Great for automotive wires.

Easy to use and worked as described. These were a perfect fit for my European car 22-24 AWG electrical wires. The lowest heat gun setting shrinked, sealed, and soldered the wires really fast. Continuity check passed.

Solder makes the difference. Crimping is so 20th century. Just need a heat gun. Shrink wraps cable while heating. I think a blow dryer might melt solder also. Just get a $10 heat gun from Habor Freight. You'll never look back.

Absolutely Excellent

Ideal for joining small wire that is almost impossible to join otherwise with a strong connection. I use this product for electrical connections to LED lighting on my farm equipment and MUV. Great for hard to reach connections. I use a long reach butane BBQ lighter to effect the shrinking and melting of the low temp solder. I love stuff that works.

The new way to couple wires...

Crimping will mostly be a thing of the past with the advent of these. Altho it seems to be tough to liquify the solder, they seem to work well. The heat gun seems like it will melt the shrink wrap too much before it looks like the solder [may] bleed into the wires. On a couple attempts i had to wait until it cooled and then try to pull the wires apart to find that it didn't take.... could be a learning curve but overall, I'm excited bout these...
