It made today's dab possible, so there's that. It came next day. Its a beast. Bought it to replace this exact one, purchased well over a year ago and heavily used before it broke.

Need to use a butane fuel tank with "long nozzle" to fill it with butane.

Just like all other re-chargeable butane lighter or torch, you need to use a "long nozzle" butane fuel canister to add butane to this torch. The butane fuel canisters with short nozzle is usually for portable butane stoves, not for recharging a butane lighter/torch. For safety reason, it comes with no fuel. So you will need to add butane first. The instruction says do not continuously use it for more than 5 minutes. Although this torch is designed to be used in the kitchen, I see it works just find with some small craft and hobby metalworking projects.

Decent

It didnt came with gas but i read the listing again and it said in the title that it doesnt come wih butane gas so make sure to read the listing thoroughly. After adding gas, it worked like it was supposed to and i was able to light up torches and candles easily

Does the job

I love making some creme brulee or baked alaska for special occasions. This torch gets the job done quickly. Now I am not an avid user, and prior to this just used the torch from the garage because it was because it was simple, but i now can keep this guy in the kitchen. It does the job, nothing too spectacular about it, But after a few uses it still hasn't fallen apart on me, So i would say the value is there. Body is made of plastic mostly, and the colors of the finish are nice as well.

TORCH EVERYTHING !!

This has been a great kitchen addition, I am so excited about it! I want to torch everything! So far I have just torched creme brulee's, which the torch was excellent for, and I sterilized some small metal tools with it. It has an open and close feature which is helpful for cautionary storage. Butane not included, but cheap ($3) and easy to load. I love that it has an adjustment knob to, there is a pretty good range of power to the torch. Some of the creme brulee's do look burnt but that is because I am figuring out how to be French, not because the torch isn't good (tip- torch a fairly low-intensity continuous circle around the side of the cup rather than directly in the middle, and it will crisp much more evenly). The base is sturdy too and it doesn't feel like it will fall over when it is standing.

Great torch for cooking!

Easy to fill with butane. Have to buy butane to fill it as it doesn’t come with it. Super hot blue torch flame. We already brazed some meringue key lime pie! Kids roasted marshmallows with it. I could see it also being used to solder as well. Many uses for this little torch. Seems to be well built too. Sturdy.

Easy to use!

This mini torch is easy to use with an adjustable flame. It's not to fancy shmancy but it's not expensive either. It does everything I need it to do including lighting candles that have burned too far down to reach with a match. (although I know that's not its intent at all) Unfortunately it doesn't arrive with butane; but once you fill it, it lasts a pretty long time!

Perfect mini torch for so many things

This is an awesome mini torch for anything you can think of. It holds a lot of fuel, it has an adjustable flame and easy to use but effective safety mechanism built into the ignitor.. We use it for marine heat shrink connectors among other uses. There are smaller ones out there, but we've tried nearly all of them and the dependability seems to be best in the mid size mini torches like this one.. Works great! easy 5 stars from me.

perfect for the kitchen

I got this for torching some desserts and it has worked perfectly. The flame is adjustable and there is an option to to keep the flame locked on, which has been handy when I needed to keep the flame going. You do need to buy butane separately and there is no gauge to tell you how much butane is filled in the torch.
