Very easy to see at night

Magnet is strong which I like since the old one I had always slid down my refrigerator. I like how it can easily see the text and it's super bright since we tend to use our grill at night and there isn't a lot of light where it is. It is heavy weight and I appreciate the quality.

Works quickly and accurately!

It's long overdue I left the dark ages of waiting for the slooooow hand on the biotherm to make it's way around.... all the while the oven temp dropped with the door wide open. I got an accurate temp in seconds without the waiting, hoping, and guessing it close enough! My teriyaki pork chops came out perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy!

Right out of the box, it measured the temperature of the air! Not only was a battery included, an extra battery was included. Previously, we had 2 thermometers - one for candy and one for meat. This does both. It fold conveniently so that it can be tucked into my back pocket when grilling.

Good food thermometer for my air fryer

I recently bought an air fryer and started to explore air fryer recipes. I noticed that it is not convenient to take a piece of meat out and cut it open to check if it is well done every time. This thermometer can just do it in a second with out cutting the meat open. I don't usually cook steak at home because it is hard to control how well the steak is cooked, however I tried it yesterday it was easy with this thermometer, you just check the center temperature frequently and compare to the steak cook chart.

Auto turn on when you flip over, waterproof, accurate reading.

Used the thermometer when I’m bbq, the temp reading was fast and accurate. It came with an extra battery for backup use, very thoughtful seller. Why I know is reading accurate? because I tested on myself for my body temp reading (Not medically approved), it reads very accurate of my body temp. It does what it suppose to do. Great for gift too!

Excellent inexpensive, all-purpose thermometer

I purchased this thermometer because it was inexpensive, but also covered a wide range of temperatures. So far: I have been able to use it for low temperature things like making yogurt and icecream with good results. I have also used this thermometer for baking and grilling and haven't been disappointed. I really like the magnet on the back and find myself sticking it to things, just because I can. I have yet to test the thermometer on candy-making, so I cannot speak to the precision required there, but I suspect it would also be fine. My grilling area is quite well lit, but I could see this being useful for darker grill areas or camping due to the backlight, which is only on when you want it to be (which probably saves batteries too). Cons: This thermometer, like pretty much all other things it seems, is made with a plastic housing. I would love to see some more durable materials, particularly as I couldn't see leaving the probe to rest against a sauce pan (e.g. candy making), for fear of it melting. I wish it had a rechargeable battery or took a size that could readily be swapped out for a rechargeable type battery (it takes a watch style battery). Sure I could wish for more, but for the price, I don't feel you can go wrong.

Fast, easy to use and waterproof!

I had to replace an old thermometer (different brand) because it got water inside it and quit working. I am thrilled I don't have to worry about that anymore. Also, the LCD screen is big enough to see and is backlit making this great for outdoor grilling at night. I love the idea of a magnet so I can hang it on the grill until I'm done cooking. Clean up is super easy and because it folds in half for storage it fits easily in my kitchen drawer. I was amazed that this thermometer even comes with an extra battery...I've never heard of such a thing. You cant go wrong since they even offer a lifetime warranty. Not only do I recommend this thermometer but it will make an awesome gift for weddings, birthdays, etc.

Great product

Overall this is a great inexpensive kitchen thermometer. It seems to be accurate and I love that it has a built in magnet so you can attach it to anything Metal. I also appreciate the extra battery. If you are looking for something good quality but inexpensive this is the one. I just wanted to update my review: I actually only wrote this review because the seller offered me a $15 giftcard. However I did as they instructed and the never responded so I just wanted to let everyone know that don’t right a positive review just because the offer you a giftcard because it won’t come.

Favorite feature is the auto "on" when you need it

We are very happy so far. It's been used to measure the temp of steaks off the grill, tri-tip out of the smoker, and baked bread from the oven. It's been reliable and easy to use. It can attach to the fridge with its magnetic back or hang from our pot rack. See pix. The extra battery is much appreciated. My favorite feature is that it will automatically turn on when the probe swings out of its safety channel. And off when it's pushed back. Unlike our previous style which often had a dead battery because its on button got bumped in the kitchen drawer.
