works flawlessly and also automatically shuts off after 10 seconds as an added saftey feature. On top of all of that, I received a free plasma candle lighter simply for registering the product that comes with a warranty. I've even lit it during a hurricane outside!

Great flameless lighter!

I like this design because it does not need fuel and charges very quickly. It heats up instantly and lights well. The construction is also high quality. The finish is very smooth and it has a nice weight and feels good in your hand. If your lighter has charging issues, you should try a different cable. It is probably a problem with the cable but not the lighter itself.

Great arc lighter

I am looking around and hoping to try some new lighter out there and I want something unique and different.. Came Across this Arc Electric Lighter. Let me say first off I love the fact that it's USB rechargeable, but also in addition to having awesome battery life, it's equipped with blue LED Lights and fire bottom that flash when ever it's getting low on power and the actual flame is pinkish/purple color its look pretty nice. Love the simple and sleek design of it. I think it's well built with a beautiful Glossy Black finish feels great in hand. Easy to keep clean and sometimes the electrodes can get a little dusty so I suggest cleaning it once in awhile either by blowing on it or using a small brush. After trying it out I've found that I don't need to be touching the electrode to light up anything. I just need to be close to the electrodes and it will heat up and it's actually might be hotter then touching the electrode.(so a few mm above the electrode) Overall I like this arc electric lighter I think of it as a new aged Zippo and I would recommend it.

Exceeded expectations

This lighter is great! So, so much better than my last one. I had previously ordered a Bolt coil lighter after doing a significant amount of research (because apparently, there just aren’t many really solid choices in rechargeable electric lighters, merely some that are less mediocre or bad than the others). It arrived needing to be charged, the charging cable broke within days, it didn’t last long between charges, it had no indicator to tell you when the battery was low, it was surprisingly heavy relative to its compact size, it could be difficult to slide open to reveal the coil because the lighter’s surface is smooth and slick and there’s nothing to get a purchase in order to pull it down, you had to hold the cigarette right up against the coil for a long time to get it to light a cigarette, the coil therefore got clogged up with ashes and there’s no brush or other tool included to clean it, and it just suddenly stopped working after a mere 8 months. By contrast, this lighter arrived charged (a nice and convenient touch) in a nice looking box (another nice touch), the charging cable appears to be quite a bit sturdier, it has an indicator to let you know the battery’s status, it is larger than the Bolt but is no heavier, and may even be lighter weight, and there’s a brush included – however because the plasma arcs are so hot, they can light a cigarette (or whatever) without having to make direct contact, you merely have to get it close and it instantly lights it up. I’ve only been using it a few days, but it has far exceeded my expectations, which were admittedly pretty low after my previous rechargeable electric lighter experience. However, it’s a solid choice that I would be happy with regardless, it’s just that I’m a bit more enthusiastic because of my very disappointing experience previously. I would definitely recommend this lighter to anyone looking for an easy to use, nice quality rechargeable electric lighter that’s a good value given its features, performance and the extra touches other ones don’t offer (as long as it lasts longer than my previous one that is, and I’ll try to update this review after I’ve had it for several months and let you know if it held up over time).

Totally Worth it! Works great and is super cool!!

Great little lighter. It has a nice hand feel, bit more importantly it works in high winds. I used it in my last backpacking trip and the Bic wouldn’t get the job done but this little Sipoe Electric windproof lighter lit that campfire right up. My smoking friends kept asking to borrow it all night because of its cool factor and functionality. Totally worth a purchase in my opinion

A+ Customer Service and Works Well

The lighter works great on incense and candles (deeply recessed pillar candles would require a splint). The battery meter is super useful. Though it works fine, I mentioned the asymmetric arc to the vendor and they volunteered (see image) to send a replacement since it should not behave that way. The replacement arrived rapidly and works perfectly (see image with both lighters). Two other tips: 1 be sure the electrodes have cooled before using the plastic brush to clean it (I tried cleaning it a lot to try to rectify the bad arc) and 2 it isn't a taser but still do not touch the arc. Directions say not to let it overcharge, which is a trivial annoyance.

Compact & Convenient

The Sipoe Windproof Arc Lighter is compact, not much bigger than a traditional lighter, has a decent amount of heft, is surprisingly stylish, and lights up every time. No jet of flame to set your face on fire, no raw thumb from rolling a striker wheel, no need to refill, just recharge. Bottom line, I'm very happy with it. How long it will last, whether or not it might explode (its basically a battery), and how durable it is (I doubt it could survive a drop onto cement or even wood flooring) remains to be seen, however. It is also a smeary fingerprint magnet with its smooth finish vs a matte one. UPDATE: After about a week of use, I can't imagine going back to a traditional lighter. I like the feel of it, its convenient, it lights fast, it lasts a couple of days on a charge, and so far its reliable. What I don't like is how easily the shiny finish scratches and attracts fingerprint smears. I hope they make a "gripper" matte finish version.

Very cool lighter

UPDATE 11/04 This is my first electric lighter, which I have ordered over four months ago. Yes, it still works great! I'd like to give more further points. + The design is very elegant and slim. Exactly as described and illustrated in the photo. + No beep noise, at least for me is OK + It does not wobble or feels cheap, on the contrary, pretty solid. I like its weight which makes you feel that it is worth more than $15 + Cigarettes or other materials can be ignited by the oblique arrangement of the electrodes without problems + Battery indicator is very convenient for you both in using or charging + Packaging is appropriate and also perfect for being packaged as a gift from Amazon - A small problem is that when charge it, you'd better plug the cord into the USB port gently, it is half plug-in design. To the good end, a very nice and practical accessories regardless of smoking or not.

Read before you buy!

This lighter was well designed and feels very durable. Pros: 1. This X design is much better and easier to use than the other I design. 2. Doesn't allow you to light it when the top cover is closed/shut. Cons: 1: The same like any other rechargeable unit or device, the battery gradually drains itself overtime. So, make sure to check the battery level often.

Lighter purchase

The lighter I bought was for my son for his birthday. He liked it very much, but he smokes a pipe and he said that it doesn't work well for lighting the pipe, but he also camps and said that it will probably work well for lighting camp fires. Thank you for your inquiry... Sincerely, Rey Sweeney
