Needed a couple of extra larger chef's knifes for mom's kitchen so I can cook while there but didn't want to spend $$$ for others to destroy when I'm not there. Bought several to try out, this was the best of the lot. If you are used to higher end one you may be disappointed in the weight. I found that the feel and edge preforms extremely well. Not a solid as my home knives are but I wasn't disappointed in the performance.

I would 100% reccomend. I bought 4 of these as a gift for my cooks a month ago and they love them! There balanced well, razor sharp, hold an edge, and have a beautiful/comfortable western style handle. The only recommendation i do have is that if you have extra small hands you might want to shy away because the handle is a bit bigger then most knives ive used but if your an average sized individual you wont have a problem and be very pleased with this knife. And for this price how can you go wrong.

I purchased this knife before it was actually released, and before I saw any reviews. So it was a bit of a risk. However, I have had my new knife for a few days now and I could not be more pleased. Construction quality, balance, and "feel" of the knife are all excellent. The knife also came packaged in a beautiful gift box. The price I paid with an online coupon was literally a bargain for a knife of this quality. I would give it six stars if I could!

I am a big proponent of Cutluxe. I bought your 8" chef knife in both the classic and pro versions when they were first offered, and have been directly responsible for the purchase of many additional knives by my family and friends. I recently received a Cutluxe e-mail introducing the 7" santuko and ordered three of them, which I just received this morning. Two of the knives are gifts. You have to be aware that the words "German Steel" on the blade are incorrectly spelled "Greman Steel" I love your knives and believe in your company. What arrangements have been made to remedy this error? The contact link on the Cutluxe website does not work. Come on Cutluxe, get with it !!! Best regards, James R. Butler III "UPDATE" The owner of Cutluxe personally responded and addressed the two issues above. This is truly a class act company producing high quality products and an exceptional value. Kudos to Cutluxe for their excellent customer service.

This knife ad kept on appearing on various social media platforms & games. I figured buying it through Amazon Prime I've got nothing to lose. If I'm allowed to mention it without hyperbole perhaps my best purchase of 2019. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and multiple hours doing meal prep for the family, there is nothing like having a well-balanced sharp tool. This knife without question went above and beyond my expectations. I love the weight I love the balance I love the grip of the handle, this knife truly makes you want to wear a chef's hat. I'll share with you how I've used it on both extremes. Slicing through an uncooked sweet potato has always been a task. With this knife it's like going through warm butter. 2nd Slicing paper thin Michigan tomatoes in season without them sticking to a knife then this is the product for you. I bought this on May 25th I've used it almost everyday and I ordered another one for my dad's 81st birthday that I gave to him last night. Some of the reviews mentioned the misspelling of the word German Greman* It's true I don't know why Yet at this price point and this quality I do not care

I'm currently working as a cook, and I have used this knife for the last few days. When it arrives, it is very sharp. The overall design of the knife is gorgeous. It's weighted right at the hilt, as a chefs knife should be. It's quite light for such a large knife, and is comfortable to use for many hours on end. The German steel used in the knife is a High-Carbon Stainless Steel, which is quite good for both keeping a sharp edge and rust resistance. If your budget is around 40 bucks, this knife will only cost half of that, and will absolutely fill all of your requirements. *UPDATE* At this point I've used this knife daily for the last week or two. It still performs wonderfully. After about two days of very heavy use, it does lose a bit of it's edge. It's only noticable because I like my knives to be razor sharp. But a few strokes with an accusharp or honing rod will sharpen it right back up. *UPDATE 2* I moved to a new job, still as a cook, and brought this knife with me. I didn't get to use it for weeks because my coworkers all love it so much!! So I bought another one :) The feeling this knife gives compares to a $140 Forschner knife that I've used in the past.

Judit, although Im not a trained chef,I do recognize quality when I see it,and this is itl. The appearance, the balance, all there, thank you ,a work of art, for sure.So pleased,Thank you,David.

As a former catering chef, cookbook author, and foodie, these knives' quality rivals that of professional-grade knives costing hundreds of dollars more...each!!! They would make phenomenal gifts for anybody who likes to cook and are packaged beautifully!!

My brother is an Executive Chef here at a private Country Club and he says this knife is JUST as good - if not better than his super expensive knives! Highly recommended!

If this knife lasts for 6 months it will be worth it. Great weight, nice and sharp. We have much more expensive Asian and Euro blade knives... This is our go to now and I bought a 2nd one just 'cause. Will update after I need to sharpen but seriously, you can't go wrong for general cutting needs and you aren't one of these dudes that writes 8 pro & con paragraph reviewers. Enjoy!
