I've been using this bowl ever since I got it. The yarn hole doesn't always work with my yarn balls that are self rolled but not to worry the weight of the bowl keeps it stable so the hole isn't necessary. I would definitely recommend this bowl to anyone. cant beat the quality at the price point.
