I dont know about their intended use, but these plates worked great for a brigandine I made.

Quality, quantity, and price worked for me

It's hard to find this type of mending plate for a decent price, quantity, and sturdiness. I used the plates to convert a tri-fold door into non-folding, sliding door for a pocket door I'm constructing. This heavily used sliding door is working out great with this hardware. I'm testing it before adding the back side of the pocket door. Because of my experiment, now, I'm converting another tri-fold door into a non-folding, sliding barn door. Another family member liked mine and thinks it will work great for the barn door he is adding in his studio room that will replace the heavily used bathroom door and leave needed space.

Just what I needed

I had to join several pieces of wood for my project in tight places and putting nails into the wall was not an option. These did the job. I was surprised they were stainless steel - although other reviewers mentioned it.

Should do the Job

Seems ok to me! They are not magnetic and possibly stainless steel as someone else mentioned. RIP for my drill bit I guess. Yes, mine were are a little scratched from them jumbling around in the bag, but they seem to still look decent under the plastic. I dont need pretty for my use, though. Pic is of front, back, and after removing plastic.

Thicker/better quality than others

These are a win. Thicker/better quality than similar items we've bought in the past from elsewhere. This is definitely a good decision.

Great bracket!

great packaging

the packaging was better than I expected. the screws are in small bags of 4 and not just one large bag. I purchased to fix a screen door and the plates worked great.
