Size Matters!

I am starting a new business of restoring classic, desirable high end turntables. As you may imagine, the range of sizes of screws and other fasteners is exhaustive (and exhausting,) many of them very small of unknown gauges, thread pitch, etc. So far the most challenging situation is when I need to replace a set (aka "grub") screw. Measuring the size whether Imperial or metric and thread pitch is nearly impossible. Big box hardware stores carry a very limited range of choices, not to mention the time and travel expense involved with going to one or more hardware stores only to find out they have nothing you need - except of course there's more tools, newer but duplicating the tools you already have and DON'T NEED TO BUY! So I ordered this assortment, knowing of course that there are some sizes I will never use and thus will be "wasted". But sure enough, one size fit a current and desperate need EXACTLY, and it's one that I will likely need again in the future. I'm not a metallurgist, so I can't speak to the ultimate quality of these screws. Given the price, I'm sure they are not top of the line. However they will probably work for my immediate need, and even if I only use them to discover the sizes I need in the future it's money well spent. The packaging is just "OK" - it's what you expect (and get) at this price point, so I won't knock of any stars. The same goes for the quality of the metal, even though "alloy steel" is a pretty generic description that leads lots of room for interpretation and variation.

Good set screws

Great set screws and good value. Also liked that they included the M2.5 screws. A lot of sets don't have these.

I got this set for my dad and he really likes the set and loves that it comes with a case. Each screw type is wrapped up, so it won't shift in transit. Comes with Allen wrenches too. He said it was just what he needed and I loved the price! Great buy!

Amazing set at a great price!

All the allen wrenches you need. Each set of allen screws in their own separate bag and each of those zip top bags in a separate compartment in the plastic case. Wrenches fit in there too!! Very nice and perfect fastener kit. Would definitely buy again.
