AMAZING Customer Service

I got one of these and there was a problem with the microphone, it created a buzzing sound during recordings. I contacted customer support and they have already replaced it. It was fast, easy, and they were easy to communicate with. The new recorder does have a slight buzz to it but it's not nearly as bad and it is completely usable and great quality. These recorders are easy to use, lightweight, and can store hours of recordings. They are very sensitive, too, which is exactly what I need out of them. HIGHLY recommend.

Worked perfectly for what I needed!

I needed a recorder to record my choir rehearsals and concerts. I had tried a different brand that did not work for me because it never stayed on long enough to record what I needed (at least an hour straight, and during concerts, over two hours of continuous recording). I returned the other one and tried this. I had read several reviews about recorders (from other sites) and a lot of good reviews mentioned some EVISTR models. After looking at a few here on Amazon, I decided on trying this one because of the price and that it took a microSD card. Also, there was one reviewer who said they did record I think it was a 2 hour recording successfully. I set it to record using MP3 format at 128 kbps (I wish they had 192 kbps but 128 is good enough) and to record to my microSD card. Tested a 5 minute recording at home and it worked well so the following night I tried recording one of my rehearsals that ran an hour and a half. I listened to the entire recording the following morning and the sound was clear and it recorded everything. The recorder was probably 30 feet away from the choir and the recording was perfect. Well done! Quite happy with this purchase!

Great product and customer service

I was purchased 2 of these and they work wonderfully, I was making the mistake of not selecting the correct microphone, so I messaged the customer support team from EVISTR and they got back to me within hours and cleared up the issue!

Great cable for the price

This is an excellent USB Extension cable, the quality of the cable was much nicer than I expected for the price point, you could easily pay $20-$25 for this cable in a store, highly recommend if you are in the market for a USB extension cable!!!

easy to get started and very good price

• Cost ~$34 at amazon • Option to set a passcode (00 00 00 up to 20 20 20) • Arrives empty (no pre-recorded music samples or commentary that other “off-brands” I've tried have had in the past) • Does not require a computer, but can plug into the computer for simple file moving • Good recorder and speaker in default settings • Can playback at variable speeds • Comes with lapel mic if desired • Comes with earbuds • Charges with USB cable and appears to be a micro charger which means that it can be replaced easily • Comes with aux cable to easily play in the car (we do not want Bluetooth or internet capabilities because of security) Cons: • The instructions were written by someone whose native tongue is not English, but they're pretty good (I give recorders to patients to listen to doctor appointments again and will probably create my own package insert) • No Spanish instructions • The password is not the most secure situation, but it is a solid layer of protection I have not seen previously on a simple device. o It can be reset a bit too easily and when reset it does not erase the data that is already there. • Does not come with a wristlet cord, but there is a spot for one • Out of the box it needs the time and date set so that it names files correctly, so do that right away

Great little recorder!

I was worried it might be hard to operate but it isn't! I figured it out in about 5 minutes even without using the bit more confusion directions. The design is a breeze to operate, and easily plugs into my laptop to save to computer and can be erased from both the machine or laptop. I love the weight as it is easy to hold. The quality of sound is good and is super powerful so be careful. The price is excellent for the product and I am a writer using it for my book. Excellent buy!

Easy to use

Very easy to use. Great service and support. Addresses issues very quickly Like that you can add a 32gb micro Memory card Which increases the 8gb or 16gb that came with the recorder. Had to text support to help me switch from the recorder memory to my 32gb memory card. To do that.... go to MENU... save position.... select TF.... hit play button to save. You are now using/recording ONLY 32gb memory

Quality in a small package

I gave this recorder to a granddaughter who has a horse farm in Texas. It has excellent. It is compact, well made, & has excellent recording ability (good pick up & sound). Very happy to order another one for myself. I would highly recommend. Regards, Stan

A helpful recorder

So far the recorder appears to be good. The headphones and the microphone was great and useful. The mic only records on the both channel and very convenient to clip on cloth and recording while making a speech. And the jack can also record line in,so i can get easy to convert my favorite songs from tape to digital mp3 with the little recorder.

Great multifunction recorder

I received this device to review and compare to a previously received recorder from EVISTR. The first thing I noticed was the improvement in the user instructions. The instructions for the other recorder were in a small hard-to-read manual, and not a very lucid translation from what I assume was Chinese. The instructions for this recorder are on a large fold-out sheet, with clear graphics. You can still tell that they are translated, but they're much easier to understand. The recorder itself is small, and feels substantial. Controls are simple and easy to operative. If you wanted to conceal it to make a recording it would be easy to do so. I tried it in a shirt pocket and it worked fine. The sound quality of voice recordings is very good. Music recorded with the line-in function not so much when played back from the recorder, as you would expect from a device this small. The included ear buds were a substantial improvement, and I would guess a better set would sound even better. The included clip-on microphone was easy to use. Activated Voice Recording worked well, and at midlevel sensitivity did not seem to trigger with extraneous sounds. A TF card (microSD) can be added to increase the memory, if needed. Recordings are identified by date and time, and there's no way to rename them on the device. They can be easily transferred to a computer and renamed there. There is an option to transfer music files in mp3 format to the device, and they will come over with the names. This doesn't seem like a function many people will use. All in all this was a significant upgrade from the L53 recorder - smaller, easier to operate, larger internal memory and the ability to add microSD memory.
